“Maycee was wonderful with our pups, Rocky and Oliver. Great communication throughout and always showed up on time and was kind enough to spend time playing with our pups. This was our first time having our pups cared for this way (we were using a local kennel service until a bad experience forced us to reconsider) and Maycee kept my wife and I absolutely at ease throughout with her check-ins and pictures of our pups. If you're new to the service or considering a new pet sitter, don't think twice about booking Maycee. She's absolutely the best and will be a wonderful experienced sitter for you and your pups!”

About: I’ve had dogs and/or cats in some capacity since the day I was born. From pet sitting for neighbors at a young age, to going to Veterinarian camp at St George’s University, I have always put the needs and happiness of animals big and small before mine The majority of my day revolves around the pets. Whether it’s walking the dog, helping the cat with whatever cats do, I am always looking to make sure they are clean, fed, and happy. I feed them, scoop litter, take the dog for walks and runs. Make sure the cat gets his allergy wipe downs (and compulsory treats). They even have their own separate spaces for eating. I know when they need/want space.

About: I’ve had both dogs and cats throughout my life, so I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with them. I have also taken care of senior animals and have experience giving them medicine. I also spent years volunteering at the humane society! Pets have a special place in my heart and this experience gave me exposure to so many different pet personalities and needs! I’m a caring, dependable, and attentive pet sitter who will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, whether that means an energetic walk, playtime, lots of attention and cuddles, or simply giving them a calm and comfortable environment while you’re away. I offer boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Every pet has a different personality and different needs, and I’m happy to take the time to get to know yours. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re gone! I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the day. I’m able to provide morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as overnight house sitting and boarding. I’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s routine and will make sure they receive the care and attention they need. I’m also happy to communicate throughout your booking and provide updates so you know everything is going well. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, and anything else that helps your cat feel comfortable. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal. I’ll treat both with care and respect, keep your home secure, and make sure doors, gates, and other access points are properly secured.

About: Have been pet sitting neighbors dogs and cats before. This includes feeding, topping off water, walking, and cleaning up after them. They were Pomeranian, chiwawa mix, border Collie, and short haired Bernese Mountain Dog. Also comfortable with cats as well. Not afraid of litter box cleaning, feeding, and topping off water. Love to use cat toys. I am currently unemployed and have a very flexible schedule right now. I am more than happy to help any pet in need to help the owners out. I normally play with the pet, make sure they have enough food and water. Make sure their needs are met. Take them for walks if needed.

About: I've owned animals my whole life! Growing up in Montana, I had all sorts of furry friends! Having raised four children, we always had pets of some sort! My kids are adulting now, and I currently don't own any animals of my own, so I thought I could get my furry fix by helping other owners when their pets need care! Just trying to fill my own void, while helping someone else out! I am self-employed and work from home. My days/weeks are usually pretty flexible! I sell real estate, and can usually take pets along for the ride, or am not gone for long periods of time during the day if I do have to leave! I am happy to take care of your pets the way you prefer they are cared for. I love fur babies, and am just not in a place in life to own them right now, so I wanted to both get my fur baby fix while at the same time, helping an owner in need! I have extensive experience with animals, and even worked in a vet clinic when I was younger.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. I currently have two dogs of my own—an 11-year-old chocolate Lab and a 2-year-old English Bulldog—as well as a Sulcata tortoise! I’m also a mom to two daughters, so I’m very comfortable caring for and keeping a close eye on others. I have experience caring for friends’ and family members’ dogs and other animals, and I treat every pet like they’re part of the family. I work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I’m also very active and love getting outside for walks, so I’m always happy to get some fresh air and exercise with your pup! I own my own business and work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m able to be home throughout the day and can easily make time for walks, playtime, and plenty of attention for the pets in my care. I treat every pet in my care like they’re part of my own family. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I’m attentive to their individual needs, routines, and personalities, and I’m always mindful of their safety. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax, I want them to feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve pet sit and cared for small and large breed dogs while assisting a dog groomer, I own the two most pampered cats in the world, and I’ve loved every second! I look forward to caring for your furry families! I’m currently transitioning into a less hectic work routine and love walking! This is something I love to do so it makes perfect sense, and I would love to meet as many animals as possible in my life. I administer an inhaler treatment to my cat daily, provide wet food, play, clean environments and litter boxes, and occasionally cook food to order for them. I have experience administering care (bandages, medication) to both cats and dogs.

About: Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, I spent my college years and over a decade in northern CA before relocating to Colorado in 2020. I’ve been a lifelong dog owner in some capacity and have years of experience house sitting for colleagues, professors, and families. I’m especially comfortable with larger breeds, senior dogs, and pets with medical or mobility needs. I have experience administering oral medications and following detailed feeding, walking, and care schedules. I pay close attention to routines and behavioral cues, particularly for animals who need consistency. I have also cared for cats, birds, small animals, fish, and reptiles. I’m now based in Centennial and available throughout the Denver metro area. I bring a calm, steady presence that animals tend to respond well to, along with reliable communication and photo updates while you’re away. I work fully remote for a Denver-based consulting agency, which allows me to be home-based and flexible throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I’m not commuting and can structure my schedule around walks, feedings, and check-ins. For house sitting, I’m able to provide consistent presence during the day and evenings, with regular potty breaks, exercise, and companionship. For drop-ins and cat visits, I can accommodate morning, midday, and evening windows depending on location. Because I work remotely, I’m especially well-suited for pets who benefit from steady company and predictable routines. I provide care exclusively in clients’ homes. Over the years, I’ve stayed in many households as a sitter, which has made me highly respectful of other people’s spaces and routines. My priority is maintaining your pet’s normal environment and schedule. I follow written instructions closely, including feeding, medication, walking routines, and any house-specific guidelines. I’m attentive to doors, gates, outdoor access, and anything that impacts safety, especially for indoor/outdoor cats or dogs with mobility needs. I aim to minimize disruption while you’re away. Your pet keeps their familiar space, and you get consistent updates and clear communication.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and have had them my entire life! Experience with dogs of all ages, from young puppies to seniors. I currently have two dogs of my own, a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd and a 6-month-old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, both of whom I raised from puppyhood. I’ve personally along with my Husband, worked with both of my dogs through training and have experience with basic obedience, leash manners, boundaries, crate training, and reinforcing commands. I’m also comfortable using an e-collar/ez educator (both of my dogs are trained on as well), when appropriate and following an owner’s established training methods and instructions. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, quirks, comfort levels, and preferences so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. My goal is for every dog in my care to feel like they’re spending time with another dog-loving family member, with plenty of attention, exercise, structure, and love. Worked from home in corporate tech for the last 7 years. Taking a break from that career and working part time, so now I will have plenty of time to play with your pets! Starting out with dog walking and visits! Open to over night stays if needed as well as long as my husband is home with our own dogs! May expand into boarding at our home with fenced in back yard. I’ll follow your pet’s routine and your home instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, and provide plenty of care and attention. I’ll communicate with you throughout my visit and reach out right away with any concerns. For boarding at my house - I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur babies company! Experience with many different types of dogs and will follow your instructions tailored to your pup!

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Windy Hills

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
