Hi! I’m Paola, a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, both as a dog parent myself and as a trusted sitter for friends and their pups. I have a 6-year-old German Shepherd of my own, so I understand firsthand just how much patience, consistency, and attention go into making a dog feel safe and cared for, especially when it comes to high-energy or anxious pups. Over the years, friends have also trusted me to care for their dogs while they’re away, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and needs beyond my own pup. I know every dog is different, and I’m intentional about getting to know what makes each one comfortable, whether that means plenty of play and activity, sticking closely to their usual routine, giving them space to warm up, or simply providing lots of company and affection. Being a German Shepherd owner has also taught me a lot about reading body language, respecting boundaries, building trust, and creating a calm environment. I’m comfortable with larger dogs and understand the importance of being attentive and aware during walks and interactions with other dogs, people, and new environments. I genuinely enjoy learning about animal behavior and pet care, and I’m always looking for ways to be a better pet parent and sitter. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I want you to feel confident that while you’re away, your pet is being treated with the same patience, kindness, and attention I would want for my own dog. And you can absolutely expect updates! I’m a big communicator and love sending photos and little check-ins so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets in a client’s home. I know every pet has different routines, personalities, and comfort levels, so I do my best to follow your instructions closely and keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible while you’re away. For drop-ins, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, meals if needed, potty breaks or litter care, playtime, attention, and lots of love at their own pace. For walks, I focus on staying alert, patient, and attentive to a dog’s body language and environment, especially in apartment or city settings where there can be a lot of stimulation. I’m very respectful of clients’ homes and always aim to leave things exactly as I found them. I also believe communication builds trust, so I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and cared for.

Schedule
When your pet is with me, you can expect lots of care, communication, and flexibility. I work from home, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feedings, and check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches of time, and I genuinely enjoy having animals around during my day. I know how important routines are, especially for anxious pets or apartment dogs, so I try to keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Whether your dog loves long walks, sniff-heavy strolls, playtime, or just relaxing nearby while someone works, I’m happy to adjust to their personality and needs. You can also expect frequent updates and photos because I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel nerve-wracking. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for from start to finish.
