About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, including many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve helped with everything from walks, playtime, feeding, and giving plenty of love and attention to keeping dogs comfortable and on their normal routines. About: I have expirience with animals of all ages and sizes, including farm animals, cage animals, and of course tons of experience with dogs and cats! I was raised with 3 dogs/3 cats/and other farm animals of my own, so I am equipped to care for a “furry family” of any size. I have excellent communication skills and am dedicated to following your pets daily/nightly routine. Lots of expirience with house sitting and making sure all animals are happy and healthy! Expirience with administering medication and bathing of pets :) I am a hard worker and very reliable, especially when it comes to caring for someone elses home or pets. Once booked, I can assure that I will be dedicated to keeping your animals as my number one priority. My schedule is fairly open so I can commit to 24hr stays or overnight stays :) My home has a fence around the whole property which allows for my pups to have access to both inside and outside as they please. I am comfortable with both indoor and outdoor pet environments, I can accommodate to any routine that is right for your pets.

I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before the booking. I always keep dogs leashed when out, unless you’ve specifically approved otherwise, and they’re in a secure area. I make sure gates and doors are secured, fresh water is always available, and I closely monitor pets during walks, playtime, and outdoor breaks. I treat every client’s home with respect, keep it clean, and make sure it’s in the same condition.

About: I have had the privilege of caring for puppy dogs and senior dogs, little dogs and extra large dogs, mutts and pure breeds. I've cared for puppies who are not potty trained; a Newfoundland with bad hips; a German Shorthair Pointer who loved to fetch at the beach for hours and hours; a 20 lb terrier with separation issues; high energy Spaniels who camped out in the kitchen with hopes of treats; an otherwise perfect 70lb mutt who turned out to be a muffin thief; a senior Aussie with dementia and digestive issues; my senior pup with a bad back, partially deaf and diminished vision and many more characters who have taken up residence in my heart. I am experienced administering medication, changing diapers, cleaning up poo, preparing special diets, taking long walks or short; brushing and nail trimming (dog willing); playing fetch; snuggling and petting, baking healthy homemade treats. I am available to do boarding in my home and overnight care in the client's home. The only time I am not with your pet is to run errands, rarely more than two hours at a time. Doggie Day Care rate is for 6 hours. Additional time is billed in 30 minute increments at the rate of $6 per 30 minutes. The clock starts at the earliest listed time for drop off and ends at the latest listed time for pick up. Example: Client lists a drop off time between 9am - 11am. The day care clock starts at 9am. I have a dog friendly home with a large fenced back yard. Dogs have access to the back yard at all times. For overnights the dogs sleep in their dog beds anywhere in the house that they are comfortable. Otherwise I follow the dogs regular routine. In the client's home I follow the dogs regular sleep, wake, feeding, exercise and play routine.

“Gemma housesat for me for 3 days/2 nights, watching my blind dog and senior cat. My dog requires a fair bit of attention, not only for his blindness but also for the impact of his long-term, high dose of daily prednisone. She took him on slow walks and played his special version of ball. All animals seemed happy and well-cared for when I returned. Gemma also did an amazing job of cleaning everything that she and the animals had used, including when the animals had accidents (I'm sure it was cleaner than how my husband had left it!). I would definitely hire Gemma again.”
