“Malika was an amazing cat sitter for Gigi! Gigi is very shy and cautious around new people, but Malika was very patient and knew how to help her feel comfortable. Gigi is also a 16 year old senior cat with a more specific feeding routine, and Malika followed everything carefully. She sent regular updates a few times a day which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Malika was communicative and very knowledgeable about cats. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!”

About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. I like to take pictures and/or videos for you so you can get your daily dose of your pet!
About: Cats have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've spent years watching cats for friends and family, from easygoing lap cats to the shy ones who take a while to trust anyone new. I know cats aren't all the same, some want attention right away, others need space and time, and I pay attention to what each individual cat actually wants rather than treating them all the same way. “I wasn't sure how my cats would do with someone they didn't know, but any concerns disappeared when Nicole came by prior to my pet sitting needs in order to meet the cats and get the run down on what the cats would need while I was away on business. Zigs, in particular, is generally weary of new people, but she warmed up to Nicole pretty much straight away, and it wasn't long after that Cheddars was also looking for scritches. To say it was a huge relief to have Nicole look after my fur babies while I was away for nearly a week is an understatement. I have a couple of cat cams so I can look in on them when I'm away, and the history of what was recorded is available for me to check. When I checked in each day, I saw Nicole sitting on the floor playing with and giving scritches to both cats. At one point, Zigs was even following her! When I returned home, both cats were calm and relaxed. They got their nasty canned food every day, fresh water, and all three litter boxes cleaned. They were clearly well cared for while I was away, above and beyond just feeding them and cleaning litter boxes. I will 100% check Nicole's availability anytime I need to have my fur babies looked after and spoiled!”

“This was my first time having Nicole as my pet-sitter/house-sitter for my two cats, and she went above and beyond! She checked in several times before my departure date to confirm the care instructions and was very communicative with photos and updates while I was away. My apartment had an AC malfunction that occurred during the stay in the midst of a heat wave, and Nicole updated me frequently to let me know the cats were doing ok and being kept cool indoors. She even went out of her way to speak with the maintenance person I had sent to inspect the unit, and sent me detailed information on their assessment and the estimate for the repairs! This was the longest and farthest I’ve been away from home in a while, and the first time I’ve had a house-sitter for my cats, and Nicole’s friendliness and flexibility put me at ease. “Sumaira is always on time and I know I can count on her to take good care of my fur babies. While walking my Siberian Husky another dog that was unleased attacked my dog. Sumaira safely got my girl home and check her out from head to toe. She promptly notified me that the husky was attacked, however alright. Sumaira let me know there was a little blood on her ear, however she did not appear to be injured. I myself have had another dog attack us when we were walking. Sumaira did the responsible thing and notified me and ensured my girl was alright. In this type of situation that is best can be accomplished and despite this incident I will ask Sumaira to walk her again.”

Since then, I have been recommended by many close friends of my family and I'm excited to branch out further into the Bay Area ! I have cared for pets of all ages, including several senior animals that I still regularly work with. Along with dogs and cats, I also have some experience with reptile care ! A lot of the clients I've worked with know me for my calm disposition when it comes to animals, so even the most anxious pets will feel safe in my care !! I am currently working at home working as a self-employed artist, so I should be available to care for your pets most days of the week! For walks and drop-ins I am available from 9am-4pm during the weekdays, and full time during weekends! Pets are a part of the family just as much as everyone else, so I like to treat them with the same courtesy! Since I mostly work on my laptop, I usually stick to staying home when I petsit, so your pets will have my company as much as possible! If your pet is more on the active side I will do my absolute best to fulfill their needs--I may not the most active person but I am no stranger to long walks and park playdates :) !

In my well-traveled journey, I have gained working vet tech experience, knowledge, and wisdom that spans over 30 years. My family and I founded a sanctuary for animals in Washington State that the SPCA recognized. We rescued, rehabilitated, trained, and provided education classes for the care and proper nutrition of all creatures, great and small. About: What can I say, I am an absolute animal lover! and I am sure your dog would have a great time with me! I have had animals my whole life and love to shower them with care and affection! I am local teacher with a lot of extra time on my hands for the summer. I love to go on long hikes and adventures or just hangout in my grassy fenced in backyard. Whatever your pet desires, I can make it happen! I live alone but do share my yard with two cats. Not only do I have years of owning my own pets, I also have years of experience volunteering at animal shelters. Working there I have learned some behavioral training techniques, though I am not fully a professional trainer. I am a full time teacher with summers off. I am single with no kids. I have availability in the mornings & afternoons and full availability in the summer. I have a fenced in yard and a pet friendly environment inside my house with no other pets. When at other houses I treat them with care and respect.

While I had him I was always looking for a family that could board him while I was out traveling or visiting family. It's time for me to return the favor to other dog families who need that support and help. I live near Sunnyvale downtown in a single family home with a large lot and know the neighborhood well. We offer a calm, home environment — not a kennel — where dogs get personalized care and lots of love. I send regular photo updates so you always know how your pup is doing. As dog owner myself, I understand what pet parents look for — reliability, communication, and genuine love for animals. Your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles during their stay with me. I will be happy to board your babies and take care of them while you are gone. Give me a few days of notice so I can plan my work schedule and travel plans accordingly. For longer stays, please give me a few weeks notice. I work from home, so your dog is never left alone for long. They'll have company throughout the day, regular outdoor breaks, and plenty of attention. My schedule is flexible, which means I can give dogs the time and attention they deserve — regular walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day rather than just morning and evening. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine since we have had our own dog at home.
