About: As the VP of a dog rescue and senior shelter volunteer for many years, there isn't an animal I don't feel comfortable handling. From young puppies to seniors, to active dogs and dogs that need patience or positive reinforcement training, I am here to help! I am currently a part of the Department of Education reduction in force, so I have a flexible schedule mornings through mid-afternoon, Mondays through Fridays. I will follow whatever instructions you provide for your dog. If you'd like your dog to get some socialization, I am happy to include our personal dog who is incredibly dog social and tolerant. Please message me if you are interested in that at no extra charge. I am experienced with dogs that are not dog social as well, in addition to reactive dogs and dogs that are wary with people. Really, anything you and your pup need, I am here to provide.

About: I have grown up with dogs from a young kid and they have always been a constant in my life. My kids always had at least 2 dogs in the house and even though they are gone, I still loving pets around. I specifically like to take care of small to medium dogs, senior dogs, and dogs that are house trained. I am very excited to start this journey on Rover and meet and take care of your dogs. I am retired and am at home full-time which gives me the availability to fully cater to your dogs. I like to go on walks in my neighbourhood and spend time in my fenced in backyard. I have a fenced in backyard with plent of room to play and run around. I also have a very walkable neighbourhood and have an extra room for your pet to have their space.

About: I watch dogs in my home. Your dog will have plenty of play time with my dogs in my fenced in yard, daily walks, and I enjoy training basic commands and leash walking. *Note: I am not the right fit for dogs who need to be the only dog in the sitter’s home. I work from home M-F with a flexible schedule that allows for plenty of yard play and neighborhood walks. Because my work hours are different each day, mid day dog walking is not possible for me unless you live in the Hyattsville/Bladensburg/Riverdale area of Maryland. Communication, safety, and advocating for your dog’s needs are of utmost importance to me. For example, my dog loves trail runs, hikes, and trips to the dog park. Should your dog enjoy any of those activities, you can trust that I will be attentive to their needs and advocate for them in different environments. If you’re not sure but want me to try, I’ll be attuned to your dog’s cues and respect their communication. I will not push them past their limits - they need to know I have their back. I have one large and one small crate should your dog be used to crate sleeping or in the process of crate training. Let’s discuss what your dog needs to feel comfortable when we connect.

About: I’ve always loved dog sitting, ever since I was a little kid and would dog sit for all my neighbors. I had a dog, but he had left us and I miss him very much. I love the companionship and am always excited to spend time with new friends! I currently only work once a week, and do school from home, so I have all the time needed to play with and take care of your pet! I have a fenced in courtyard with grass and plenty of space, and friends/family who love to come visit and will give your pet plenty of attention. There is nothing I like more than spending time with a dog!

About: My best friend is my deaf dog, Timmy (I have human friends too, but they're less obedient). We didn't know that he was deaf when we adopted him, so he doesn't know his name. He is four years old, and very well-trained. He loves having doggy friends, just like me. Before Timmy, I also raised two voluptuous guinea pigs named Swiss and Muenster (like the cheese) in addition to caring for recreational therapy guinea pigs who live at the National Institutes of Health. I promise that your best buddies will be in good hands with me no matter what service you choose. I can also guarantee that your favorite furry friends will be thoroughly exercised before they are returned back home to you. I am in my junior year of college at the University of Maryland College Park, so I have extra free time on certain days to walk dogs and provide doggy day care :) In my home, I am always sure to have the dogs go outside regularly, with at least two walks during doggy daycare. I provide plenty of water and will provide any food or treats that you might bring for them. I will give them lots of love and playtime as well :)
