About: Experienced dog owner and sitter. Studied dog psychology to become a good dog parent. Had two female spaniels who passed earlier this year. We used to compete in dog frisbee and hunt. Also have experience working in a grooming salon, as well as walking and boarding various size dogs - from labs and German shepherds to Jack Russel terriers and mini Aussies. Additionally at no cost I can provide basic behavioural training and teach new tricks - I love to communicate with dogs of any breed and move in one rhythm with them. And I really feel their needs and able to connect with dogs of all ages. I can board puppies and older dogs, take them for a walk someplace new and play ball or frisbee. But safety and well-being is my main focus and if your dog doesn't want too much activity, I can provide a more mellow experience, too. Available on weekdays and weekends but please make appointments at least 2 days in advance. I would love to meet your furry friend! I'm working remotely from home part-time, so have lots of time to spend with doggies. I'm available both weekends and weekdays and rarely leave home for more than a couple hours, so your dog won't be alone for too long. I have a fenced backyard and deck, and two mellow spaniels to keep your doggo company. I also have a crate where your pet can rest if needed.

Since then, I have been recommended by many close friends of my family and I'm excited to branch out further into the Bay Area ! “Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little and have loved every minute of it! Walking, feeding, bathing, giving medications, and providing additional support for solidifying training have all been things friends and family have depended on me doing for their fur babies when they want me to pet sit for them. Most importantly, however, is making sure their dogs are having a great time being played with and loved on while their humans are doing their own thing. I’m currently a full time student with only one class being in-person, so I’m home most of the time and am able to take care of and play with your pups! I can board reliably on both weekdays and weekends excluding Thursdays. My home does not have a fenced in yard, so when I take your pups out for a walk I’ll be going around the neighborhood and to the park. I allow pets on the furniture and the bed, but if you don’t at your home then I will make sure to discourage them from hopping up on the furniture here as well.

About: I've had dogs most of my adult life and currently have a little Shichon named Ruby. We have a smoke free home with a fenced yard and doggie door. We take our pup out for daily walks. I'm home full time unless I'm working in Canada in the healthcare field and so would need to work around that. I usually work 2-3 weeks every 2 months. We have a fenced yard and lots of trails around for nice long walks. We also go to the beach at least twice a week.

About: I take my dogs for runs, and I travel with her some times! I love watching after dogs and being physical! Exercise is very important! Currently I live with family and they help take care of our animals as well and take my dog and cat for walks, we live in nature so they sun bathe and frolic . I can offer going to peoples houses and that means making sure they're well fed and entertained and just really taking care of them anyway they need. I've also had an animal that had surgery so I'm familiar with giving shots and pills as well!

About: I have taken care of my dog Sami ever since we brought him home from the shelter four years ago. Throughout high school I would feed him, take him for regular walks, and bathe him when needed. Now as a college student, this responsibility continues whenever I am home for breaks. I have also cat sit multiple times for my family friends when they would go out of town. I would come over daily to their house, feed and play with the cats, and change the litter box. Right now I am a student at Cal Poly, and work a part-time in retail. Pet sitting works especially well currently during the summer as I am home and not planning on traveling much. “Celeste is wonderful. We had met and already agreed to a three night pet sit later in the month, and some weekend walks with Duchess so they could get better acquainted before the overnights. Then I sprained my ankle and my wife's lower back went out. Celeste on very short notice stepped up by taking Duchess for unscheduled neighborhood walks so we could rest and recover. Two walks in now and Celeste and Duchess have clearly bonded. Duchess is a totally happy love bucket who thinks every person is her friend, but she responds best to people who are naturally relaxed and comfortable around pups while being the loving person in charge. Celeste checks all those boxes. We are very happy that we have more walks and a pet sit scheduled with Celeste.”
