About: I've watched dogs and cats with all different personalities and needs (i.e. blind, diabetic, anxious, etc.). I believe in understanding a pet's needs from the perspective of the pet and responding with compassion. I work full time, but can usually work from home if needed. I will talk with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's getting off early, working from home every day during the time of the sitting, going home over lunch for a walk, etc). I have no fur babies (or kids) of my own, so your babies will get my undivided attention and I will shower them with all the love I wish I could give to my own fur baby if I had one. (Know I recognize that love looks different for different critters - for some it may mean keeping a respectful distance!)
“Linda and David were great to Winston. Took Winston for walk on trail and also to the dog park. I am very comfortable leaving Winston with them in the future. Great couple.”

“Nancye is absolutely amazing! She loved and spoiled our Josey as if he was her own. I loved that we had the opportunity to have a meet and greet before we took our trip. She took him on walks. He loves car rides and she took him to get ice cream with her getting him a pup cup. It was our 1st time leaving him with someone new and she sent us pictures and updated all along the way. Nancye has such a love for fur babies and it shows. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Sydney was wonderful with both my mini schnauzers. She took care of their every need and gave them lots of love. We have rebooked with her for several more dates and will continue to book with her for boarding in her home.”

“We had to book with Kayla pretty much as last minute as you could get. Our original Rover didn’t work out and we needed to find somewhere quick. Kayla was super communicative and easy going! Her other dogs are all so sweet and well trained. It was a great socialization experience for our dog. She sent us so many videos and pictures throughout the booking. We loved Kayla and would recommend her 1000x over”

“As we were scrambling last minute to find a sitter we couldn’t of found a better one than Jessie! Amazing sitter, very responsive, and loving care for those she watches! A perfect go to! Thanks Jessie and Rex thanks you as well!”

“Richard could not have been nicer and my dogs seem to have enjoyed their stay! I was worried about my 15 month old English bulldog pouting the entire time, but Richard won her over. The location is wonderfully located high above the daily humdrum. If your pets are used to country living, they will thoroughly enjoy a stay here! I highly recommend and will be using for future needs.”

“Sam had such a wonderful time and we rested easy knowing she was in good hands and treated like their own. Liz sent pics and videos showing us all the fun she was having while we were away. Definitely have found a forever home away from home when we go out of town in the future!”

About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.
“Walt kept our boy, Teddi, for four days. Teddi is a 3 yo intact English Shepherd who has never spent a night away from us. Teddi is a very well behaved and friendly boy but we were a bit anxious how this would go. Walt kept us well informed on how Teddi was doing. Walt gave Teddi great care and a lot of attention. When we returned to pick up Teddi, it was obvious that he and Teddy had bonded very well. We are very pleased with the care that Walt provided and will certainly use him again.”

“Samantha is wonderful with my dog Charlie. I can leave him knowing he is happy and well taken care of. He is very excited when I pull up to her house to drop him off and when he sees Samantha. It's great not feeling guilty leaving him for a short or long stay. As a bonus, Charlie's behavior has improved since he has had several visits with Samantha, her family, and her pets!”

“Shannon took great care of my dog Howard, who was nervous in a new environment for the first time, but he relaxed quickly and she sent pics at different times to update me and let me know he was safe and happy. Shannon's communication was quick and she was very nice about watching Howard on a short notice after another sitter had canceled. I highly recommend her and I will use her services again!”

“We’ve used Nancy a few times for boarding our golden retriever pup and she is fantastic! We love her bubbly and welcoming personality. We’ve always felt like our pup has been in great hands with exceptional care. Highly recommend!!!”

“Angus had a great visit with Kurt! He was easy to communicate with a provided pictures while we were away. Looks like they had a lot of fun!! Will definitely use him again.”

“I needed someone to watch my sweet girl tootsi for a couple of days at the last minute and I’m so thankful I found Dianna! She and her doggo tonka welcomed tootsi in their home like she was apart of their family. Tootsi was happy when I picked her up, and Dianna even gave her a toy to go home with when she didn’t have to do that at all! I really appreciate how kind and welcoming she was & will be booking again if I ever need to! I also appreciate all the cute and funny videos and pics I got while I was away. 5/5☺️ !”

About: I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies who need structure and routine to senior pets who may require extra patience, medication reminders, or a slower pace. Because I care for multiple pets every day, I'm attentive to behavior changes, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and making sure each pet gets individual attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a reliable routine, I provide dependable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am currently working as a summer intern with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. I'm able to leave the office as needed for potty breaks, feeding times, walks, and check-ins, ensuring pets stay on their normal routine. Outside of work, I prioritize spending quality time with the animals I care for, whether that means exercise, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply providing companionship. Because flexibility is built into my schedule, I can be responsive to each pet's individual needs and provide consistent, reliable care throughout the day. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is for pets to maintain their routines and feel comfortable while their owners are away, and I make it a priority to provide that level of care and attention. I tailor my care to each pet's individual needs and follow the owner's instructions closely to keep their routine as consistent as possible. In my client's home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive plenty of exercise and attention, and get any necessary potty breaks. I also provide playtime, companionship, and regular updates so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is always to create a safe, stress-free experience where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owners are away.

About: I take care of my friend's cat, Charlie, when she is out of town. During my junior year of undergrad I fed two cats outside of my apartment for the whole year. The two cats showed up everyday for breakfast and dinner and always hung out outside of my apartment. I had two cats when I was younger.

“I traveled overseas for the holidays and was nervous about leaving my pets for a few weeks while being so far away, but Taylor made me feel completely at ease! I knew my pets were in great hands, and she truly catered to their individual needs. I have extremely shy cats, but they quickly warmed up to her and absolutely loved her. Because of that, I couldn’t recommend her enough—I was so happily surprised by how comfortable they became with her. I would definitely recommend her services!”

“Lauren went above & beyond! We forgot to leave a key & she made a special trip to the office just to pick it up. My cats were cared for perfectly while we were away. Thanks Lauren!”

“Allison was a fantastic cat sitter for my two kitties. Her updates were very sweet and it was clear that she enjoyed our cats and gave them lots of affection. I am so thankful to her and highly recommend her. I will book her again.”
“Katie takes great care of my two cats and gives them plenty of attention! One of them is quite shy and loves to hide, and Katie goes out of her way to find her and still check in that she is ok. She is great at communicating and always gives detailed updates, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend!”

“Caitlin was a fantastic sitter! She is very thorough with her care and ensures that she is upfront about everything! She took super great care of our 3 Cats, who can be a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes!”

“This is the second time Camille has looked over my pets and she did great! Always sent me pictures❤️ Don’t really have to worry too much about my fur babies when they’re with her!”

“Jessie did a good job taking care of my cat. She played with the cat every day and sent me plenty of photos and updates about her. I was very pleased with her treatment of my pet”

“Allison was amazing, and took very good care of our cats! I highly recommend her, and would have her take care of our babies again!!! :) Cats and the house looked GREAT!!!!! Thank you!”

“I am in a weird situation where I have a missing cat and needed someone to help check on my feral traps. Olivia has been wonderful! She is knowledgeable about feral cat traps and did not need instructions for how to reset them or anything. She has gone out of her way to bring snacks from home to make the traps more enticing. I am so grateful for Olivia’s help and would absolutely recommend her.”

About: Once upon a time I lived in a college house that was a revolving door of cats! It seemed as though each of my roommates HAD to have one so we already had 2-3 wandering around. I learned how to care for them during that time and have cared for them ever since! Happy to work in any enrichment and just spending peaceful time with them.
“Emily was a great sitter! She gave thorough and super cute updates after each visit along with plenty of pictures of my cat. I booked her very last minute and she immediately replied to any messages I sent, definitely would recommend!”

“Heather made sure our menagerie was taken care of while we were gone! This included our older cat, flock of chickens, and pet rats. We really appreciated her kindness, flexibility, and communication.”

“Anisa was wonderful! She took extra care with my baby, and spent more time with him than I asked. She even worked over the holiday and still kept in touch with me consistently. Will book with her again!”

About: Cats are experts at hiding when something is wrong, which is one reason I enjoy working with them. Whether your cat greets me immediately or prefers to watch from across the room at first, I'm comfortable letting them interact at their own pace. Some cats want attention right away; others need time to decide that you're acceptable. I'm comfortable caring for cats who need medications, special feeding instructions, or closer monitoring while their owners are away. I pay attention to changes in things like appetite, litter box habits, activity level, and behavior because those small details can tell you a lot about how a cat is feeling. My goal is simply to keep their routine normal and stress low, so when you get home, it feels like another normal day for them.

About: I’ve owned a black Labrador(Anna) for over 13 years, she has not once had any sort of health issue as I’ve feed her well, and kept her up to date on vet visits. I’m caring, compassionate, and smart and versatile enough to be calm in any situation that may arise. I assure you that I will treat your pet as if it were my own. This allows me the freedom to stay focused on your pet and be there when other folks have to leave. If a situation ever does arrive my strength are communication so you can rest assured I will be in constant contact, which as a pet owner for an older girl myself id expect from others if I left her in their care. If the pet requires adequate exercise I have no problem going on a long walk with them and the space is pet friendly as my dog (Anna) is there. In your home, I can assure you that my experience will allow me to provide the best care for your loved ones.
“Overall, they are AMAZING dog sitters and do a great job! I was given tons of pictures of my Auggie having a great weekend and I was very nervous to leave him for the first time. They did a great job instilling good habits in my puppy while having him enjoy his weekend with completely new people. I’m extremely satisfied and will be using them again!!”

About: I am a veterinarian who has dedicated her life to caring for animals. I have worked with animals from a young age, including many hours working in vet offices in high school leading up to college and vet school (became a licensed vet in 2020). I am quite comfortable with caring for animals who need medications administered, or more intense levels of care while their owners are away. Working with animals brings me joy and peace, and making sure they are happy and well cared for is my life mission. I believe in fear free handling, and I am happy to work with animals who do not trust unknown people. I am a licensed veterinarian but I am currently in grad school so I am very flexible. I can be home all day if needed, and can provide close supervision. I have a 3 year old female German Shepherd (very friendly!) and cats (mostly outdoor). I have the ability to keep my dog separate if needed but she loves playing with other dogs! I have a full sized truck and the ability to transport animals with me safely. I have 2.5 acres of fenced land for dogs to run and play as well as a small fenced in section adjacent to the house. A pet door offers come and go access to the house. I am free to drop in during the week or board animals for extended periods, and if your animal needs medications administered as part of their care I am very capable. I am comfortable handling large dogs (I have a lot of practice in my line of work as a veterinarian). I am also comfortable with young animals, cats, older animals, and any animal requiring high levels of care.

I provide a safe, calm environment where pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and I’ll always follow your care instructions to help them feel right at home.
About: My family has had dogs my entire life so I have been loving and caring for dogs ever since I can remember. Around the age of 13 years old, family, friends, and neighbors have all trusted and relied on me to take care of their dogs. On top of that, I have 2 years of experience working in a doggy day care center whilst in High-school. There I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I am able to feed, walk, bathe, and of course play with your fur babies while making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and safe. I am a full time student at Virginia Tech but have a very flexible schedule, as a lot of my classes are online. With that being said, I will be able to spend lots of time with your pet(s) to ensure they feel loved and comfortable being in my presence. While home in Charlotte during the summer, I have a fenced in backyard and am available anytime. I care for pets exactly how the owner requests that I do. Unless asked otherwise, making a connection with the pets is extremely important to me and giving them all the love while their parents are away.

I’ve also cared for an elder dog before needing insulin administered. I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible to work with your needs! I’m happy to work with you! I have a large un-fenced yard surrounded by woods; supervised time outside only and on a leash unless you and I both are confident in obedience to come when called. I grew up with cats and dogs in my family, and I currently share my home with two deeply loved cats. In 2024, I said goodbye to my soul dog, a beagle named Lulu, who passed peacefully of old age. Losing a pet is always hard, but it has given me a deep appreciation for the unconditional love animals bring into our lives and is a reminder to make each day count. Im able to provide ample availability, flexibility, and full-time care for your pets. Your convenience and your pet's well-being are my top priorities. Xxx xxx Being trusted with someone’s home and beloved animals is not a responsibility I take lightly. About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I recently graduated with my BSN in Animal Sciences, and have been working in the veterinary field since 2022. I am currently working as a full-time emergency veterinary assistant. I currently work full-time at an emergency veterinary hospital. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, my family had some growing up and once I moved out I got 2 of my own. I’ve also watched many neighbors and friends dogs since i was young and feel more than comfortable taking them out, administering medicine, and loving on them! Fur babies are family and should be treated as such! And that’s exactly the kind of care I would show your fur baby. Dogs are creatures of habit, so it’s important for me to know what your routine looks like so I can try my best to keep it the same. It will be as if you’re not even gone! I work from home so my days are extremely flexible. Aside from occasional meetings and needing to administer my own dog his medication three times a day (6am, 2pm and 10pm) I have an open schedule to check in on your baby. If you were to bring your dog to me, they would be in a spacious little townhome with an open yard. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with other dogs, as I have 2 at home that would be there with us. One is a staffordshire terrier/husky mix, and the other is a border collie. They all would get plenty of walks and playtime together. If I were to drop in at your home, I would take whatever care necessary! What that looks like is up to you. Taking your dog on a walk, administering medicine, playing with them, whatever you and your pet need!

About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. Over the years I’ve assisted with my mom’s petsitting business, volunteered and fostered with my local shelter and have taken various animal care based classes throughout my college career. I have experience with pets of nearly every temperament, age and special needs and have provided care for animals in various different circumstances through sickness and in health. I’ve lived in the Blacksburg area for almost a year now after accepting admission into Virginia Tech. Currently I’m working a part time job over the summer where I have been working early mornings starting at 5am and ending around 11am. I’m able to provide early morning care before my shift and in the afternoon when I am off. Along with care in the evening time as well. Unfortunately I am unable to do petsitting out of my own home but I will strive to give your pets the best care out of your home. If your pet has any special care requirements please let me know and I will gladly comply. I have experience in administrating oral and injectable medications and also caring for pets with mobility issues and behavioral issues as well
About: I have been taking care of my pets and the pets of family and friends for as long as I can remember. I also had about two years of experience with dealing with my senior dog, Ella, on multiple medications, supplements, and a special die. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is relatively flexible as long as it fits within my availability. I am more than happy to get up early or stay up late to visit a pet, and most weekends I am free all day. I thoroughly listen to and follow through with the instructions of every client and make sure to respect their wishes while simultaneously ensuring that the dog or cat is taken care of in the healthiest and most reassuring way to the pet owners.
About: It may come as a surprise that I’ve never had a pet growing up, but that hasn’t stopped my love for animals. One thing I love about pet care is that each pet has there own personality. I’ve cared for lazy dogs, hyper dogs, mean dogs, social dogs, cats who believe we work for them and the cats who insist they’re dogs. I’ve definitely seen it all. One thing I’ve learned about pet care is that you must gain trust. Each dog has their own specific, unique needs that must be met. Whether it falls down to a few more bathroom breaks throughout the day or extra tender love and care, all needs will be met with your pet in my care. As far as tangible experience, I’ve accumulated years of experience working and volunteering at several clinics and hospitals. This has afforded me the opportunities to gain experience with medical care as well. I am a huge advocate for fitness and exercise for myself and pet, so I can guarantee your pet will get lots of exercise with me.

About: I'm a third-year veterinary student at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and have worked with animals professionally for several years through both veterinary medicine and pet care. Before veterinary school, I worked as a veterinary assistant, where I helped care for hospitalized patients, assisted with treatments, and supported pets with a variety of medical needs. I've administered medications including oral medications, eye and ear medications, and topical treatments, as well as assisted with treatments such as subcutaneous fluids under veterinary supervision. That experience has made me comfortable caring for pets who need extra attention, whether that's giving medications, monitoring changes in appetite or behavior, helping senior pets stay comfortable, or noticing when something seems different from their normal. Outside of the clinic, I've provided dog walking and in-home pet sitting for dogs and cats with many different personalities and needs. Some pets need plenty of exercise and activity, while others are happiest with a calm visit, their normal routine, and some extra attention. Whether your pet needs medication support, senior care, or simply someone dependable while you're away, I bring professional animal experience and veterinary training to every visit. My veterinary school schedule varies throughout the semester, but it is planned well in advance. I keep my Rover calendar updated so my availability is always accurate. In general, I am available for early morning visits before class, evening visits after class, and most weekends. I also have additional weekday availability depending on my class schedule. If you're planning ahead for a trip, vacation, or recurring visits, send me your dates and location and I'll let you know what I can accommodate. My veterinary training has taught me to pay attention to the small changes that can matter with pets, like when a normally social dog seems withdrawn or a cat's eating habits suddenly change. If something unexpected happens, I stay calm, gather information, communicate clearly, and help determine what needs to happen next. As a VMCVM student, I'm familiar with local veterinary resources and emergency care options in the area. For walks, I take safety seriously. I check collars, harnesses, and leashes before heading out, avoid off-leash situations outside of secure fenced areas, and adjust activity based on weather, temperature, and your pet's comfort level. During summers, that also means being mindful of hot pavement and heat exposure. When caring for your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would expect from someone entering my own home. I follow your instructions, secure doors and gates after visits, bring in packages or mail if requested, and leave your home the way you expect it to be.
About: I have worked at a humane society shelter as a volunteer for years in Michigan. I have fostered animals as well as helped dogs and cats give birth. I have experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets. I believe pets are our children. I have open flexibility and can give many references on how trust worthy i am as i owned a cleaning business here in nrv for 10 plus years licensed and insured. While at a clients home I will make sure the home stays cleaned up from the pet and goes on its normal scheduled walks and or care. While the pet is at my home it will have its own personal area that is kept well and it won't interact with our cats. Walks and playtime will be included.

About: I am an avid animal lover. So when friends, family, and friends of friends have looked for pet sitters they come to me! I am available for boarding all day on the weekends or during the week if your pets are low-needs during the day! I have a private 3+ acre yard with a kenneled in area if needed. I have crates for my dogs and more than happy to crate yours if needed. I am willing to accommodate most needs/request as long as you are willing to communicate!

I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities and I pride myself on being extremely attentive, reliable, and detail oriented with every pet. I have experience handling multiple dogs at once including caring for up to five dogs for 7+ days, so I’m very comfortable with both longer stays in higher-energy households. I’m very attentive and make sure pets are always supervised and cared for based on their specific needs and routines. I also keep owners updated regularly so you always know how your pet is doing.
“We had a great experience with Emily. We left our puppy with her for 2 nights. She updated us daily with photos. It seemed like our puppy was having a lot of fun with the other dogs which was reassuring. Emily was very accommodating with our drop off and pick up times and communicated with us appropriately. We got our puppy back in good shape and we would definitely trust Emily to take care of our dogs in the future”

“Maribel was great with the dogs. Their facilities are clean and comfortable. They have great places to walk and play with the dogs. I would definitely board with them again.”
