About: I've been caring for pets for almost 20 years is general and almost 5 on Rover helping my godmother with cats, dogs, and various other small animals. I work at a local special needs animal shelter. I currently have 2 dogs Luna and Lucky. The idea of getting to interact, care for, and love animals just sounds like a dream come true to me. I look forward to hopefully being able to work with you and your animals! I work a part time job at the local animal shelter but only work a maximum of 5 hours a day so I still have plenty of time for your dogs. If you're dog needs to be kenneled while I'm at work please let me know and bring a kennel. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I can easily crate your dog or my dog if needed.

About: Animals should be treated like the family they are. I have a full acre with multiple secure fences for your animals to play around in. Any animal that loves being pet will get a lot of attention! They deserve to be treated with love and respect because they are apart of your family and are very important. I am a stay at home mom and that gives me a lot of flexibility with timing and scheduling. I am a stay at home mom so I have time to play with your dog and relax with them. They will be outside for a good part of the day with me as long as they want to be. There is plenty of shade as well as water available. There are two fences in place so your dog is really secure. There will always be water available as well as shade. If the weather is bad, or they prefer to be inside most of the day, the downstairs has enough room to run around a bit and is comfortable with a bed and water for them.

About: Hi! I’m Kelsey 😊 I’m a Des Moines native living downtown and working from home full-time. I’m a proud pet mom to Charlie, my Labrador mix, and Blue, my domestic shorthair cat. They’re my babies. I’ve spent my life caring for animals and have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and amphibians. I focus on safety, routine, and low-stress care, and I treat every pet like one of my own. I’m comfortable administering daily medications and providing extra care for senior pets or pets with special needs. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, quirks, and routine so they feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away. Since I work from home full-time, your pet will get lots of supervision, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, treats (if approved!), and plenty of love throughout the day. I aim to create a calm, cozy, structured routine so your pet feels safe, comfortable, and right at home at the Paw Pad. Drop-off and pick-up hours are between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with earlier or later arrangements available when discussed in advance. To keep everyone safe and happy: • Pets should be friendly with people and other animals • Vaccinations and flea/tick prevention should be up to date • Owners provide food, medications, and care instructions • Please share any routines, quirks, or special needs ahead of time You’ll get photo updates during your pet’s stay — and photos taken during services may be shared on my Rover or social media pages unless requested otherwise. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I follow each pet’s routine and care instructions closely, maintain a clean and secure environment, and provide hands-on supervision throughout the day since I work from home full-time. Pets are introduced slowly and thoughtfully when needed, and I always prioritize calm, positive interactions. Each pet has access to a comfortable space to relax, eat, and sleep. I stay observant of behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall wellbeing to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time.between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. I have 3 dogs of my own, all of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I have a fenced in yard and food and treats at the ready. Many leashes and brushes and more. I have 3 dogs of my own that love to play with each other and yours too. I can also keep my dogs away if yours isn't socialized to others.

About: I grew up always having cats and being a total cat lady, however after bringing home my first dog ever I realized how much I absolutely love and adore dogs! I have experience with having a dog of my own (sadly he went on to the rainbow bridge), plus caring for my sisters dog who I jokingly say is my part time dog. I also have experience with all the dogs I’ve gotten to meet through Rover. I would love to have a dog of my own again but I don’t have the proper time or space to have one right now, so I’m looking to get my fix by spending time with your dog! I’m currently available any time of day or night during the week and weekends! Im very attentive to your pets needs and making sure they are comfortable this includes lots of outdoor time with nice walks, and giving them lots of love and attention(not to mention treats!). :) I’m currently taking a little work hiatus so I am available anytime of day or night during the week and weekends to help care for your fur babies! I live in an apartment with 2 cats so any pets that stay with me need to be familiar and friendly with cats. I do have a spare bedroom that I can use for separation purposes however prefer to be familiar and good around cats if I will be watching in my home. If house sitting I will be available to stay in your home and will send lots of pictures and updates along the way.

About: I have had pet since the day I was born. When I had my girls we got a puppy who was 8 weeks old and has since past away I’m March 2022 at the age of 10. We have 3 cats. I’m open time day or night. I work 6p-430a Thursday to Sunday. But free any other time day or night. I’m even free on holidays as my work is never open on most holidays:) I have good size yard. 3 daughters. 2 cats who are very friendly with other animals. I also have a huge deck for the pups to enjoy the sun that I block off on nice days

About: I have played and watched cats since I was a little girl and dogs since I have been an adult. I love animals and treat my Long Hair German Shepherd, Mercedes, like my first daughter. I am usually able to sense what the animal is trying to say. I am very empathetic and want everyone, animals included, to feel comfortable in my home. I only go to the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, all other days I am working from home and allow Mercedes as many trips outside as she wants. We also take time on nice days to play in the yard or take walks. I have a 3 year old who currently runs our house. Mercedes knows not to mess with the human toys or food. Any animal who comes to my house needs to be okay with toddlers. I have comfortable furniture that animals are allowed on, lots of areas to be alone if needed, and different sleeping areas available. I live on a quiet street.

About: As an event planner for an animal rescue organization, animals are, and always have been, at the center of my heart. I have experience caring for puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats. I am punctual, reliable, and ready to treat your pets with the love and care they all deserve! I am typically available all day on weekends with the possibility of occasional weekdays. Working in events, my schedule can be different every week and I am happy to work with clients on a mutually beneficial schedule.
