“This was our second time working with Stefanie, and she was fantastic again! She’s reliable, communicative, and so friendly. We really appreciate the consistent updates and photos while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“Devan was wonderful house/dog-sitting our two dogs for two weeks while we were out of town. He was very professional and came over the week before to meet the dogs. We were able to see how he interacted with them and trust that he could handle them! He took great care of them while we were gone, shared regular updates, and cleaned up after himself and the dogs before we got home. We would absolutely recommend Devan for any dogsitting or animal care and hope to work with him again.”

“John was absolutely amazing! He communicated updates and pictures and left our home in perfect condition. We loved being able to meet with John ahead of our trip and felt confidant leaving our animals with him. Thanks so much! Will book again”

“Anna was amazing! She was very communicative and I know my dog received lots of love while we were gone! I didn’t worry about him at all, and she took great care of our home too. I would absolutely recommend Anna for dog sitting!”

“This was our second time booking with Kasianay and it won't be our last! Our dog, Mable, loves spending time with her. She is an excellent house sitter and did a fantastic job communicating with us while we were away.”

“Brittany was awesome! I felt 100% comfortable with her taking care of my two dogs while I traveled. She sent updates with pictures and video everyday. I will definitely book her again and would highly recommend her!”

“Viva house and dogsat for us while we were on vacation and she was absolutely great. She was very communicative before and during the stay and our dog loved her. She also sent lots of pictures, which was very appreciated! We will definitely look to book with her again in the future”
“Bryan was a dream! He was proactive every step along the way and responsive whenever I reached out before and during the booking. He treated my home and pets with great care and attention. I would happily give Bryan my highest recommendation and gladly have him back anytime. Thank you, Bryan!”

“Jessica was SO GREAT!! Sent so many cute pics and updates while we were away and left the house so nice and clean when she left. Will definitely be calling her again!”

“Sydney went about and beyond with my anxious dog, Rosie. They also left my home in better condition when what they found it. They provided regular updates, pictures, videos. I would highly recommend for any of your pet care/housesitting needs. It’s always hard to be away from our pets but I know my dog will be in great care with Sydney!!”

“Alfie was so well taken care of with Cabby! She watched him for almost a week at our house. We loved the regular updates and all the love and care she gave our sweet (but very needy) Pitt Bull! Cabby is incredible and we are grateful to have found her!”

“If I could give over 5 stars, I would. Leslie stepped in 7 days before my trip when another sitter backed out. My dog had just had surgery and recovery was not going as planned. Leslie was able to stay with him the whole time, was excellent about giving him a bunch of medicine, and dealing with a dog unhappy to be in a cone! She checked in routinely and updated me about how my dog was doing! The peace of mind I had was amazing.”

“Jordyn did a wonderful job, was prompt, and took care of both my 14 week old puppy and my 4 year old goldendoodle. She cleaned up after a few puppy training accidents and when my precocious pup decided to take a mud bath in the yard she even gave her a bath. Bailey the 4 year old is also sneaky when it comes to food so she helped watch her and made sure she didn’t get into anything she shouldn’t. Lastly, she helped out with some laundry (blankets and towels) the dogs had gotten dirty. She was great. I’d recommend her to others and she’s definitely a big dog lover!”

“Did an amazing job with our pets and really went above and beyond with her pet sitting services. She stayed at our home with the animals and was a great house guest while we were gone”

“Jenny was great - provided regular updates and pics. And my pup seemed super settled and enjoyed having her as his sitter. She also left my place very clean! Would definitely recommend!”

“Laurel stayed with our senior diabetic cat for 10 days while we were away on vacation and did a fantastic job! We came home to a very content cat and a spotless house.”

“Mike was extremely communicative and took great care of our house and baby Mattie. He took her on lots of walks and gave lots of updates throughout the weekend. Thank you Mike!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Constitution
Our dogs, home, and garden were well cared during a 10-day trip abroad. Blake listened to instructions, was super flexible on scheduling, made communication easy, and seemed to really enjoy our pups' company. It felt great to come home to happy dogs and an orderly house.

Justin is fantastic! He took such great care of our dog and made sure she was comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. He was also incredibly respectful of our home and somehow left it in even better condition than when we left! We came home to a happy pup and a spotless house. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely recommend Justin to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable!

James was simply awesome. Great communicator and great with my older pup. She was so calm when I got home, I can tell she got plenty of time on walks and attention in between from someone who knows how to work with dogs very well. He stayed at my place and left it spotless too. Highly recommend!

Nicole came and stayed with our anxious Italian Greyhound Stan in our hotel room for several hours while we attended an event in Atlanta. We couldn't be happier with the care and company she provided Stan! We appreciated that even before our arrival, she gathered information on Stan and was very communicative. When she arrived, she immediately knew what to do to calm him down and by the time we returned from our event they were fast friends. She kept us updated with reassuring messages and photos. We highly recommend Nicole for pet care and intend to engage her again for future Atlanta trips!

Yunju and her partner are very communicative, very friendly, and always kept me updated! They stayed over a few nights and left the house exactly as it was when they came in! My dog felt safe and comfortable with them, just as I did! Trustworthy and sweet people I would definitely book again.

Lauren is reliable, attentive and respectful. Lauren watched my two dogs while I was on an extended trip, and I had peace of mind the whole time that they were in great hands and being well taken care of. I especially appreciated the updates and photos each day. Very grateful and highly recommend.

Leslie was awesome, a breeze to communicate with and steppe into such a wild situation with an elderly small dog with special needs, a brand new rescue and a very vocal old hound. She knew how to handle all the various needs and meds and temperaments. We already booked her for your next vacation! And great calm energy!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Constitution walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Constitution maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Constitution choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Constitution. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
