9. Kevin R.
“I have known Kevin for many years. I shared 4 dogs in the past with him. He was a great dog dad and is very caring to animals and takes care of their needs.”

10. Holly S.
“Holly was booked after two failed attempts to find a house sitter for my dog on Rover. She took the time to meet me and my pup outside of the booking to make sure my dog was a good fit for her environment. She understood the rules of dog introduction with her own pup and the interaction went well. She did a great job making me and my dog feel comfortable. My dog has lots of food allergies and she was attentive to that. My dog also resource guards, which she picked up on right away and did things to make sure the interaction went well. Holly has been very reliable and flexible which was exactly what I needed after 2 previous attempts. My dog had a great in house stay with Holly, I would highly recommend her for any of your dog needs.”

11. Priscilla R.

“Priscilla is a wonderful walker. I would highly recommend her.”

12. Stacey W.
“Stacey has taken care of my dog and 5 cats since June 2024, when I moved to Des Moines. Every weekend she has cared for them. Stacey makes sure all the pets have food and water. She scoops all the litter boxes. She gives my dog her medications and takes her for walks. She send me updates and pictures. She is very dependable. I never have I worry who is going to take care of everyone while I’m gone at work.”

13. Jenna H.
“I’ve known Jenna for my entire life. She has had a few of her own personal pets and has, for many years, watched other pets. She has more than sufficient experience in pet grooming as well including bathing and nail clipping (even of the most stubborn dogs!)”

17. Charlie H.
About: I have raised dogs, cats, bunnies, horses, and chickens my entire life. I currently have a Pug and a Boston Terrier, both puppies. I work from home and can provide day care, over nights, walks, pop-ins, etc. I am right down the street from Gateway so if you need a place to drop your animal off on your way to work downtown, I make a convenient drop off location. Very flexible with times. Air conditioning inside, large fully fenced backyard, and walks daily. 24/7 availability for pet care so long as we communicate in advance. I work from home and can be available based on your needs. I am available for drop off and pick up any time. There are a few times throughout the day where I will be driving my kids to and from events. We can communicate and work around those times. I also have a keypad. Animals are watched closely in the home and kept inside the fence in the backyard under supervision. When on walks animals are always on leash and are one on one with me. Separate food and water bowls are used. My yard is cleared of excrement daily. All animals must be up to date with shots and worming and flea/tick prevention.

18. Jane O.

About: Hi, I’m Jane! I’ve been professionally caring for dogs since 2015, and I make it a priority to learn about each pet before we meet. This includes researching breed-specific needs and understanding any medical conditions to ensure I provide the best possible care. For both dogs and cats, I strive to stick as closely as possible to your routine, while adding a little extra love and exercise to help ease their anxiety while you’re away. PRICING: I offer a base rate for the first pet, with a small additional fee for each extra pet. If you have both dogs and cats, the base rate applies only once per household. Pricing Example: 1 dog, 2 cats: $19 + $4 + $4 = $27 (Note: Fees will be updated prior to booking. Pets must be from the same household.) I have a senior male Chihuahua who accompanies me on overnight stays, so my availability for house-sitting is limited to pet families where this won't be an issue. I work from home and can be flexible for scheduled drop-ins or house-sitting. The pets I care for enjoy frequent breaks to play, walk, or relax in near my lap while I work on my laptop. My policy is to never let a dog out of my sight, even in a fenced yard. Pets can often behave unpredictably when separated from their owners. I focus on keeping them engaged through exercise and play tasks, providing plenty of distractions until your return. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities.

19. Kathryn M.
“Katie loves animals! She takes great care of dogs, and loves to play and walk them! She has my full trust with my dog Billy.”

20. Kristal C.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, mostly medium to large-sized breeds. I helped care for my family's senior German shepard/Shiba in mix and have raised my current dog, Benji, since he was a pup. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks and seeing their unique personalities come out. I am a full-time college student, but I’ve found myself with extra time in my schedule. I am hoping to broaden my experience with animal care as I may pursue a related career in the future. During walks, I stay aware of our surroundings and keep dogs on a secure leash while still letting them explore. For longer visits, I follow their food and medicine schedule, bathroom breaks, and playtime. My Border Collie needs to be told when to take a break, so I’ll make sure your dog rests when needed to keep them happy and safe. ❤️
