“Kristina did a great job housesitting our elderly dog and three cats. She took care of our dog’s special needs and administered medication, sent timely updates and communicated clearly. Kristina even navigated a couple of unexpected issues with our house (a smart lock malfunction and a sprinkler system leak). We’d definitely have her back — hopefully she’ll have an easier stay next time..!”
“Heather was amazing. She was able to care for our difficult older cat like a pro. Our cat required two medications twice a day, including an injection, and our cat doesn't do well with stranger but she did great with Heather. Heather let us know everytime when she completed the shot which really put our minds at ease. We ended up book her again for two more trips these coming months.”

“Thank you so much for caring for Pliny. You went above and beyond. Thanks for walking her and playing with her, and helping her feel comfy while we were gone. And the special gift of framed pics was really sweet!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Jaime! She watched our fur baby Loki for a couple of nights and did an amazing job. She kept us updated with pictures and messages, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. Loki absolutely loved her, and it was clear she treated him like one of her own. We’ll definitely be booking with Jaime again — highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter! 🐾💛”

About: I’ve been around dogs and often took care of my families dogs since I was 15, I’ve taken care of all sized dogs including a small poodle to huskies and leaving their owners with a more than satisfied service! I’m currently working part time with my schedule changing every week but it doesn’t take away my availability to dog sit since I’m usually only gone for 4 hours a day. I have a big back yard for your dog to run around as well as a car with plenty of room for both big and small dogs, giving me the ability to take them to parks or appointments. I will give them much attention by giving them all they need both physically and mentally; playing, feeding, loving, and keeping them safe!
“This is my second time booking with Bri and would definitely love her to watch our babies again. She took great care of them while we were away for the weekend. The puppies and kitty were healthy and happy upon return.”

“Sumaira took great care of our pup; she was happy and healthy when we got home. She even shared photos with us of our girl on her walks and enjoying spending time with Sumaira at home. The house was neat as a pin. I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“Maya was very responsive and reliable during the initial search process and the house sitting time. She stayed with Doug for 2 nights/3 days. She sent us a picture update during her time with Doug, and communicated at various points to check in. We will be using Maya’s services again soon!”

“Yumi is truly exceptional. From the moment we connected, I knew Chai would be in the best hands—and she absolutely was. This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Chai, so I was understandably nervous. But Yumi made the entire experience seamless, thoughtful, and full of care. She went out of her way to visit the day before, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to understand every little detail about Chai’s needs and routines. What stood out the most was the genuine love she showed Chai—treating her with the same care and affection as if she were her own. Her updates were not just helpful—they were full of warmth, with detailed notes and the sweetest photos that made me feel completely at ease. She cared for my home just as attentively, and when she left, Chai genuinely missed her, something that has never happened before. Yumi is one of those rare people you can fully trust with what matters most. I can’t recommend her enough—11/10, would book again in a heartbeat.”
“Rose was great. She took fantastic care of Frosty. She sent us lots of pictures and asked a lot of questions to make sure everything was right. She also took great care of our house and garden. We would definitely use Rose again”

“Becky was very responsive and communicative each day while we were away. She sent pictures and took very good care of our two dogs. We would highly recommend her and definitely request her again on our next trip away.”

“Erika is professional, kind, responsible, and kept me updated on my pup while I was away. I had her stay at my home while I was away. She was clean and organized and make sure to send me pictures of my little guy. She was excellent and I highly recommend.”

“Hannah is just wonderful! She is reliable and provides such attentive care for my mini Goldendoodle! Raja enjoys all the walks, play time, and cuddles! We appreciate the regular updates on Raja throughout the day. I highly recommend Hannah!!”

About: I have 2 dogs that are the absolute loves of my life. I’ve had dogs my whole life and always watch friends dogs and provide exceptional care! What can I say, I like dogs more than people!! I have a flexible work from home schedule and a large flat fenced yard. I love to take dogs for hikes and walks and provide food, pets and care as needed! I am very attuned and aware of dogs. If something seems off, I will take immediate action. I ensure food and treat schedules are adhered to and overall will just love and cuddle and pet and walk your dog! I’m super kind and believe dogs are the kindest souls on earth.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chemeketa Park
Heather was amazing. I could not ask for anyone better. Before I left, my cat became sick. Not only did she tale excellent care of my two active dogs, she nursed my sick, elderly cat. Taking the time to administer her meds. She had the patience to feed my cat often. My dogs loved her. Heather made sure they had exercise. She played with them. Cuddled them. I could tell by all the updates sent, they had a great time. I was very anxious to leave on vacation. Almost canceled my trip. Happy I didn’t. Became clear to me that my pets were left in very capable hands. Will use Heather again.

Annabelle did an amazing job watching our girls, as always! She sent tons of pictures, had great communication, and she even took our dogs on a few field trips to the coffee shop and to her house to play with her dogs. We were able to completely relax on our 2 week vacation knowing they were in good hands ❤️

Bex was awesome! She took care of my sick bulldog while i was away and kept me informed everyday on his condition. She even took him to the vet for me so he didn’t miss an appointment to be checked. I will happily request Bex to watch my fur babies again. Thank you, Bex!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Chemeketa Park on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,517 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Chemeketa Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chemeketa Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chemeketa Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chemeketa Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chemeketa Park. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
