I am looking for some additional income and would love to help take care of your fur baby while you are away on vacation or at work. While I do not have a lot of experience pet sitting, I have had pets my entire life and am currently a pet mom to my cat, Malachi. I am always the one that my friends/family go to if they need a pet sitter or help with their pets. I make sure your pet is fed and taken care of, but I would also love to spend time with your pet so they are not lonely while you are away.

About: I’ve cared for cats, dogs, and chickens my whole life and currently share my home with three cats, so multi-pet households and juggling different feeding routines are second nature to me. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies and kittens to anxious or reactive pets who need a calm, patient presence and a little extra trust-building. I also volunteer at my local animal nonprofit so caring for animals is a real part of my life. Whether it’s house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walks, I follow your pet’s routine closely and send photo updates so you can relax while you’re away. I work a standard 9–5 on weekdays, so I’m available for morning, evening, and overnight visits during the week, plus weekends. There could be exceptions that come up, but I’ll always confirm timing in advance and stick closely to your pet’s usual feeding and walk schedule. Since I care for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow your instructions to the letter. I keep doors and gates secured, always leash dogs before heading out, and stay alert to each pet’s comfort and body language. I lock up when I leave and send photo updates so you know everyone’s safe and happy.

About: I socialized and walked shelter dogs for 5 years, fostered kittens for 3 years, and fostered squirrels for 2 years. From childhood, I was an animal rescuer, domestic and wildlife. I’ve had my dog 9 years and have had many wonderful cats, a rabbit and a bearded dragon. I offer care for any animal species. I have a very flexible schedule with most hours available. I can visit up to 3 times per day, and most likely stay as long as you’d like. I can also do up to 3 walks per day also. I can probably arrange to keep your dog-walking and pet-feeding schedules. I closely follow your directions, and let shy and fearful animals choose when to interact. I clean any messes asap, ensure clean water is available, and give your pet as much attention (play, pets, talking, walking, love) as they want for the time we schedule. At my home, pets may roam inside where they desire. Outside, dogs will be leashed. I can separate your and my dog if helpful. My gentle dog isn’t interested in cats. He has peacefully shared me and our home with 4 cats, 3 dogs, and and a bearded dragon.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats around me for most of my life, from growing-up on a farm in Maryland to working large animal husbandry at the Virginia Tech Veterinary School to sharing a 1-bedroom studio with two cats in Roanoke City, and I’ve always loved all animals. All! Right now, I have one dog and three cats of my own, and they are very much part of my family. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats with different personalities and needs. I enjoy walks, playtime, and just hanging out with them and giving them attention. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets when you’re away, and I’ll care for yours just like I care for my own. I’m currently in the process of my Pet-CPR/First Aid certification. I’m working a flexible schedule (as a Referee). When I’m at work, Nalini (my wife), will be there at home with your pet. So, your pet would never be there alone day or night. The most respect, care, compassion, and hugs!! There’s separate pet living spaces in my house for accommodating your pets needs, and we have a friendly and vaccinated dog.
