About: I've been a pet owner and I currently help my 5 adult kids with all their fur babies. Currently I live with my daughters 10 yr old great Dane named Lincoln. But when I'm in North Tacoma I help with a 13 yr old Australian Shepard named Dot. 3 yr old Corgi named kenzo. 9 yr old terrier named Kona. 1yr old terrier named Mocha. I am a full time grandma of a granddaughter who'll be 2 in Nov 18th. I will and can do house sitting during the week but it had to include allowing me to bring my granddaughter. She's great with dogs and cats. The whole family has them in various breeds and sizes. Otherwise I am available for weekends Fridays Saturdays Sundays possibly Monday if there's no school. My daughter is a elementary teacher so I was available all summer but now that she's back to work I have limited house sitting days but still open for pet check ins. I am detail oriented. Military brat and former US ARMY vet. So I like a schedule and instructions to follow. It's your fur child so I'm here to help you in anyway I can
About: Hi! I’m a dedicated pet sitter who understands that every dog has unique needs, energy levels, and routines, and I take that seriously. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs since my teens, with experience across small and large breeds, senior dogs, and pets who require medication. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with more complex needs, including epilepsy, and I prioritize calm, attentive handling to keep them safe and supported. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “watch” dogs, I focus on structured, engaging care that helps them feel balanced and happy while you’re away, whether it’s walks tailored to their energy level, mental enrichment and engagement during visits, consistent routines to support behavior, or lots of affection and attention. I’m very active and love being outdoors, so I’m happy to include longer walks, hikes, or more engaging outings if that’s something your dog enjoys. **Before sending a request:** I’d love for you to take a quick look through my full profile so you have a good idea of my services, schedule, and approach to pet care. This helps make sure we’re a good fit before setting up a meet & greet! 😊 Since I work a full time job from home, I have a flexible schedule and am willing and able to give your pet the attention it needs throughout the day. Routine comes easy for me, and my work schedule makes it easy to adapt to whatever you need for your pet. I can also send regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel completely at ease. I treat every pet like my own (I have 3 dogs!), with patience, attentiveness, and genuine care. I’d love to connect and see if I'd be a good fit for you and your pet! **House Sitting Info:** I’m happy to provide house sitting with daytime care and spend as much time as needed with your pets throughout the day, including extended visits and multiple days in a row. My standard house sitting schedule does not include overnight stays, but I occasionally make exceptions on a case by case basis when the circumstances are a good fit. I’ll discuss this with you during the meet & greet and consider factors such as your pets’ needs and schedule, the distance from my home, and my family’s schedule at the time of the booking. If I’m not staying overnight, I’ll typically spend the day with your pets and head home around 9:30–10 PM, returning around 7 AM the following morning. I’m happy to spend as much time as needed during the day to provide plenty of quality time, attention, and care while you’re away, and I’ll work with you to create a routine that keeps your pets comfortable and your home well cared for!
“Vivian was so great with our border collie. She has a past injury to her trachea so walking can be difficult for her, she was so patient with her and took her time. I definitely recommend her!”

“Maureen is Absolutely fabulous! My dog absolutely loves her, and it’s easy to see why. She’s dependable, caring, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She also takes the most amazing pictures, which is such a thoughtful bonus and always makes my day. She is worth every penny, and I feel completely comfortable knowing my dog is in such great hands. I highly recommend her!”

“Our doggie loves his walks with Sarah! He recognizes her car, and actually watches for her when he thinks the time is right. She's punctual and friendly, and an obvious dog lover.”

About: I have three years of professional pet care experience, giving me a deep understanding of how to keep dogs and cats safe, happy, and completely comfortable while their owners are away. Over the years, I have worked with a wide variety of animals with different personalities, energy levels, and temperaments, which has taught me how to adapt quickly to whatever a pet needs. Whether I am managing precise daily feeding routines, keeping high-energy dogs active and engaged through structured playtime, or providing quiet, gentle companionship for older pets, I approach every interaction by treating them as if they were my own. I always stay attentive to animal body language and behavior so I can catch any subtle shifts in mood or appetite, ensuring they stay content and secure from start to finish. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work part-time right in the heart of Battle Ground and balance it with a flexible college schedule. This setup gives me plenty of open time throughout the week and on weekends to dedicate undivided attention, care, and playtime to pets. Additionally, caring for five of my own cats at home means feline care and daily routines are already second nature to me, allowing me to easily adapt my schedule to meet any pet's specific needs. When caring for pets in either my home or a client home, my approach focuses on creating a secure, calm, and deeply comforting environment tailored to their exact needs. In my own home, we have two wonderful dogs, a beagle hound mix and an Anatolian shepherd, alongside five cats, meaning I am exceptionally experienced in managing multi pet dynamics, diverse temperaments, and varying energy levels. Whether I am caring for high energy kittens, elderly cats requiring medication and specialized feeding routines, or dogs needing a watchful eye, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I stay deeply attentive to their behavior and body language, ensuring they feel completely safe and secure while their owners are away.
About: I've been an animal lover my whole life. I have taken care of all types of animals. Friends and neighbors have always trusted me to take care of their animals, starting at a young age. I have taken in strays, rescued several dogs from shelters. I also volunteered for an animal rescue for several years and have fostered animals from time to time. I am the person who finds the pets at an event and stays with them the whole time. I have experience with dogs, cats including puppies and kittens, seniors, and animals with medical needs. I currently work only about 5-8 hours a week and have plenty of time to cuddle and walk your pets. Spending time with animals is my favorite thing to do. I will walk your dog twice a day, and can also take your pets on drives (with my pet seatbelt and/or car seat) if that's something you would like. Daily belly rubs are always included :) I have a fenced back yard. Pets are welcome to all areas of my home and always allowed on the couches and bed. I also have a comfortable dog car seat for dogs under 50 lbs as well as a collar/harness seatbelt restraint for larger dogs. I will take up to 3 dogs at a time, if your dog loves to be social (My home is two-story, with multiple dog gates should your dog need a break also). If your dog prefers to be the only animal around, please let me know and I'll let you know if I can arrange that.
“Lyla was awesome and was able to book on short notice! I am recovering from surgery and needed someone to give my dogs some exercise and she was just the right fit. Will definitely be booking again!!”

“Jocelyn is prompt, friendly, reliable, and our pup loves going on walks with her. I feel like I can very safely trust my dog in her care, which means everything. Highly recommend!”

“Cassandra is absolutely fantastic! She is reliable, caring, and clearly loves working with dogs. My pups always come back happy and tired from their walks. I feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I have always had a dog since I was a kid, when I was a teenager I used to walk dogs around my neighborhood. I also volunteered for an animal rescue. Now, I work for an animal urgent care and have experience with both dogs and cats, as well as own my own dog and cat. I'm currently working full time, so for boarding your pet may be alone while I'm at work unless they are kennel trained they can go to work with me. I will be taking them on walks before and after work. I work 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I have one dog who is young and loves to play all day! I can kennel your pet if needed, as well as my own. I have fenced land for the dogs to run and play.
About: I have always been a lover of animals and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I have previously worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for 5 years, in both small and large animal practices. I have also had many of my own animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys and alpacas. Animals have always been a central part of my life. Due to my previous work as a licensed vet tech I am comfortable with administering medications or handling special care your animal may need. I have experience in caring for animals of all ages, including senior animals. Thank you for your time, I look forward to meeting and caring for your pets! I am currently a stay at home mom which allows me to have a very flexible schedule. I am available to do most early mornings, afternoons, as well as evenings. I have been pet sitting off and on for the past 15 years. I try my best to match the routine your pets are accustomed to while they are in my care. I am also a very detail oriented person and make sure to keep things neat during my visits.
About: Hi, I’m Eli (they/them) and I’m an animal lover with over 11 years of experience caring for dogs and cats! I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own while you’re away. Animals have brought so much joy to my life, and I’m passionate about giving them the love, attention, and playtime they deserve. I have seven years of experience on Rover and regularly volunteer at a cat shelter. I grew up with dogs and have a sweet kitty of my own, Edgar. I'm available for drop-in visits and dog walking. Thank you for considering me, and I look forward to hearing from you! Schedule - I work full-time as a florist! I can provide drop-in visits and dog walks before and after work. Generally, I'm available 9am-11am and 6-9pm, depending on the day. I'm off on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and I volunteer 5-7pm on Thursdays. Let me know your ideal care schedule and we can work out something that is best for both of us! I will make sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away. About: Hi! I’m Emma :) I’m experienced in taking care of a wide variety of pets from a highly reactive Akita to newborn kittens. I also have limited experience with lizards and I’m always ready to learn how to take care of new pets with special needs! My favorite days are when I get to go on hikes, but if your pet lives a less active lifestyle I also enjoy a rest day on the couch. I work in the medical field with a consistent schedule, so my availability stays consistent. I try to match my daily routine on my days off, so your pets’ routine will be very consistent throughout my caring for them. When I care for dogs, I like to spend lots of time playing outside, going on walks or hikes. However, the way I care for your pet will be heavily guided by their individual needs and your usual routine. Being away from their owner can be stressful for your pet, so I strive to keep their daily routine as consistent as possible to make the experience better for them.

Rylee is fantastic. I can’t recommend Rylee highly enough. She walked my dog, and he absolutely lights up when he sees her — tail wagging, full-body wiggles, the whole package. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and dogs pick up on that instantly. Rylee is reliable, communicative, and always goes the extra mile. She paid close attention to his needs and quirks, and treated him like her own. It’s one thing to have a dog walker — it’s another to have someone you trust completely with your four-legged family member. That’s Rylee. If you’re looking for someone who is caring, professional, and genuinely exceptional at what she does, look no further. I was lucky to meet her, and anyone who hires her will be too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
