I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! About: I have had pets for my whole life, whether that be hamsters, fish, dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife who need extra support to get back into their habitat. I have tons of experience with different kinds of dogs. I have had my dogs since they were puppies all the way to the end of their lives, which gives me knowledge about each of the stages of pet’s lives. I also have volunteered at a dog shelter for 6+ years, so I have experience working with reactive dogs to dogs who are extremely timid and shy. I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I have been able to experience many situations with pets and stay calm during an accident. I am willing to do anything to accommodate any pet because they deserve to have a life of luxury, just like us! About: I graduated from the University of Minnesota and currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to take on dog-sitting opportunities. I’ve spent my entire life around dogs of all breeds and sizes, and many people in my life would call me the biggest dog lover they know. My family has always had dogs, and they currently have three: Zoey, a 2-year-old Rat Terrier, Rocky, a 4-year-old Lab, and Bella, a 9-year-old Rat Terrier. As a dog sitter, I take pride in creating a safe, fun, and caring environment for every dog I look after. I want them to feel comfortable, happy, and loved while their owners are away! I have a flexible schedule and am available for pet care. I enjoy spending time with dogs of all breeds and focus on providing attentive, reliable care so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m familiar with bathroom routines, feeding schedules, and making sure pets get the right balance of play and rest. I understand how important consistency is and can be trusted to administer medications on time when needed. I also have experience with special needs pets, including caring for a blind dog in my own family for many years. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on creating a safe, comfortable environment where every pet feels secure and well cared for.

“Alexandra was awesome! I’m a paranoid helicopter mom who had never left my dogs with anyone but friends and family before, but I felt completely at ease leaving them with Alexandra! She let me bring my dogs over for a meet and greet before their stay to make sure everyone got along and her pup is super sweet. Her huge yard is absolutely amazing for my high energy dogs. “Kelsey was FANTASTIC with Sadie. She took the time to get to know Sadie before bringing her into her home. She made sure that she knew everything that Sadie may need or if there are any concerns that I had. She also took Sadie last minute which was super great for me. During Sadie’s stay, she sent me multiple videos and pictures which really helped me feel at ease, leaving my pup in her care. She’s very communicative and let I know what Sadie was doing throughout the day and when she was going for walks and how much she was eating. Sadie was very tired after her stay and I know that she enjoyed hanging out with Kelsey and her pup. We will absolutely be using her again in the future.”
