They get their breakfast at 8.30-9am, whether or not we walk before breakfast depends on things like if we did a late night walk or if the weathers really bad etc. Walks are irregular depending on pets mood. A snack around 11am, dinner around 4pm, then they get a bed time snack or treat around 8pm, bed time is 9-9.30pm.

Meet with the client and their pet in their home before beginning the pet sitting assignment. Develop a rapport with both the pet and the pet parent. Get down on the pet’s level and interact with them. Reassuring my client that I’ll attend to and care for their pet the best possible manner. Don’t wait for the client to “check in” with me. Instead, proactively communicate with my client. Managing the pet parent’s expectations is crucial and can be the difference between success and failure at the job. On my last visit, tidy up the client’s home and brush the pets, so they look good for their parents’ return home.

10 questions I typically ask before pet sitting... • How many pets will I be taking care of? • What is the pet's temperament? • How do you deal with bad behavior? • How do you reward good behavior? • Are there any medical issues or allergies? • What is the pet's daily routine? • Who should I contact in an emergency? • What are your pet's triggers? • Can the pet be left alone? For how long? • Is there anything else I need to know about your pet?

Walks, nice long walks in parks or trails or other pleasant places are always appreciated. Games, interactive play with toys, balls, even a stick is fun for fetching. Scavenger hunts can stimulate both their bodies and minds just by hiding a few of their favorite treats around. I also love bringing puzzle toys to keep your dog mentally and physically active while they work to solve puzzles to get treats or find the source of a squeak. They can also help dogs that eat too fast to slow down at mealtime. Some dogs really enjoy chilling, watching TV while laying in/on your lap, being scratched and stroked.

Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. Ever since I can remember, I have always been around and loved animals. I have helped house sit and pet sit for my grandmother’s clients for many years since I was about 9 years old, I took care of pets that could not hear, were blind and as well as complete healthy and happy ones. My Grandma was very influential in teaching me to love and care for them and how to read their body language. When our neighbors would go on vacation I would care for their cats, dogs and fish. I have had many beloved pets growing up, including; cats, dogs, rabbits, fish and turtles. Currently I have a 4-year-old Staffordshire Pit Terrier, his name is Zane, a 9 month beta fish, his name is Franklin and a 6-year-old cat, her name is Minx. They mean the world to me! I hope I get the chance to meet and care for your furry kids!

Tiana did a wonderful job caring for my 3 foster kittens while I was away. She provided great communication throughout the visit, sent plenty of photos and updates, and gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She also took excellent care of my home, and everything was better than I left it when I returned. I would absolutely recommend Tiana to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, and I look forward to working with her again in the future. 🐾

This is the second time Tiana has watched our pup & I really can’t recommend her enough. I feel so at ease knowing she is with him! He gets a ton of exercise and attention, and she communicates so well.

I highly recommend Tiana as a cat sitter! We rebooked her after the fantastic job she did the first time. She took excellent care of our home and even taught my kitten to use her new window seat, which was a wonderful surprise. Tiana's attention to detail and genuine love for animals made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She also sent great pictures and updates every day, which I really appreciated. I'm truly grateful for her dedication and will definitely book her again for our next trip. If you're looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter, Tiana is the perfect choice!

Absolutely not. I wouldn't have even give 1-star if it wasn't required. This feedback is easier to provide in a timeline. Booking: 4 nights arriving 3/28 between 8a-10:30, ending 4/1 between 4p-6p 3/27 6:48p: Tiana advised the latest she would arriving on Friday was 10:30a. 3/28 10:30a: Tiana advised she was on the way 12:22p: Tiana advised she was 15 min away 12:22p: I advised I left for the airport at 4:30a. We were right at 8 hrs for her being alone. 12:39p: She advised she was walking up 12:45p: Door unlocked by Tiana - arrived 2 hours, 10 min later than expected. Olivia was alone for 8.25 hours. 1:49p: Left for walk 1:10p: Returned from walk 1:21p: Left the house - At this point, Tiana spent a total of 35 minutes with Olivia after Olivia spent 8.25 hours alone. 1:50p: Tiana sent “Cuddles and treats before I run a few errands” Tiana had already left the house 20 min earlier. 11:24p I messaged Tiana saying I was concerned Olivia had been inside, alone for 11 hours and asked when she was planning to return for the night. 11:32p - She advised she was headed there now. 11:43p - I told her I don’t want Olivia being home alone that long and can’t have it be a risk every time she leaves. Asked her to let me know what her plan is for the remaining stay because if she can’t be with Olivia for the agreed upon times and durations, I need to reach out to Rover and/or return home. 11:57p - Tiana stated she would be unable to complete the booking and it would be best for me to find another sitter. Advised she would be out of the house by 7:30a . Rover had their own issues going on in this situation and dropped the ball, resulting in not being able to get an emergency drop in. After less than 24 hours, I had to cancel my vacation and spend $700 on a flight to get home. By the time I arrived, Olivia had been alone for 12.5 hours, had no water, and missed a meal. She eats Farmer’s dog and if she had received every meal, there would have been ½ pouch to feed her for dinner, but there was not an open pouch.
