About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, ranging in sizes from mini - extra large! I have always had a love for taking care of dog and I would love to meet yours! I am a volunteer for No Dogs Left Behind- that is where we rescued our Willy boy from! We also temporarily foster from time to time. If there are any commands or simple trainings that you would like for me to work on, I am happy to. I have a very flexible work schedule that allows me too plan my day around your dogs needs! My typical day consist of breakfast and potty 7-8am, Midmorning playtime/ potty, 2-3pm lunch then potty, 4:30pm playtime/ walk, 7pm dinner, 8pm night walk. I live on a first floor apartment with a partially fenced in backyard, making it easy to let your fur baby out to play and potty as much as needed! About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. About: I've loved dogs and cats since I was nine, when I got (or made my parents get) my first doggo (Nahla). Later on, I snuck a kitten from my aunts hobby farm into our car, and he’s stayed with us ever since (Vinnie). Nahla and Vinnie are such love bugs, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds (yes, I even have four pet spiders). While I’m new to dog walking/pet sitting as a formal side-job, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog/cat and those of my extended family. I’ve given both cats and dogs medication as well as bottle fed them if they were too young for solid food. I have an incredibly flexible hybrid work schedule! I am able to accept same day bookings and same day cancellations. Due to my living arrangements I can not accept dogs that struggle with excess barking. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. If you want someone who treats your pets the way you would, please send me a message! I'm currently in between jobs, which means I have maximum flexibility for mid-day walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I only confirm stays I can genuinely support. I build the routine around the pet to the best of my ability. I'll ask you what your animal's schedule looks like at home and do my best to mirror it. I know consistency matters! I treat communication as part of the service. You won't wonder how your pet is doing. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you in advance about their routine (feeding schedule, walk preferences, any quirks or triggers) and I follow it to the best of my ability. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.
