About: I take care of my neighbors dogs, friends cats, my best friends bring their dogs over and we all walk together. All of our animals were rescued. I am not working over the summer so I am very flexible during the day to help take care of animals when needed/ walking/ letting them out to use the bathroom. I walk the dogs on leashes, I only let them out when there is a fenced in area. I have a fenced in yard at home, that my dog goes out and plays in.

“Staff was a fantastic sitter and took great care of our two sphinx cats while we were on vacation. She kept in continual contact, administered medications when they were required, and spent extra time with our cats. It is clear that Steff enjoys the company of pets. She was punctual and went the extra mile when our plans were changed at short notice and beyond our control. We cannot recommend Steff highly enough.”

About: My family and I have been taking care of dogs ever since I was a baby! There were only 2 years of my life where I wasn't looking after dogs of my own, and in that time I helped friends and neighbors care for their pets. As a child I had two big rescues who my sister and I fed and played with every day. Our next dog Bandit lived to sixteen years old and my mother and I tentatively took care of his senior needs, such as administering medication and cleaning up accidents. Now I'm the proud parent of a medium sized mutt, Amber, and she means the world to me. As a fellow dog parent I understand how important it is to find a responsible companion to keep your pup entertained and cared for. I love dogs of all sizes so rest assured I can handle the tiniest Chihuahua to the hugest Great Dane with love. To me providing care is all about understanding a dog's individual needs and building mutual trust and respect. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your dog and cater to their needs to best of my ability! Currently my post-grad responsibilities include job searching and taking care of my physical and mental health. I have some routine appointments that I attend weekly, but since they are at the same times each week, they are easy to plan around. Otherwise, I determine my own schedule, so my availability is wide open. I often go to Brooklyn on the weekends so my services extend to the five boroughs on Fridays and Sundays. I provide plenty of playtime for your dog if they are active. I love to get pets excited for the day and keep them entertained through various activities. I am also firm with enforcing any rules your pup must follow. For example, if you don't want your furry friend on your couch/bed, I can make sure they respect that rule and reward good behavior with positive reinforcement. Also, I can abide by any regimen your dog requires, such as a feeding schedule or crate time.

“Sha-Niyah took great care of my cat while I was away for the weekend! She sent pictures and followed all instructions and even brought in my mail. She was very respectful, I would definitely recommend her and will be requesting her again in the future!”

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. You can say I enjoy the company of dogs more then people! Your dog(s) will be in good hands. I'm retired so I have the time and attention your dog needs and deserves. I can come to you or you can come to me, I have a big backyard. I can also take your dog to the park. I have a fenced in yard on a 1/2 acre of property. I own a 3 year old Cockapoo named Annie who loves playing with other dogs and doing "zoomies" outside.

About: I don't know life without dogs - I've grown up with multiple dogs at a time - huskies, labs, a boxer, and now a beagle. I have dog-sat for pups of all sizes, energy-levels, and clinginess. My beagle was the most stubborn boy and after extensive training, I am confident that I can adapt to the needs of any pup who may require extra guidance & a need to maintain a routine and comfort. 2025 Update: I've had to return to the office full-time, and so my services are limited at the moment. I am available on weekends and most holidays for in-home sitting or dog-walking. Dogs are allowed on the couch. I have safety gates to prevent pets from being in the kitchen during cooking or eating (to maintain boundaries and prevent food-driven conflict with one another). Dogs are allowed to sleep in the bed if it’s most comfortable for them as I understand the need for some pups to have human contact for sleep. I live with Jasper, a 3 year old beagle who is well socialized and shares his toys. To maintain safety and attentiveness, I only accept one booking at a time. We can arrange a meet and greet upon your request.
