“Michael and wife Patti gook wonderful care of Gigi for a week. Without hesitation, I booked them for a return visit. Their house and yard is ideal-- fully-fenced front and rear, no restrictions on furniture, and a dog door (their own little dog recently passed away, sadly.) They even invited Gigi to sleep on their bed. Patti took Gigi on a couple of walks to the beach and gave lots of tummy rubs. It was clear from Gigi bouncing around their house when I returned to pick her up that she absolutely enjoyed her doggy vacation!”

About: In 2024, my beloved golden retriever passed away from cancer. Since then, I have not been ready for my own pet, but I have been wanting to slowly get back into caring and taking care of a dog. Prior to my own pet, I have dog sat for 5 years, taking care of 3 month old puppies to 6 year old corgi's. “This was our first time that we traveled without our 1.5-year-old puppy, Maple. This time, we made a big decision to trust someone else with Maple’s care. We were anxious about what sitter we might get. Fortunately, we picked an amazing sitter (Yoona & Minjae) that had cared for Maple with flying colors. Before the trip, Maple had a case of diarrhea, but Yoona & Minjae had carefully adjusted her diet and provided the right balance of exercise and rest making her much healthier and stronger than before. Buddy, Yoona & Minjae’s dog had seemed to keep her happy and emotionally settled. Yoona & Minjae was very professional, knowledgable, and diligent. From beginning to end, they kept in touch with us by updating us with photos and thoughtful responses on how she was doing. we were able to enjoy our trip completely at ease, knowing Maple was in the right hands. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old, and I'm a recent cat mom of a little under a year. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, too. I'm currently working full-time at a school, but I'm available every weekday after 4 pm and all day on the weekends to stay the night :) I will respect your space and leave it as I found it. About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. About: I only board one dog at a time so your dog will get undivided love and attention. From being terrified as a child to now falling in love with every dog - it’s been a journey. I am big on recognizing that dogs are complex beings and have complex needs. With that in mind, I think of them as more than cuddle buddies. While I’ll never say no to dog love, I also understand that they need space and room to just be. I’ve dog sat in my neighborhood and I prioritize their meals, walks, and need for activity and interaction. I have also fostered dogs and understand that dogs come from a variety of different past experiences and require environments that fit their needs - I am very flexible in accommodating that. I currently work from home so there is plenty of flexibility in my schedule. I like to understand the pet's routine and do my best to minimize disruptions - that means helping them adhere to their walk, food, and rest times. I love playing with dogs so I prioritize that time. My home is well maintained and clean, pets will have full access to the large open concept living room & kitchen - this is where I spend majority of my waking hours as well. No other pets and no kids in the house so your dog will have a lot of quiet, peaceful time. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood with lots of green spaces. Lots of opportunities to go on nice walks and socialize with other dogs. I think of dog walks as "their time" so they get ample time to explore and sniff.

“Celeste is wonderful. We had met and already agreed to a three night pet sit later in the month, and some weekend walks with Duchess so they could get better acquainted before the overnights. Then I sprained my ankle and my wife's lower back went out. Celeste on very short notice stepped up by taking Duchess for unscheduled neighborhood walks so we could rest and recover. Two walks in now and Celeste and Duchess have clearly bonded. Duchess is a totally happy love bucket who thinks every person is her friend, but she responds best to people who are naturally relaxed and comfortable around pups while being the loving person in charge. Celeste checks all those boxes. We are very happy that we have more walks and a pet sit scheduled with Celeste.”

About: I have been taking care of animals, especially dogs for around 5 years now on top of my dog Chester. I am available daytime, evenings, and weekends. I do not have a fenced yard on the property I live on in the country, so when boarding with me, dogs will be on leash when outdoors. They will enjoy the many walks they will have around here. When at your home, I take care of your fur baby and belongs with the utmost respect and safety.

“Thao was amazing! I needed a sitter at the last minute for a weekend retreat, and she made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog in her care. My dog can be a little anxious, but Thao was incredibly patient and made sure she ate, got treats, and felt at home. Even though Thao knew I didn’t have access to my phone during the weekend, she continued sending updates, photos, and videos, which were so sweet to see when I got back.
