I am big on communication and enjoy sending updates, photos and videos while caring for fur babies. I work a very flexible job that allows me to be in and out of the house each day. Communication is paramount for me - prior to beginning services I will get to know you and your pet(s), and we will discuss your priorities and expectations to ensure a positive experience for your fur baby. At this time I am only offering services at clients’ homes. I have several references available for your peace of mind. I enjoy sending multiple detailed updates throughout the day, with pictures or videos as well! Comfortable administering medication and providing puppy, kitten, or senior pet care.

About: I've taken care of dogs for my whole life, starting with the family dog when I was 4. When I was 22, I got my first dog. A basset hound name Charlie who gave me all the lessons in having a new puppy, and a vocal one at that. My most recent dog, a yorkshire terrier named Lucy, sadly passed 3 years ago at the age of 13 after battling heart and kidney problems. What sets me apart, is that I have experienced the life stages of a dog from puppy to old age, and have loved them fully in all of those stages. I've handled the training and high energy and teething stages, and eased them to the other side with the frequent appointments and medications. Having grown up and been around dogs my whole life, I feel they can sense my genuine love for all animals and I have gotten good at helping all dogs eventually feel at ease with me. Like I say to all people who have told me "they really like you", I have great dog vibes. (And am very responsible too). I am in the process of shifting careers and am wanting to take the time to decide where that will lead. I teach 2-3 crochet classes a month on Sundays but besides those times, I can be available any time as long as there is a little notice. For transparency, I will be looking for additional part time work while in this transitioning stage, but I will update my availability and coordinate with current clients with plenty of notice as I do not plan on stopping with Rover. Right now, I am in a place that does not allow animals, but I am happy to visit/stay at homes or take pets out for walks. A typical schedule when I had dogs, was to wake up and take them for a walk right away, then I would feed them and start my day. Additionally, I always made sure to get them out for an evening/nighttime walk. The amounts of time I take them out to the bathroom depends on the age of the dog and whether there are any issues with accidents in the home. As my dog got older, I had to take her out more frequently and make arrangements with others to help me. I I am in tune with dogs while I am with them. I will leave them alone if they are sleeping or are content, but I am frequently talking to them and connecting with them in different ways (pets, throwing toys, singing songs about them, etc..) so they don't feel ignored. After having 3 of my own dogs, I know how different dogs can be (even if they are all good boys and girls). Knowing a little bit about the dog's personality, fears, favorite treats/toys, health status, etc. helps me care for them better, make their environment safer, and keep them comfortable.

About: What sets me apart is my mix of hands-on experience and medical knowledge. I’ve been dogsitting for 7 years, volunteered at animal shelters on and off for the past 4 years, and worked at a dog boarding facility and as a doggy day care attendant for about 1 year. I currently work as a vet assistant at an emergency clinic with almost 2.5 years of veterinary experience. I’m trained to spot early signs of pain, stress, or illness, stay calm in stressful situations, and handle medications and special needs. My biology degree with a psychology minor also helps me understand dog behavior, so I can read body language and help anxious or shy dogs feel safe. Owners can count on me for reliable updates and attentive care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’ve dogsat for 7 years and work as a full time vet assistant at an ER clinic, so my schedule is consistent. I work 7am-7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, plus a couple of rotating weekend shifts each pay period. I’m available on Mondays, Thursdays, and most weekends, and I can confirm exact dates in advance. I treat every pet like my own and every home with respect. I follow the owner’s instructions on feeding, medications, routines, and house rules, and I keep dogs safe, comfortable, and on their normal schedule. I’m trained to notice signs of stress, pain, or illness, and I’ll update owners with photos and messages during the visit. I always leave the home clean and secure.

About: Iv been with animals for all of my life from fish to hamsters to big dogs. I even graduated from the school of environmental studies. Iv been taking care of our family dogs for years and even helping my grandma s with her own two. In the summer going out to the dog park and long walks to staying inside during the big snowstorms cuddled up. It feels weird not to have an animal by my side Iv delt with both young and elderly animals, giving them medication, care and proper treatment. I was toght to always leave a place in better condition then when you found it

About: Hi! my name Juliana. As an experienced pet caretaker, I have the knowledge and skills that make me the perfect choice for taking care of your pet! I have taken care of both family and friend’s pets ( cats and dogs) and I understand the importance of providing attentive and loving care to make sure they are comfortable and happy. As a Dachshund owner myself, I know how important it is to follow routines and keep in mind specific needs. You can trust that I will provide your furry friend/child with the same level of care and attention that I give my own. Currently my schedule is limited because I don’t work from home, except for Fridays. Therefore, I’m available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for walks and drop ins. I can easy walk your dog and provide the exercise they need around the North Loop / Downtown Minneapolis area. For cat owners, I can provide visits to make sure food and litter are taken care of. Additionally, I volunteer at Minneapolis Animal Care & Control with both cats and dogs, which has helped me to understand behaviors and how to manage difficult situations.

I started on Rover about 6 years ago after leaving my job at a doggy daycare, and have decided to return to Rover after working as a veterinary technician in a high-paced clinic for the past 4 years! When working in a clinic setting I primarily handled patients undergoing anesthesia, but also worked closely with doctors providing care to patients as young as a few weeks up to 20+ years of age. This position taught me how to administer medications, safely handle animals, clean up biohazards, how to win over cats with spicy temperaments, and enjoy working with a wide array of pet personalities. I am comfortable working with any breed (dogs and cats!) of any activity level, and am looking forward to meeting your kiddos! I am currently working Rover as my full-time job while starting up school part time this fall, so I am usually quite flexible fitting your needs into my schedule! While I am not able to board any animals at my home at this time, I am extremely comfortable dropping by your home multiple times a day to ensure your animals are getting the attention they need.

About: I grew up with cats, dogs, doves, horses, chickens, bunnies, ducks, and many other animals! I have a range of experience caring for these pets and making sure they know that they are a part of the family. As an adult, I have attended puppy training classes with my dog, and have volunteered at the humane society. I’m working part time right now, so my schedule has many openings! I am mostly available before 4pm on any day. I am an early riser, so I can do early mornings no problem! I have a lot of experience safely walking dogs in a city setting, and I know just how crafty animals can be when it comes to getting into things they shouldn’t. I will make sure your pet stays safe!

About: I grew up on a farm in the Midwest so animals have always been in my life. I have a 7 year old cat named Schwartz that I love dearly. I also have a 11 year old husky Bree who is an angel. I have multiple years of professional dog walking/handling experience. I currently work a full time position as a chef at a restaurant in uptown. Other then that, I have full availability to care and tans to your animals. I would be interested and available to walk dogs in the morning/ afternoon time. I work nights so I would be available for morning/afternoon check in and overnights.
