“Heather gives Meg and Simon so much love and attention when she's here. So much that my neighbors notice in a positive way. Heather also will do little things around the house like water plants, run the dishwasher, etc. She usually leaves my place nicer than I left it. I never have a worry when Heather is watching my two goofballs.”

About: With 10+ years of animal care experience — including 4 years as a veterinary assistant — I’m especially experienced with seniors, anxious or shy pets, and those needing medications or extra TLC. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and treat every pet like my own. Providing care for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle — my schedule is intentionally flexible so I can be available when your pets need me most. Whether you need help during long workdays, weekend trips, or last-minute schedule changes, I’m happy to accommodate a wide range of needs. Let me know what your pet’s routine looks like — I’ll do my best to match it, so they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Within the client's home, I do everything I can to make their pets feel safe, seen, and loved. I know how important it is to maintain their routine and environment, especially for pets who thrive on familiarity. I take time to build trust, go at their pace, and make sure they feel comfortable with me in their space. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, extended visit, or overnight stay, I’m respectful of both your home and your pet’s boundaries. I always follow instructions carefully, provide updates along the way, and make sure your pet is happy, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. For the health and safety of your pet, I kindly ask that clients provide their own grooming tools — including brushes, combs, nail clippers, styptic powder, and any other essentials your pet is familiar with. Using your pet’s personal tools helps prevent the spread of bacteria, and ensures a safe, and hygienic experience. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are always my top priorities.

With my many years of experience, I’m prepared to give your pet(s) the best care possible while you’re away! :) I am available for house sittings, drop-ins, and walks, and am willing to provide around-the-clock care for your pet(s) if needed! I am also available for repeat/scheduled visits. Anything from the basics of mealtimes, walks, and playtime for your pet(s), to gathering mail, watering plants, tidying up, etc., I’ve got it covered! From standoffish and shy to energetic and snuggly, I am happy and willing to work with your pet(s) regardless of temperament and will always ensure they get the love and care they deserve! Having an anxious & reactive dog of my own, I understand how important it is to always have patience, quick reaction times, and a watchful eye. I am extremely diligent and responsible, assuring that your home and pet(s) are looked after with careful attention.

“Diana arrived early which ended up being a blessing as we got ready to go! She did an incredible job as our dog was a bit standoffish at first. Diana quickly built a strong and trusting relationship with our pup and was very patient! Would definitely love to connect her with our dog again!”

About: One of my first memories is of adopting a stray that we named Chiqule (Gum, in Spanish) because he decided to stick around. Ever since then I’ve picked up many of our four legged friends and made them family dogs. Many years since having my own pet, my love for our furry friends has yet to dwindle and I continue to pet-sit and house-sit just for the opportunity to hang in with a little fur ball. I have experience with a small senior dogs and dogs who have required medication, 3+ walks a day, or an extensive park visit. I’ve house-sat and makes sure to build my schedule around my four-legged, temporary bestie to ensure a stress-free time. I like to establish constant communication and updates with the pet-parent to make sure all is well. I regard play time highly but makes sure to only ruff-house and much as per-parent sees fit. Cuddles are optional but recommended. I my work hours are 8:30-5 but travel form Berkeley to Hayward so I can pop in within that 15 mile radius! My weekends are a lot more flexible. I make sure to follow a requested guideline and/or care checklist from pet-parents. I make sure to scope out the potential yard for any hazards and establish some trust with pets before going out on our first walk. If treats are allowed or provided, I will reward my furry friend when I see best on our initial walks to establish trust and respect. Play-time is important and can also be carried out as the pet-parent sees fit.
