About: I have supported my wife in watching animals on Rover but recently took the jump to make my own profile on Rover! I have professionally cared for dogs on Rover since 2017. From pet boarding in our home to house sitting in the homes of others, I have professionally cared for pups of all ages- from puppies to senior dogs. My wife and I have two goldendoodles (8 and 6 years old). Growing up, my family has fostered many dogs and so I have experience with various breeds and pups with special needs. Currently I am taking classes to further my education and work a flexible schedule professionally reffing soccer games which are usually one to two hours in length. I live an active lifestyle but also love to have relaxing days depending on your dog’s needs. I understand how much trust goes into having someone else care for your furbaby let alone opening up your own home. I treat the home I come into with respect and follow any rules and cultural considerations for any homes I enter. I respect rules set by you and my main priority is to keep the dog(s) I am watching on their normal schedule until their humans are back home!

“Zhi is phenomenal ! She took care of our two dogs for a week at our home. They enjoyed time with her spoiling them with treats and plenty of attention. Our older dog requires a little more care and Zhi did just that. She was so kind and caring to him, he truly loved her attention. Our younger dog has separation anxiety, Zhi was very attentive to him. He loved the walks she took him on. He loved her so much that when she left for a bit his howling made my neighbors worried lol. All in all, Zhi is an exemplar dog sitter. How she cared for our doggies and kept our home clean and tidy was well beyond expectation. Thank you Zhi ! Ollie misses you already.”

On top of everything, she handled deliveries, collected mail, looked after our plants, and left our home in a pristine condition. Niva was truly a godsend. We were nervous about finding someone to stay in our home for a week that not only we could trust, but that our sweet, but anxious and stranger-averse, rescue dog would let past her tough shell and get along with. I was stunned when our dog almost immediately warmed up to Sophia during our meet and greet (that never happens), and not only did she get along with Sophia, she clearly bonded with her and missed her after we returned from our trip. Sophia took great care of our home, treated our pup with so much love, provided much appreciated updates with photos and videos, communicated proactively and timely, took our dog on multiple walks a day (even though it rained most days, she bought a doggy raincoat!), and was gracious and flexible about trip date adjustments and meet/greet times.
