“Duskie enjoyed his stay with Emily and her furry sidekick Addie. Emily has lots of experience with senior pups including foster dogs. Duskie seemed comfortable and adjusted pretty well taking naps and relaxing on his first visit. We’ll plan to book Emily again soon!”

“Vanessa did a great job with Rex. She was easy to work with for drop off and pick up even with my odd weekend schedule. She gave a lot of photos and took him on plenty of walks and her dog is super friendly.”

“We’ve started a weekly stay with Magdalena; she takes wonderful care of our golden retriever puppy and sends regular updates throughout the day! Our puppy enjoys playing with Espresso and is learning from his mature behavior as well. We highly recommend Magdalena as a sitter!”

“Kira always does a fantastic job with our miniature poodle Truffle. He clearly enjoys his time with them and gets excited when he sees Kira! Thanks for taking good care of him!”

“Bruce is awesome and I'm so glad to have found him. My dog loves spending the day with him and comes back tired and happy. We are definitely going to be asking Bruce to dog sit again!!! Thanks for everything Bruce. ”

“Ziggy loves his best girlfriend Opal!! When we turn down their street, he starts quivering and whining with excitement to see her. And he’s learning to be a good kitty friend to Olive which our cat appreciates very much.”

“Martha is so communicative and great with our dog. She respects his boundaries and does a great job making him feel comfortable. He loves her patio!”

“We were visiting San Francisco and seeing a Giants game so we decided to leave our dog Winnie with Betty for the day. She was exceptional in every way! Great communication, updates throughout the day and lots of pictures! This was our first time ever leaving Winnie with a stranger and she typically takes a long time to warm up to new people so naturally we were a little nervous about leaving her for the day but Betty did an excellent job of making Winnie feel comfortable and secure.”

“Cesar was such a great host. He had a small gang of tiny dogs for my dog Bentley to play with and a nice deck for him to sun himself. I think the fact that Cesar has a 19 year old dog of his own is testament enough that he is obviously excellent at taking care of animals. Thank you Cesar and we look forward to seeing you in the future :)”

“Remo was amazing with my dog, Chewie. He was flexible with my drop off and pick up times while I was in San Francisco for a conference. He was kind and really funny each time I saw him.”

“Robert and Martin were awesome caretakers! Our dog Mochi came home happy and ready to rest everyday, they took him on good walks to a local park, and even gave him a bath when he got a bit muddy. We really appreciate their care and communication throughout (was nice to get little updates and photos about how the day was going). Thanks Robert and Martin!!”

“Matthew took great care of Jupiter, giving him plenty of walks and downtime! He is communicative and responsive, and I’d absolutely book him to watch Jupiter again :)”

“Lara and Cinnamon became fast friends. Lara was communicative throughout the day. I could tell Cinnamon had fun because she immediately started to look for Lara when we were in the vicinity.”

About: I grew up in a zoo! At one point we had 18 cats and five dogs at the same time (and an iguana, a potbellied pig, rats, a 100 gallon aquarium...and more). I love animals and specialize in high-care pets such as elder needs and aggressive breeds. I work from home (or your home)! I am available and present with your pets and can give them all the love they need and deserve! I have a tall fenced yard in Cole Valley for pets that require a safe off-leash outside time. There are two submissive friendly dogs in my house--however they stay elsewhere in the case of pets with special needs or behavioral issues.

“Jennifer was so great! She helped out at the last minute and was able to be flexible to help me accommodate at the last minute. She sent pictures and Murphy had a great day!!”

“My dog is extremely picky and will let me know she isn't happy by misbehaving. But after a day of care at David's, Penny was not unhappy, which is great. Penny was comfortable at David's place and liked his roommate. It's rare for Penny to like humans. David made sure the other dogs with him are compatible with Penny, another difficult thing. Penny napped most of the time, because that is what she does when she's not working, following someone for food, or playing fetch.”

About: Hi, I’m Laura! 🐶🐱 I’m based in the Mission and I’ve always been an animal lover since I watched Marley and Me as a kid! I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, or whatever your pet needs. I’ve done Rover visits and services, and I really enjoy getting to know each pet. While I don’t have a pet of my own right now, I’ve helped care for my family’s dog over the years and spent a whole summer taking care of a friend’s cat—daily feedings, playtime, cleaning up, and just keeping them company. My schedule can be flexible so feel free to reach out if you want to set up a quick meet-and-greet or request services—I’d love to hear about your pet and how I can help! I’m available for morning and evening visits on weekdays and have flexible, open availability on weekends (available for boarding and day care). I update my availability on here regularly! I’m comfortable with all breeds and ages—whether your pet is energetic or a little shy, I’ll meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel safe and seen. I live alone in my own place just a few minutes walk from a park, which means easy access to fresh air and playtime when needed.

About: I grew up with a dog in the house and have always been an animal lover. I could not imagine a life without them. I truly believe that they are man's best friend and we have so much to learn from them! I currently have two dachshund mixes and live across the street from Buena Vista Park which has plenty of space and trails for dogs to get their exercise. It also has an amazing dog community. My beagle growing up was a difficult little lady who was not great socially with other animals nor people, so I understand certain animals need specific care an awareness in social situations. But a little love can go a long way! I look forward to meeting your pup and having them join me on one of my daily trips to the park :) I work from home and enjoy taking breaks to go outside with the dogs, especially with a beautiful park across the street. Since I’ve already got 2, it’s a part of my everyday routine. I let my dogs out minimum 4x per day and always do a 45 min walk in the park as well. Mine eat 2x per day, but I’m happy to accommodate any feeding schedule necessary.

“I was in a huge bind and at 10 o’clock at night. Kate immediately responded to me saying that she could watch my dog for the day. Kaia has separation anxiety but immediately warmed up to Kate, which shows what a kind nature Kate has. She sent me lots of pictures and kept me updated. I was never worried about Kaia! If you ever need a dog sitter, I would not hesitate to call Kate. I will definitely be calling her again.”

“Jolene was great! She took such great care of my dog Appa and shared thoughtful updates with me the whole time. Will definitely hope to have Jolene dog-sit for Appa in the future :)”

“Finding the right person to care for my kitten mango, was a huge concern, but Laura exceeded all expectations! From our initial meet and greet, I could tell she was a genuine animal lover. She asked detailed questions about Mango’s routine, quirks, and even his favorite toys. While I was away, Laura sent daily updates with photos and videos, which completely reassured me. She followed his feeding schedule perfectly, ensured she got plenty of exercise. I returned home to a happy, well cared for cat. Laura is responsible, communicative, and truly cares about the animals she looks after. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!”

Castro-Upper Market dog parents share their Rover experiences
Eileen was great with our little guy, very thoughtful about the intro to her sweet dog, super-responsive, and sent photos and updates throughout the evening. She was extremely kind and flexible when our event ran long and our pickup timing changed. We’ll definitely use her again!

This was my first time using Rover so I was very nervous to leave our new puppy with a stranger, but wow, I couldn’t imagine a better experience than with Shelley! She was so kind and loving, sent photos and videos throughout the day. Multiple walks. Our puppy peed in her house and she was super understanding (sorry!!). She was very experienced with dogs and had incredible energy. I think our puppy would’ve been quite content if her never picked her up again and she just lived with Shelley and her husband! I highly recommend her!

We booked Martha for dog-sitting but unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute—but she was very communicative and lovely to deal with, and we would definitely use her in the future!

Baggins always comes home happy 😊 We also appreciate the photos Heidi shares. Makes us feel better to see him taken care of. Thanks so much!

Sydney was great. Took good care of Nico and had fun with him too — Nico was sad to leave. We’ll reach out to Sydney again to watch Nico!

Kira was truly amazing! I needed someone super last minute while I was visiting San Francisco, and she was so sweet and quick to help. My dog has separation anxiety, so I’m always nervous leaving her alone in our hotel — but Kira made her feel so safe and loved. She sent me lots of updates and cute pics, which gave me total peace of mind. Couldn’t recommend her more!!

Bryan took very good care of Neeli. He asked for her schedule in detail. Gave updates, Neeli came back very happy. We will be happy to leave Neeli with them again.

Cassia responded quickly to my short notice request, and was flexible with times and able to accommodate Coakley for evening dog-sitting. Excellent communication and pictures; would book again next time we're in town!

Wil was attentive to our dog's needs and communicated with us during the stay. We'll definitely use Wil's services again!

Gabrielle was the best! Super easy to work with and communicative. Waffles had the best time with her! Will definitely book again.

Awesome communication and took such good care of my dog Billie! She helped us out for two whole weeks and was very consistent, took long walks, and always sent pictures. So appreciative of everything!

Meagan was great. It was the last minute trying to look for someone to watch my baby while traveling to San Francisco. She took care of my girl. If anyone is traveling to SF for 1 day like I did. I recommend her.

Maria was able to watch our pup on short notice and did a great job. She provided lots of photos and updates, was always quick to respond, and listened to our long list of instructions at the beginning. Highly recommended.

During my visit to San Francisco, I left my dog Olive with Ilgaz for two days. She had a great time and played a lot. I chose Ilgaz based on a recommendation from someone else living in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied. She’s both reliable and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. I’ll definitely choose her again on my future visits.

Highly recommend monica! She was easy to communicate with and sent regular updates throughout the day. My dog had a great day with her.

We were visiting San Francisco and seeing a Giants game so we decided to leave our dog Winnie with Betty for the day. She was exceptional in every way! Great communication, updates throughout the day and lots of pictures! This was our first time ever leaving Winnie with a stranger and she typically takes a long time to warm up to new people so naturally we were a little nervous about leaving her for the day but Betty did an excellent job of making Winnie feel comfortable and secure.

Couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Simrah was so responsive and a light to work with. She went at our dogs pace and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. She also sent updates and pics throughout so we were comfortable as well! Will definitely use her again.

Saba is great! Friendly, communicative, and sent plenty of updates. I would recommend and book again!
