“This was my first time ever using Rover and Jake made this a very easy experience for me due to nerves of leaving my pup for the first time ever. Jake overall is a great sitter he sent me pictures thur out the evening and in the morning and in such a short notice he was quick with communication and overall an amazing sitter will be back soon ! Thank you”

“Emily was wonderful! We arranged a meeting in advance to give my dog a chance to see the space and place. Then Emily was flexible with timing as we firmed up plans. She took great care of Aubrey and her dog Gigi was a super pal for Aubrey.”

“We left our frenchie puppy with Lori & Frank and couldn’t have been happier. After meeting Lori & Frank we knew he was in great hands. They are both so warm and caring and you can tell they love animals. They took amazing care of him and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”

“Sara was outstanding at taking care of our beagle for a week, despite us asking her last minute. She dealt with an issue where our dog had a potty training relapse and solved the problem by getting diapers. She gave our sweet girl lots of playtime outdoors at the dog park and beach. Sara is clearly an experienced dog sitter who takes great care of her customers. Thank you Sara!”

“Awesome sitter! Super easy to work with, great communication, and sent photo updates. Scouty was in great hands and came home happy and tired (in the best way). Would highly recommend!”

“Tom took great care of our pup, Bunker! He was very responsive and sent us updates and photos, which we loved! We could tell Bunker had a great stay when she started pulling in the direction of his neighborhood on our first walk back from our trip :-)”

“Kevin and Arushi were great! We recently had our wedding in the area and wanted to have our dog nearby because he was our ring bearer. It was a very big day! Kevin and Arushi were very flexible, responsive, and coordinated with us and our dog handler. It was seamless and everything turned out perfect. Waldo came home a happy camper. Thank you both so much!”

“Elena and Holly were excellent sitters for my chihuahua mix Toaster. They were very communicative, responsible and Toaster was happy and healthy when I returned from my trip. I will definitely use them again!”

“Dennis and his family are terrific! They took care of my rambunctious 1.5 year old pup Henry over the Christmas holiday and treated him like one of the family. He had a great time playing with the other dogs and seemed to really enjoy his "vacation" at Dennis's house. Highly recommend!”

“Heather was fantastic! She was extremely easy to work with and responsive and took great care of our dogs. One of our dogs is especially nervous in new environments and can be reactive with other dogs. Heather was able to get him to calm down and settle and provided plenty of updates and pictures to let us know they were doing great.”

“Kosara is new to Rover, but not new to pet sitting. She lives in a bright apartment directly behind the Mill Valley Pet Clinic which her mother ran for many years. I felt immediately at ease when we first met and knew Stewart would be in capable hands. I was updated daily with photos where he was clearly making himself at home. I’m so glad to have found a local boarder who I can trust. Thank you, Kosara!”

About: Hi! I’m a mom, and lifelong animal lover based in San Rafael. With over 20 years of experience caring for pets—including sitting for all of our friends dogs and cats—I bring both heart and hands-on knowledge to every dog I care for. I work from home and offer dog walking, pet sitting, and boarding 7 days a week. I love being outdoors and make time daily for walks, hikes, and playtime in nearby parks, trails, and beaches. I have twins in high school who were raised around animals and love spending time helping to walk, play, and socialize with our furry guests. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy, a senior dog needing special care, or a shy pup who needs patience and love, I adjust my schedule to meet each dog’s individual needs. I've cared for puppies and seniors needing medication, and everything in between. I'm located right near beautiful walking trails, and beaches, and dog-friendly parks—perfect for pups who enjoy both exercise and social time. When your pet stays with me, they’re part of the family. Safety, affection, and joy come first in our home—and yours. Let’s chat about how I can help care for your four-legged friend! I work from home and have plenty of flexibility to pay attention to your pet. I have twin teenagers who both love animals. Your pets won't be short on play mates or love here! I am right by a great park and trails for fun walks. I don't have a crate for sleeping, but I have comfortable dog beds. I cook for our pet milo, so if you need home cooking Ican accommodate that. Milo is almost 17 years old! He is part Corgi and Part Belgian Shepard. He loves other pets that visit us.

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 14 and am kind, gentle and respectful. I love being with animals and engaging with them. I walk dogs often because I love to walk myself! I feel dogs should be outside often and move around and not be left alone. I work from home part time in a relaxed, comfortable environment. I also take walks about every two hours around my tranquil neighborhood for exercise. I love to hold small dogs and pet bigger ones as I feel pets need attention. I have a comfortable, clean condo with plenty of green space and walking g paths outside. There is also a fenced balcony. I don’t own any pets.

“Carla was wonderful with our 18 pound mix Charlie! She went on lots of walks despite the rainy weather and was well-taken care of. We would certainly hire Carla again to watch Charlie!”

“Martha was so wonderful with Maica. She understood my rescue dog’s unique mannerisms and tended to them lovingly. She was communicative, kind, and easy to work with. So appreciative of her care!”

“Mary is kind, compassionate, and extremely attentive to the dogs that she cares for. We were a bit nervous to leave our two rescue dogs for 10 days for the first time, but Mary handled them with grace and ease, and took extremely good care of them. The dogs had so much fun and we could tell they were thoroughly enjoying themselves from the daily photographs that she sent. She followed all of our care directions and medication instructions wonderfully and was highly communicative throughout the stay. I can’t recommend Mary enough! She really is the best of the best of dog sitters.”
