“I requested Deann late at night, the day before and she was able to accommodate an early check in and late check out while in town for a visit day at VMCVM. Alice came back happy and seemed to have enjoyed her day with Deann. I highly recommend !!”

“She took great care of my pup, sent me pictures, and made sure that my anxious puppy was comfortable. She is the sweetest woman I’ve met and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Missy was happy upon pick up! They accepted my request at very short notice and were super accommodating. I received pictures of missy exploring their land during her visit. I will definitely use them again if I'm ever in the area!!”

About: I have always been an animal lover! I always have to stop and pet when I see them. I have often pet sat/boarded our neighbors animals for weeks even. I love all animals! I am currently a stay at home mom so I have extra time to come walk your pets, sit with them, or even for them to come stay with me I am home all day. At my home pets are always on leash and walked on grass/sidewalk. Can be kept in a separate area if requested! Clients home is based on clients wishes (backyard/dog park/sidewalk). I also have 3 loving dogs and 2 cats that stay with me currently!

“We used Corrie for doggie daycare while attending a Tech game. She was fabulous! Super friendly, sent lots of pictures, great property. We’d definitely use them again anytime!”

“Emily and her family are wonderful! They welcomed my old lad, Major, and genuinely seemed to care about him as they do their own pup. Emily sent photos of Major getting settled in and spending time with the fam and was very communicative. I continue to trust Emily with Major's care while I'm at the office, knowing he's in great, capable hands 😊”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. Last one a pug for 14 years. Took care of her needs being paralyzed for several years. Had small poodle for 18 years I am retired. Travel at times. Live alone. Really miss having a sweet doggy. Lots of love here to give to a pet. Always first with me. Have a nice place. Closed in deck. Screened in porch. About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: I offer experienced and loving care for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Having a 3-year-old dog myself, I understand the importance of a comfortable and social environment. I also have experience caring for dogs with specific needs, such as allergies, blindness, and complex medication schedules. My goal is to make your dog feel completely at home and well cared for during their stay. I work remotely, so I am home most of the day. I can adhere to your feeding and medication schedule. I also love taking dogs out for pup cups or excursions to dog-friendly stores (with owner permission). For holiday periods, a minimum booking of 3 nights is required. Thank you for your understanding. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly lab/heeler mix. Dogs have free roam of my home. I also have a comfortable crate if they are crate trained.

“It was a pleasure meeting Madison and her great family. She was a lifesaver taking care of our dog. Our dog was spoiled. I would highly recommend Madison for any pet sitting needs.”

About: I like to take a supervised yet hands-off approach to watching over dogs. That is, letting dogs be their curious and playful selves while making sure they're safe and well taken care of. I've owned dogs my whole life (breeds including portuguese water dog, rottweilers, maltese/poodle mix, terrier mix, schnauzer/poodle mix, and a german shepherd currently) and find that they are happier and better behaved when given freedom to explore and lead rather than be expected to remain obedient and tame at all times. Some pups need more structure and thrive on a little more rigidity though, and I am very capable of meeting whatever their needs are and sticking to what you know is best for their personality. I am easily swooned by all kinds of dogs but am not one to let them use their good looks and charm to get the best of me. I am mostly just excited to hang out with as many of these guys as I can! I do want to be transparent that I work regular hours Mon - Fri, so I cannot stay with your pups 24/7 during the week. That being said, lunch time bathroom breaks are a guarantee! Walks in the morning and in the evening, and a quick potty break in the afternoon! I do have a day job, but your sweet pup will always be my first priority. I have a large backyard and live just a few short minutes from the Huckleberry Trail 🙂 I also have a spacious yard where your furry friend can roam free!

About: -Raised with 5 dogs in my house my whole childhood -Cat lover as well, I have 4! -I’ve had all different sized pups, two beagles, two pit mixes, an english bulldog, and currently two boston terriers at home! -Helped care for my senior beagle before he passed away (he lived 17 years!) I’m a student at Virginia Tech and I miss my dog at home! I have breaks between my classes that allow me to pop over to your house and let your babies out during the day and I’m happy to stay over night on weekends! I don’t have any pets here with me at Tech but I have a yard and plenty of outdoor space for walks if you need your pet out of your house.

About: People like me because I LOVE pets so much. I have a 2-year-old chihuahua named Cheeto, and have had many size dogs over the years. I also have a cat named Marvel who is under a year. I grew up on a farm with a variety of animals from small to large, cats, dogs, horses, pigs, rabbits, and a peacock. My friends and family say that I have animal radar and know when one is near. I do well with a variety of temperaments, and warm up to the dog at their own comfort level. I send picture or video updates so the pet parents can keep in touch and not miss them. From past work with a pet brand and learned some good information about dog food and safety; and am a part of a petsitting group online where we share useful learning. I would have 10 dogs if I could, so this is the way to meet more! I look forward to meeting your best friends, and loving them like they are accustomed. I'm grateful to Rover for allowing me to make lifelong friends in addition to my petsitting business. It fits anytime! I do walks, pick-ups for vet or groomer, overnights, days or just multiple visits. I observe and communicate behaviors. Safety is key! Any service in your home, I usually shut doors that won’t be necessary to eliminate accidents during stays, play and walk and give them company or a game. I leave your home like I found it or better and communicate frequently for any direction from you or notification about your pet and home. Get the mail, water plants. At my home, I have a whole floor for them to hang out and look out a huge window to deer, birds, plants. We walk in the suburb, or take car rides if ok. Watch movies, naps. I make sure in any situation that safety and risk assessment is on point. If I don’t know I will ask. If it’s a medium breed or smaller dog in my home, I’ll walk them with my chihuahua, or if not, just walk separately.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 4 years old, however when I turned 9 I started caring for horses as well. I’ve also been handling little animals like guinea pigs and hamsters since I was 12. I graduated high school in 2022, I’m at home quite frequently! I have more than enough time that I can spend with your adorable animal/s! I have two dogs in my home to keep your fur baby company! Rue is very playful and just loves the attention. She’d hang out with your dog all day! Bailee is an adorable love bug who just wants to cuddle all day.

About: I play lacrosse at VT so I am very attentive to detail and have grown up with a large family with many pets and people! I am currently on winter break so I am looking to take on another job during this time! I am free most of my days other than when I need to train for lacrosse! I live in an condo style apartment that has access to outside from both the front and back door! There is a walking paved trail right behind my house that I can walk dogs on!

About: Throughout the past few years I've been able to help dogs walk better on a leash just by taking them on regular trips. I'm patient and happy to adjust to the dog's normal routine and the family's expectations so rules are still followed when they return. Overall, I'm doing this because I love dogs and want to care for them just as you do! I do work a full-time job, but I’m happy to care for pets on the weekends, in the mornings and evenings outside of my work hours, and can many times care for them during lunchtime. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of the environment and ensuring that the client’s expectations for home care and the relationship with the pet is respected (ex. Keeping pets off furniture, placement of toys and bowls, clean up).

“I have known Traci Roberts for several years. She has taken care of my dogs many times. About 5 years ago I was gone for 9 days. I usually take shorter trips but I didn't have to worry while I was away because of Traci. I came home to happy and healthy chihuahuas. She loves animals and treats them like part of her own fur baby family. I highly recommend Traci for pet sitting, pet walking, and especially pet loving.”

Mary G.
“Mary is one of the most loving and caring people I know with and without animals. Mary has cared for my animals for many years now. As a close friend and neighbor she has helped me in times of need and has shown such love for my pets like I do. She is one of the best pet sitters, I know. She always takes my dogs for long walks, plays with them and keep them occupied. She has great experience of her own growing up with multiple dogs and cats, and is always the first to volunteer to take care of them. She has a beautiful dog named Rudy, who is a handful, but she loves her to death. I would always recommend Mary to my friends and rover. She would be the best pet sitter and walker I know! Her love for animals is contagious!”
