About: Hello! My name is Hayley and I am an animal lover of all kinds. I had a chihuahua for 14.5 years until I had to say goodbye to him in august of 2024. Since then I have found joy in helping others take care of their furry family members. My Pedro was special needs so I am comfortable giving meds or helping with disabled animals as well. I promise to take care of your babies just like they are my own! Same day bookings and short notice bookings will be dependent on my full time work schedule as I work 3 twelve hour night shifts a week but please always reach out as I may be available! I am a full time night shift nurse so my schedule is crazy but allows me to spend the days with your pet. I am also able to get several days in a row off and spend 24/7 with your pet, if scheduled within enough time! If selected, I would treat your baby as if they are my own and would go above abd beyond in caring for them. I am unable to bring pets to my home but am more than happy to care for them in the comfort of their own homes.

“Allison stayed at my house with my 9 month old puppy while I had knee replacement surgery and 10 days in rehab. She was awesome and Piper was very comfortable with her. She was a God send as I didn't have to worry about Piper while recuperating from surgery. She sent pictures for me to see Piper. I would highly recommend her and will use her again when going out of town. She was wonderful to work with.”

About: It may come as a surprise that I’ve never had a pet growing up, but that hasn’t stopped my love for animals. One thing I love about pet care is that each pet has there own personality. I’ve cared for lazy dogs, hyper dogs, mean dogs, social dogs, cats who believe we work for them and the cats who insist they’re dogs. I’ve definitely seen it all. One thing I’ve learned about pet care is that you must gain trust. Each dog has their own specific, unique needs that must be met. Whether it falls down to a few more bathroom breaks throughout the day or extra tender love and care, all needs will be met with your pet in my care. As far as tangible experience, I’ve accumulated years of experience working and volunteering at several clinics and hospitals. This has afforded me the opportunities to gain experience with medical care as well. I am a huge advocate for fitness and exercise for myself and pet, so I can guarantee your pet will get lots of exercise with me.

She texted with pictures often, I left home for a much needed few days away without a worry at all. HIGHLY recommend and feel sure we'll want Nancye to pet/house sit for us again--SOON!”

This is not where I wanted to be – having to let a stranger watch my home and dog, handing over the keys and saying prayers. Instead, I said a prayer first, and I landed on the smiling face of Deann. She was an angel! Confident, prepared, kind, experienced, the list of good qualities goes on and on. I immediately felt at ease and our dog took to her as soon as she walked in our door for our introduction. Deann took pictures, communicated, and provided text updates at least once a day and I stopped worrying. That’s maybe the best compliment I can post here – I stopped worrying and had a great time on our trip because Deann had it completely under control.”

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and have been tasked with taking care of others dogs as well. I would love to take your dogs on walks, play fetch in the backyard, or just lounge around all day. I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t like and am not afraid to deal with any messes if needed. I will be here over the summer and have no other obligations so if your animal needs someone there full time I would be happy to hang out with them! I care for pets by providing a comfortable and loving environment for your pet while you’re gone. I am more than willing to do whatever it takes to make your pet feel like it’s just another day at home! I understand some pets may not react well to strangers initially, but I am extremely patient and will work with your pet to reach a trusting relationship.

About: I am a graduate student located in Blacksburg studying Counselor Education. This past summer I even got to take the Animal Assisted Counseling course and learn all about animal wellbeing in my profession! I have always had dogs and cat in my house growing up, and I have years of informal experience walking, feeding, and taking care of pets overnight. I am always a go to pet sitter for family and friends that are out of town because I always follow their directions as well as treat their home and pet with respect. I also have over a year of hands on volunteer experience at the People For Pets Foundation no kill cat cat shelter in Jeffersonton, VA. I am super flexible all summer! I am a server and work six hours shifts at the maximum. I am happy to serve you and your pets with temporary support or long-term weekly services! I can provide overnight support as well. A pet is like another member of the family, and I have always been taught to treat your family with respect and love them unconditionally. Being with animals is my absolute favorite thing in the world, and you can trust that your pet’s well being will always be my number one priority.

About: While most of my experience is with cats, I am also comfortable caring for small to medium dogs and following clear routines and care instructions. I have volunteered as a dog walker with a local adoption agency in Northern Virginia, helping socialize dogs and prepare them for adoption events. I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide morning, midday, and evening care. I prioritize maintaining your pet's established routine and can accommodate overnight stays or drop-in visits throughout the week. I care for pets in their own home to maintain comfort and minimize stress. I follow established routines closely and will keep all spaces clean. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel relieved and confident that their pets are happy and healthy. I make sure to include as much playtime as well as care time as much as possible.
