“I've never left one of our pets with someone before but Theresa was great. We did a meet and greet ahead of time and our pup Chia seemed at ease from the moment she walked in the door. I got regular updates throughout the day and it seemed like Chia had a great time. When I picked her up, she was curled up on the sofa watching squirrels.”

“Cheryl has a great setup and is a dog lover and incredible resource! We had a meet and greet prior to the day I dropped off my 4 month old puppy and I felt at ease leaving her there (her first daycare experience which could’ve been nerve wracking but I knew she’d be in great hands). My pup was tired from playing and learning from the other dogs there and slept so well after! I will be using Cheryl’s services again in the future!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was a child—I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other pets, and I truly see them as family. I have two cats, Bleu and Theodore who are my absolute world, and I treat every pet I care for with the same love, patience, and attention as I give my own. What sets me apart from other sitters is my natural connection with animals and my commitment to creating a safe, calm, and happy environment tailored to each pet’s personality and needs. I have experience with a wide range of animals, including high-energy puppies, shy or anxious pets, and senior dogs and cats who need extra TLC. I’m reliable, intuitive, and attentive to small details—whether it’s sticking to a feeding schedule, recognizing signs of stress, or making sure your pet gets their favorite toy before bedtime. I go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I’m here to make your pet feel at home even when they’re not! Right now, pet care is my top priority—I’m not working another job, so I have full availability to dedicate to your pets. This means I’m flexible with scheduling, whether you need early morning walks, midday check-ins, overnight stays, or last-minute bookings. Because I’m not juggling other commitments, I can give your pet the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. I’m here to make your life easier and your pet’s day happier—every single time! When caring for pets in your home, I stick closely to your routines to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for just like you’re there. I keep things tidy, follow any feeding or medication schedules, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love. If your pet is staying at my home, I ask that you bring their crate, leash, food, and anything else that helps them feel secure and settled (like their favorite toy or blanket). I’ll make sure they have a cozy, clean space, regular walks, and lots of affection throughout their stay. Whether we’re out for a walk or having a quiet day inside, I treat every pet like my own—with patience, love, and care tailored to their personality and needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for several decades. I've trained border collies, beagles, and some other breeds. I naturally bond with pets ever since I was a a kid. I like being around them. I go out of my way to make sure that pets under my watch are taken care of. Please note, at this time, I cannot accommodate pets that are over roughly 65 pounds. I work from home and set my own work schedule and have a lot of flexibility to work with your schedule preferences. I am available any day of the week, and usually can set things up in with only a few hours advanced notice. When I board or walk pets, I often spend a good deal of time taking them to parks as part of my normal routine. I have a bordered back yard at my home that also works.

I look forward to hosting your loving pets.Pet care isn’t just a job for me—it’s a passion that fits seamlessly into my lifestyle. About: As a lifetime dog lover and owner, your dog will be in good hands here. I have fostered and provided basic training to over 14 puppies in the past year and I remain close with almost all of the adopters. I have two hound/ lab mix rescues - Spencer is 8 YO and Peaches is 7 MO. Both were rescued at almost 4 months old and both are neutered and spayed. Our household (me, my husband, our HS Senior, and our pups) loves dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperments. We (our dogs included) understand how to read cues and body language and respond appropriately. My promise to you and your fur babies are that they will have plenty of walks, indoor/ outdoor playtime, potty breaks as needed and as frequently as every 30 min, training and mental stimulation games, water, a comfortable space to rest, and as their health and well being are my top priority, they will have adult supervision at all times. I will only board dogs of the same household in my home at one time. The exception to this is if they are already known friends. Communication is important - tell me their likes, dislikes, known commands, feeding schedules, dietary/ physical restrictions, medication needs, etc. and I will ensure to follow the rules and schedules of your home. I will send plenty of updates and pics and if needed I am happy to give baths and nail trims — if they don't mind them. I guarantee your dogs will return home happy. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Training commands I practice regularly are sit, lay down, paw, wait, come, short leash training, and potty training. Spencer and Peaches have proven to be great trainers as well! During meet and greets or via messages I can share what I have for toys, treats, bath time shampoo, pet conditioner, nail trims, etc. I'm happy to use what you provide as well. My schedule is currently very flexible. The majority of my work is remote. As I work towards my next business venture, I would like to continue my passion of working with dogs using positive reinforcement. I have a large yard surrounded by woods in a quiet community. When dogs are in the yard they have leashes on them unless they have good recall as the yard is not fenced. I will always be outside with them with a pouch full of treats. I also have a gated porch to ensure dogs can enjoy time sitting on the porch and will not escape into the yard when we open the slider. Walks in the neighborhood and on trails are always on leash. If your dog is accustomed to the Chelmsford dog park, I would be happy to bring them there as well once I get to know them. I use adjustable doggy seatbelts while driving. I will only bring two dogs max. Feeding schedule is two or three times per day depending on each dogs schedule. They will eat alongside of my dogs or they can have their own space to eat without distractions. I have two large crates with a divider to create a smaller space if needed. Most dogs have full access to the main first floor. The upstairs is available to fully trained dogs after getting to know them better. I have multiple gates to block access to rooms when needed. I get to know all dogs I board by communicating with their owners and with close frequent observation. I ere on the side of caution, test in small increments in safe quiet settings, building trust and increasing freedom accordingly with the best intentions to ensure their safety and security. New high value dog bones are prohibited while boarding. I have plenty of safe, dog friendly bones and toys here that I'm sure will keep your pup(s) happy.

“Ashley is great at taking care of our dog. We are currently in Florida for vacation, and some of our activities don't allow dogs. So, we looked for someone who can take care of our dog for a day. We booked Rio's stay with Ashley a couple of times. I highly recommend Ashley to people visiting Florida with their dogs. We will definitely be booking Rio's stay with Ashley on our next visit to Florida.”

About: I am genuine, caring, have a great deal of energy, and have never met a pet I do not fall in love with. References available Feed pets in the morning and again in the evening. Fill water bowl twice a day and take dogs for a walk 2-3 times per day I will care for the pet according to owner’’s requirements. Food options, walking regimens, and play time rituals. I will make it my mission to be just like the owner in your absence.

About: I have owned multiple dogs and cats in my life time and currently have two dogs. I work as a manager at a hotel and daycare for both dogs and cats and have worked there for a year. This experience ranges from young puppies and kittens to much older dogs and cats along with other animals like snakes and spiders. I am equipped to give your pet their own unique attention whether they are a super active puppy/kitten, and older mellow dog, or anything in between. I am also trained with administering most medications and know how to take care of animals with special needs. I’m always taking great care of my animals at home and other peoples animals at work. I’m good at creating a great work life balance and will always give your pet the love and attention they deserve. I’m great at maintaining a safe play environment and living arrangement in general. Working in a hotel for dogs and cats has taught me things like how to properly train animals and read their body language. I know how to safely deescalate animal stress and can work with your pet(s) to make sure we are both comfortable while you’re away.

“Kelly and family welcomed Ace as one of their own. Great pictures of all of them in the park, on a walk, lounging in the house…. I’m sure he’ll be thrilled for a return visit”

Lisa K.
“My sister Lisa is a true animal lover through and through. She’s always so open and receptive with my pets — never annoyed, even when my golden retriever covers her in dog fur! She’ll get right down on the floor to play with her and shows the same warmth and patience with my two cats- although they don’t want the same attention as my pup. Lisa is reliable, committed, and always puts others before herself. There’s no doubt in my mind that anyone can feel safe and confident trusting their pets in her care.”

It was hard finding a sitter before her as our Dash is losing his hearing and sight the older he gets. Our other sitters were unable to give him proper care with his medications but Shylayah hasn’t had a problem yet! She truly is fantastic and you can really see how much she cares for animals.”

Chelmsford dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jersey Jack was thrilled to spend Saurday with Mary Ellen, and her dog, Ellie. The Friday "Meet & Greet" was a positive indication of how both dogs would interact. Their shaded & fenced in yard, gave Jack plenty of outside oppertunity to run, explore, and chase with Ellie. When I came to pick up Jersey Jack, he & Ellie were inside their spacious AC house having an interactive chase game. Honestly, I was so happy to see my Scottie playing with a small dog, like him. Jack wouldn't budge off their steps to leave. Mary Ellen asked about carrying Jersey Jack to my car. This is the "Doggie Daycare" location, where I know that my Scottie will receive top quality pet care, with the necessary interaction & stimulation with their friendly dog, Ellie!

This was the first time that my Scottie Terrier, “Jersey Jack” stayed with Leanne. When I picked up “Jack”, he was very calm, which told me that he had a relaxed visit. Also, I didn’t hear any barking dogs. I will definately schedule “Jack” with Leanne for my August 4 through 13 vacation period. Thank you, Betty L. Kerr

Our energetic aussie puppy had a fantastic time playing with Valessa and all of her furry friends. Valessa was very responsive and easy to communicate with, she sent me pictures throughout the day and our dog was happily exhausted when I picked her up. I would definitely leave our happy puppy with Valessa again!
