About: I had a dog for 14 years who just recently unfortunately passed away. Having a furry friend in my life made such a huge impact on me and I love caring for them. I grew up not only having a dog, but pet sitting for many people in my community. I would love to care for your pets as it brings you peace and comfort and it is a joy for me to do so. I’ve been a dedicated pet sitter on Rover for over 3 years with 5-star reviews and plenty of repeat clients. I’m excited to be moving to Poughkeepsie, NY and am now accepting new clients in the area! I treat every pet like family and prioritize clear communication, reliability, and lots of love. Looking forward to meeting your furry best friend! I just graduated college so I will be working on rover full time and will be home all days of the week with your pet! I am moving into a new apartment which is dog friendly with a nice dog park downstairs. I will be doing rover full time and whatever your needs may be I will obtain them:)

About: As a dedicated dog walker with a passion for pets, I ensure your furry friend gets the exercise, attention, and care they need, giving you peace of mind and a happy, healthy dog. I am currently working full-time as a school librarian. However, I have the summers off and will be available during the week and weekends. When I go back to work in September, I will still be available to walk on the weekends And weekday evenings. I absolutely adore dogs and treat every pet. I care for as if they were my own. When visiting your home, I ensure your dog feels comfortable and love by providing personalized care tailored to their needs. I take the time to play, walk, and engage with them.

“Angie is the best thing that has happened to my Willow, she is super attentive, gives her a lot of love and keeps me up to date with everything that happens during the 30 minutes she walks her. Sometimes I look on the camera to see Willow's reaction when she sees her arrive and it fills me with joy to see how happy she gets when she sees her. I can see how much she enjoys being with her and when she starts with the zoomies I know she is happy. Another thing I like about Angie is that if I need her at the last minute and she is available, she says yes. Willow gives her recommendation at 10/10”

About: I have owned 4 dogs throughout my entire life and am a total animal lover! I love and enjoy walking and connecting with dogs, and have had much experience walking my own dogs (2 Portuguese water dogs) as well as dogs of my friends and family. I also have experience feeding, bathing, and playing with/entertaining dogs. They are my favorite! I am working part time with an ambiguous schedule, so I definitely have availability for walking dogs whenever! Weekdays during the morning/afternoon work best for me, but feel free to reach out about other times, I am flexible! I have a backyard with space to play around, as well as a retractable fence. I am comfortable crating if needed. My neighborhood is great for walking dogs as well.

“Mario is awesome! My dog Lucky is a difficult dog to take care of but he gives him all the love and care that he needs and keeps me updated. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Communicative and easy going! Aliza also took a lot of great pics of my baby which I super appreciate because I miss him so much on days I have to go into the office. Will 100% book Aliza again!”

About: Hi, My name is Max! I am a sophomore in college hoping to get my bachelor’s degree in biology! I’m a huge animal lover!! I have played basketball for my whole life up until this year so I love to get outside and throw the tennis ball or kick the soccer ball with my sweet doggo! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me want to pursue being a Vet! I have a dog of my own, Buddy and one other dogs in the house named Sheena I’ve volunteered for many shelters and I’ve loved every second of it. I’ve also pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet family! I’m currently working full time so I have plenty of time to be with your pup and play with your pup and give them lots of love. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and I have a huge yard and a pool if your dogs love swimming.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and breeds, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. As a collegiate athlete, I’ve built strong habits in time management, responsibility, and discipline which are all skills I bring to pet care. I’m a lifelong dog person and know that earning a dog’s trust takes patience, consistency, and a lot of love. I understand that every dog is different, from their personality to their diet, and I’m happy to make sure each one has a full belly and feels completely at ease. I also have experience with “bully” breeds and a special place in my heart for them. I know how incredible they can be when given the care and respect they deserve. Most importantly, I want every owner to feel at ease knowing their dog is safe, loved, and well cared for while they’re away. As a college athlete, my schedule can fluctuate, but I am local so I'm able to work with you and your family on what works best! While in college, I have many extended breaks from school, around the same time many families go on vacation, so a lot of my free time will be able to be devoted to your pet! I have two dogs and a cat of my own at home, unfortunately one of my pups isn't too happy with making friends with others, so all pet-sitting would be based in your pets home. However, this can be great as it doesn't cause any more increased stress for your pet while you're away. Whether visiting or staying at your home, I will do my best to leave your space better than you left it! If not staying over, I am open to making frequent stops in to check up on your pets and making sure they are feeling loved and comfortable while their favorite humans are away. I always have my phone on me and I am able to send updates about your pets, along with photos of them throughout my time with them!

About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, from big Rottweilers to tiny Chihuahuas, so I’m super comfortable with all kinds of breeds and personalities. Right now, I have a senior Shih Tzu, so I totally get what it takes to care for older pups who need a little extra patience and love. I’m always the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your pet needs some playtime, cuddles, or someone to stick to their routine, I’ve got them covered! I just graduated college this past May and I’m spending some time in New Paltz before heading back to NYC. The slower pace has been a nice change, and since I’m not working full-time right now, my schedule’s super flexible. That means I’ve got plenty of time to hang with your pup, whether it’s a midday walk, weekend visit, or regular drop-ins during the week. Just let me know what they need! Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I stick closely to their routine so they feel relaxed and well cared for in their own home. I’ll send plenty of photos and stay in touch so you always know your pet is happy and doing great. I’m also comfortable giving meds or handling anything specific your pup might need.

“Akash was great with my 11 month old lab, Clancy. I hired him for a 60-minute walk & he went above and beyond by offering to take Clancy on a local nature hike instead of his usual walks around the neighborhood. “Hello! I am writing this letter to highly recommend Amruta for the position of a dog sitter at Rover. As someone who has known Amruta personally and witnessed her exceptional care and dedication towards dogs, I am confident that she would be a valuable asset to your organization. First and foremost, I would like to emphasize Amruta's genuine love and commitment to dogs. She used to have a beloved dog of her own until a year ago, and I observed firsthand how she prioritized her dog's well-being above everything else. Regardless of the challenges life threw at her, Amruta always made sure to rush back home to care for her dog. This unwavering devotion and responsibility towards her own pet demonstrate her remarkable dedication to animal welfare. In addition to her devotion to her own dog, I entrusted Amruta with the care of my own furry companion whenever I was away. Without a doubt, Amruta exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Not only did she ensure my dog's physical needs were met, but she also went above and beyond to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. One remarkable instance was when she taught my dog to close the door while I was out, an impressive feat that showcases her ability to train and engage with dogs effectively. Witnessing my dog's love and enthusiasm towards Amruta when they are together is a testament to the bond she forms with animals and her innate ability to understand their needs. Another outstanding quality that sets Amruta apart is her profound knowledge of canine nutrition. She is well aware of the importance of providing dogs with the right, most nutritious foods to maintain their overall health and well-being. She possesses a thorough understanding of dietary requirements, portion control, and the potential hazards associated with certain foods. Amruta's commitment to offering dogs the best possible nutrition ensures their optimal health and vitality, making her an ideal choice for any responsible pet owner seeking a trustworthy dog sitter. Beyond her undeniable qualities as a caregiver, Amruta's professionalism and reliability are equally commendable. Her attention to detail and ability to handle unexpected situations with composure further exemplify her suitability for the role of a professional dog sitter. Maria & Doug S.
“Doug and Maria have been talking care of Jackson for over eleven years now. Not just taking care, taking really good care. Doug and Maria are everything you want in someone who looks after a member of your family. They are the only people who have a set of keys to my house. This is Brooklyn, you don’t give your keys to just anyone. They are the only people who walk Jackson, the only people who share their house with Jackson when we go out of town, and the only people I call when I have an emergency and need help. We noticed when Jackson went out with Doug and Maria he had more joy, he wanted to play more and walk further. It was obvious they bring Jackson joy. Doug and Maria both walk and board dogs at their house. Like I said, really good care. We can’t express enough how thankful we are for them”

Keyci R.
“Keyci is a great dog owner! I’ve witnessed her take so good care of her elderly little doggy for the past couple of years. Clintondale dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jackie was an amazing walker and followed the usual walk down to the step. We left some instructions, specifically as it relates to snowy conditions, and she was very attentive and did as instructed. She was very timely for all scheduled walks and was great about stepping in on extremely short notice. Very punctual, honest, and forthcoming individual whom we'd love to work with again. I can go on for a while, but I highly recommend her to anyone that might be looking. Thank you!
