“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

This was Teo’s first stay outside the care of a family member, but from our very first meeting in Yoona and Minjae’s clean, welcoming home, I felt completely at ease knowing he would be in the best hands. Teo was comfortable with them right away, and the photos and videos they shared throughout his stay showed just how happy he was - enjoying plenty of walks, enrichment, and feeling truly included as part of their pack. It was clear that Teo received so much love and attention; he was affectionate with Yoona and Minjae and was genuinely treated like a member of their family. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling. The entire process was seamless, and Teo was calm and confident being left in their care. About: Many years ago I worked as a vet tech. I have been involved withwildlife and pet rescue literally all my life. I have successfully raised a few well-mannered, helpful and obedient dogs. My pups always have chores (ie: retrieving the newspaper, carrying in groceries, helping with yard work). I do my best to keep everything consistent for your fur babies. I try to keep to your normal routine and use your terminology and commands. Everyone so far has been pretty consistent ("sit, stay, off, leave it, release, etc) so I haven't needed to change up my vocabulary much. If you have multiple pets please ask me about adjusting the rates for each additional pet over 3. I can usually make adjustments. I am retired, therefore, able to devote all of my time to the pets and home that I am caring for. I love to garden so pulling weeds makes me happy. Lately, I have been making terreriums so you could come home to a needless yard and a jar full of plants. If you have a junk drawer or closer you'd like organized, leave me a list. Much more fun to organize your junk drawer than mine! I do my best to keep anxiety to a minimum and fun to the max. I want your pets to associate your suitcase with a fun time with me vs missing you. No matter how much fun I give them, they will still be overjoyed when you return. As it should be!

Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. When they met, my dog, Hanoi, was pretty nervous, barking defensively for some reason, but Mamoo handled it to perfection, allowing Hanoi to control the interaction, without Mamoo losing the role of authority. “Sumaira is always on time and I know I can count on her to take good care of my fur babies. While walking my Siberian Husky another dog that was unleased attacked my dog. Sumaira safely got my girl home and check her out from head to toe. She promptly notified me that the husky was attacked, however alright. Sumaira let me know there was a little blood on her ear, however she did not appear to be injured. I myself have had another dog attack us when we were walking. Sumaira did the responsible thing and notified me and ensured my girl was alright. In this type of situation that is best can be accomplished and despite this incident I will ask Sumaira to walk her again.”

About: I have never personally owned a cat, but i loved watching my friends cats when it was needed or my neighbors cats! I feel as though me and cats have a special bond, because you can’t force a cat to love you which is why i am patient and accepting of the animal rather than trying to be obsessive and upsetting the cat. With that being said when i was cat sitting, i would typically try to make them stay active by playing with them or taking them on walks. I also had to give the cats medicine by putting an ointment in their ear or smashing it up in their food. I am a college student, with a very flexible schedule unavailable on mondays and wednesdays but free after 1 pm on tuesday’s and thursdays and friday’s and weekends are completely free! Obviously keeping an eye on the dog is very important, but also remembering to take them outside to use the bathroom frequently. To keep them active i would take them on nice walks outside or i would play with them with their toys that they have already.

I have owned small dogs, large dogs, a cat, aquatic pets, and taken care of many of my friends', family members' pets and been referred to many to care for their dogs and cats. In my last relationship I took full responsibility for three large dogs, one which was a rescue adopted as a puppy, (feeding, administering medications, training, exercise, bathing, grooming, vet visits) for about 5 years. I am currently working part-time and taking a break from school while I prepare to apply to a health profession program. This gives me a very open and flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and overnight care. Because of my flexible availability, I can devote plenty of time and attention to your pet, ensuring they stay on their normal routine with regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and lots of love and companionship. I look forward to working with you and providing your pet with the compassionate, dependable care they deserve while you're away! I provide loving, reliable pet care in your home using your pet's own supplies to help keep their routine as normal as possible. I use the food, treats, toys, bedding, leashes, litter, medications, and any other pet essentials you provide, so I don't bring my own pet supplies. This helps your pet stay comfortable in their familiar environment while you're away. I live in a quiet, small neighborhood with about 0.75 acres of yard space and keep a clean, tidy home with plenty of room for pets to roam and relax. If boarding or daycare is arranged at my home, I will use any pet supplies you provide to maintain your pet's routine and comfort. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your pet like family, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.

About: I grew up with many dogs and various animals. I love dogs! I often care for my friends and families dogs when they are away. “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”
