“Melina was an incredible dog sitter for my pup! She is highly responsive, thoughtful, and followed all of my instructions. It was my first time leaving my dog over the weekend using Rover and it was a great experience! My dog became quickly comfortable and relaxed with her and she made sure to send tons of text and photo updates throughout the weekend. Thank you again, Melina!”

“Meshaal took great care of our 55 lb pup and our cat in our home while we were on vacation! They were thorough in preparing for the job, very communicative while we were away, and followed all of our feeding and exercise instructions. We would definitely have Meshaal sit for us again!”

“Tina is the best!”

“We love working with Anais! Her care of our senior Schipperke, Maz, has been expert and attentive. Being 17 years old, Maz has a lot of needs and Anais has cared for him both during the day and overnight, and we've been so grateful for her attentiveness to him around his routine, his meds, and for making sure he feels taken care of and loved. We're so glad we connected with Anais and will definitely be contacting her in the future!”

About: Hi my name is Samantha (Sam) and I’m 32 years old and live in Oakland. I have two years work experience at a doggy daycare/kennel. I've worked at a family owned pet store in for four years so I have familiarity with birds, reptiles, rabbits, small animals of all kinds you name it I’ve cared for them. Raised in the Chicagoland area but have lived in the East bay for the last four. I used to foster dogs every now and then through North Shore Waggin. My companion and best friend crossed over the rainbow bridge this past April after eleven and half years together. I also have a car, a flexible schedule, and a knack for dogs. I promise to responsibly love and care for your pet so you don’t need to worry while you’re away! Feel free to ask me questions so I can get to know you and your pet :) * If you are rebooking a service, my price will stay the same as the original booking. I work around the east bay area and have my hand in all sorts of honey pots! I rarely work more than 6 hours total a day, and no more than 3 to four hours at a time. An average potty time walk would be anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. I try make time for one leisure walk a day which lasts to a minimum an hour. Cuddle/play time is a must! I have a lot of breaks throughout the day to check in and give your pet the attention it deserves. I love long walks and snuggle sessions. Animals like routine, so I try my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. If your pet is social and friendly, I would love to incorporate social time with them. Take them out to a café or to a park. We'll try to do all the things they would do with you!

“Qishu was a great house and pet sitter! She was responsive and sent lots of updates and pictures while we were traveling. All our pets loved having her over.”

“Dennis did a wonderful job watching my 13 month old Collie puppy. My dog is large and somewhat high energy and needs many miles of walks and Dennis did a wonderful job making sure that he got all of the mental and physical stimulation he needed. I got lots of picture updates, and felt very relaxed while leaving my dog while I was on vacation. Dennis also took great care of my home and was super responsive whenever I had questions. We did one meeting before I booked Dennis for the weekend, and then I booked him for one dog walk session before the Dog Sitting time because he was going to arrive after I had left. He was super open to everything and he reviewed my dog care instructions before I left. I felt like we had really clear really good communication. I’ve used several Rover pet sitters and Dennis is by far the best one that I’ve booked. I cannot recommend him enough! (unless you want him on the same weekend that I do and then I would still recommend him but I call dibs!)”

“Korin was wonderful as always. This was our third time having her back and she took great care of our pup Louie. She is reliable, responsive, and very easy to work with. Thanks, Korin!”

“Excellent service. Dane has great communication. He updates me everytime he comes and check on the pups. He takes cute pictures of them and spent time with each one, make sure they get all the attention they need. One of my dogs is reactive and difficult to handle, while most people turn him away, Dane makes sure he gets the care that he needs. I’m for sure will be a returning customer.”

“Michael took amazing care of our 5 month old high energy puppy and two cats while we were away! We received updates every day and he was easily reached. He was very professional and left our house better than he found it. Would 100% book again next time we need a sitter”

“Zsa-Zsa was wonderful! She took such great care of our three cats and kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She followed all of our instructions perfectly and was super communicative. We came home to happy cats and a tidy home :) I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!”

“Alyssa was incredible! She took amazing care of Pip, was super communicative, and went way above and beyond! I felt 100% comfortable knowing Pip was getting lots of love and attention while I was away!”

“Victoria was an excellent sitter! She did a great job taking care of our very energetic dog and was communicative throughout our trip. Would definitely recommend her!”

“We booked Sascha twice in one month because we trust her in our home and with our fur-babies who are senior cats. What is impressive is that Sascha always goes above and beyond our instructions. We will definitely be booking Sascha again next month! Note to Rover: please rid the maximum customized tip of 30% allowed. I know that I am not the only one who would like to tip more for wonderful caring service.”

About: Our pets are family. My approach is a balance of attention and simple structure that makes for happy socialization. My partner and I have always had cats and dogs and I have experience with everything from puppyhood to the special healthcare challenges of senior pets (including administration of oral meds and injected insulin) I used to walk dogs back in college as a part-time job. Now, I am excited to make some new 4-legged friends and get out for some exercise together. I work from home part-time and with a very flexible schedule. I do long walks in the morning and afternoon and, if staying with us, in addition to walks, your doggie will have full access to the yard during the day to sunbathe and play. If house sitting at yours, I will be on hand with your pet at a minimum in the morning, for a few hours mid-day, and then all evening and night. We have a large fenced yard and two small, friendly pups (9lb young female yorkie and 12lb female coton de tulear) to play with. "The girls" are not crated at night, but I am happy to set up your pup's normal sleeping area if staying with us. For dog walking, I do 30-45 minute adventures with priority given to clients located in Oakland's Laurel, Dimond, Maxwell Park, and Redwood Heights neighborhoods. Ideally, your dog loves walking with some friends, but we can customize for personal pup needs.

“Kayla took great care of Moonbeam and my home. From the photos she sent, I could tell he loved her & was well taken care of. I look forward to booking her again and knowing my fur baby is happy when we are away.”

“Nina was communicative, thorough, and perfect with our dogs! We have 3 large dogs and Nina did a wonderful job taking care of them, as well as our house while we were away. Will absolutely become a repeat client”

“Osaze was great with Arthur. He was communicative, prompt, and an all around great dog sitter. Highly recommend him for your dog sitting needs!”

“We would definitely recommend Lei Lei for dog and house-sitting. Lei Lei is super knowledgeable about dogs and we could tell that she and our dog Milo became fast friends. Lei Lei was communicative and professional and left the house in perfect condition. We loved the photos and updates of their adventures, though as crazy dog parents we of course would have happily received more photos/videos.”
