“Nicoletta was absolutely wonderful!!! Caring for our 2 5yo kitties and managing the chaos of a newly introduced 6mo kitty! Grateful for the meet and greet before hand and all the communication during the visit. Truly a cat person!!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life. Growing up my mom worked in a pet store and I use to help her out after school. I have had dog in my home my whole live from little puppies to older pups. I love to nestly up on a couch and knitt with a furry friend by my side. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of free time for fun pet care. I really enjoying the flexible work schedule and getting to spend my time with animals. While in the client's home I will spend time with the family pet, playing , cuddles and proving care. If I have my primary job that day I will let the animal do their business in the morning, make sure they have food and water. I will return in the afternoon for play time and to support their need.

About: Funny enough, I didn’t grow up as a dog person! I was born and raised in San Francisco and spent most of my life living in an apartment where pets weren’t allowed. I actually grew up being afraid of dogs—I still remember running away from a tiny poodle as a kid! That all started to change when my friends began getting fur babies of their own. The more time I spent around their dogs, the more I realized how sweet, loving, and full of personality they were. Slowly, that fear disappeared and turned into a genuine love for dogs. Before I knew it, I was getting attached to every pup I met! When my brother and sister-in-law got their Corgi in 2022, I absolutely fell in love with him. I honestly lost count of how many times I visited them just to see their pup! I was always happy to offer to babysit whenever they were away, which gave me more hands-on experience caring for a dog on my own. Over the past 5 years, I’ve helped care for and dogsit for family and friends, and eventually, I knew I wanted a fur baby of my own. I’m now a proud dog mom to a Samoyed who I’ve raised since he was just 9 weeks old. He’s a little over 1.5 years old now, and raising him from such a young age has taught me so much about puppy care, routines, feeding, walks, playtime, training, patience, and handling all that puppy energy! My boyfriend also has a Boston Terrier, so our household is currently home to two very different pups—my big, fluffy Samoyed and his much smaller Boston Terrier. Living with and caring for both of them every day has given me experience managing multiple dogs with different personalities, sizes, energy levels, and needs. It has also taught me that every dog is different, and getting to know their individual quirks and personalities is one of my favorite parts of being around them. Because I know firsthand what it’s like to go from being unfamiliar with dogs to completely falling in love with them, I have a lot of patience and respect for each dog’s individual personality and comfort level. I also know how much trust it takes to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care. My goal is simple: to give your pup the same love, attention, patience, and care that I would want someone to give my own. ❤️ I work a Monday–Friday desk job and usually work remotely from home, so I’m able to be around throughout the day to give your fur baby plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. My weekends are also free, which gives me even more flexibility for daycare and boarding. I occasionally need to go into the office for meetings or special projects. On those days, I typically leave early around 5:30 AM and am back home by about 2:30 PM (or earlier). My flexible schedule allows me to make pet care a natural part of my daily routine and give your fur baby plenty of love, attention, and company while they’re staying with me. Since I have two pups of our own, walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and lots of doggy attention are already a regular part of my daily routine! 🐾 I live in a quiet townhome community in Hercules, just a few minutes’ walk from beautiful Refugio Valley Park—perfect for walks, fresh air, and some extra sniffing time! My home is a two-story townhome with a fenced backyard, giving the pups a secure outdoor space for potty breaks and supervised playtime. I have two house-trained fur babies, a Samoyed and a Boston Terrier, so my home is already very dog-friendly. I also understand that every pup has their own personality and comfort level. There are baby gates throughout the house to section off different areas when needed, whether that means giving energetic pups their own space to play or providing a quieter area for those who would rather relax and lounge on the couch. Speaking of couches—pups are welcome! There are two couches with plenty of room for anyone who wants to curl up, get comfy, and make themselves at home. There are also crates in a variety of sizes, toys, and other pet supplies available when needed. For additional safety and peace of mind, my home is equipped with cameras to keep an extra eye on the pups and my home environment when needed. Safety and comfort are very important, and I’m happy to follow your pup’s normal routine, feeding schedule, crate preferences, and any specific care instructions you provide. My home is also within walking distance of Hercules Pet Hospital, which gives me additional peace of mind should veterinary care ever be needed. Ultimately, I want your pup to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re here—and for you to feel confident knowing they’re being cared for like one of my own. ❤️
“Deborah took great care of our two dogs! She was so kind and helped us through our anxiety by sending lots of updates and pictures. She was flexible when we had to make some last minute changes. I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you for everything, Deborah!”

“Samiah did a wonderful job taking care of Snow. She was very attentive, reliable, and kept us updated during our time away. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog and a clean home, which gave us great peace of mind. We’re very thankful for all her help and would gladly book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐶💕”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (and other animals) since I was a kid. A proud godmother of a Yorkshire Terrier, a sweet gentleman. Got on Rover during college, and I absolutely loved it. My situation makes it hard to raise my own pets, so I take the chance to be around them whenever I could. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility and time to provide attentive care for animals, including long walks and companionship. This allows me to be consistently present and available while pet sitting. I’m not currently able to host pets in my own space, but I take the time to get familiar with each new environment so I can provide the best possible care. I make communication with owners a priority, especially when learning the details of a new home or routine.

About: I am the proud owner of 2 rabbits so I have experience working with shy animals. I am also my family and friend's go to person for pet sitting. I am told I have a welcoming and calming vibe that pets love. I am currently in school for Medical Assisting and working Thursday -Monday. I’m available right now only Tuesday and Wednesday. If you need someone to take your dog on a morning run or walk I can definitely help you with that. I am very attentive of pets. My two bunnies do not make much noise so I constantly need to be watching them and what they do. They also speak with their body language so I will listen to your pets visual and audio signals. I am responsible and with respect you, your pet and property.

About: I have had dogs since I was 7 and Cats since I can remember. I am happy to assist with pet-sitting, midday care, and walking. I currently have flexible, open availability and would be happy to provide dependable, attentive care for your pets according to their individual needs and routines. I provide attentive, individualized pet care in each client’s home, following the pet’s normal routine for feeding, fresh water, walks or exercise, playtime, medication instructions when provided, litter-box or waste cleanup, and plenty of companionship. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and clear communication, including updates so clients know their pets are comfortable and well cared for. I do not provide boarding, kennel services, or pet care at my own residence.
About: I’m Xaniah, nice to meet you! My love for animals transcends every species, size, and personality :) Having so much knowledge from my life shared with animals, I was always drastically ahead of my peers when it comes to pet care. I’m committed to caring for each fur baby as if it was my own. I know each pet has their own little personality and I always try my best adapting to each one. New clients, let’s schedule a meet & greet before accepting any booking! I prefer learning about their needs face to face so you and your pup can become acquainted with me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :) Thank you for reading and I hope to meet you and your fur baby soon! Only working Sat-Mon, and can take any days off if needed. Low maintenance WFH job during the week so I can give my attention to your pets! Whether your pet is in my home or yours, you can trust that safety is my highest priority and neither your fur baby or your home will be in jeopardy! I treat every animal and home as if it was my own, and leaving both cleaner than I found them. No pet, furniture, or Neiman Marcus vase shall be harmed in my presence :)
About: I’ve owned pets all my life. I treat my pets as family members and would love to care for yours the same way while you are away from home. My goal is for you to leave your pets behind knowing they will be well taken care of. I’m currently a stay at home mom of a baby and 2 boxers. I’m constantly playing with my dogs and I keep them occupied all day (boxer energy is no joke) I have a decent sized back yard where your pet can play safe and freely, I also have a special indoor area where your pet can play and rest. If your dog loves to play I own 2 young energetic boxers who love to make new friends and will make sure your dog is exhausted by the end of the day. However, if your dog is older and/or just prefers a quiet place I can certainly accommodate.
About: We’re Back! 🐾❤️ We’re a team with a shared love for animals! We actually met while working at Pet Food Express, so caring for animals has been part of our story from the very beginning. We both have hands-on pet care experience, and I’ve been in the animal industry since around 2012, with a background in pet nutrition, retail, grooming, and volunteer work. We’re experienced with pets of all sizes, seniors, and animals with special needs, and we’re happy to accommodate medication needs. Now, I work mornings and my partner Ashley works from home, so your pets will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day! We live in a spacious three-bedroom home with lots of natural light and a large backyard for exploring, playing, and relaxing. We love dogs of all sizes, from tiny teacups to Great Danes, and we’re big cat lovers, too! Nail trims are available upon request for an additional fee. Our goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home. We can’t wait to meet your furry family! 🐶🐱💕 I am very flexible, accommodating, and available to work around you and your pets schedule, making it easy for drop off and pick up times. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly pug to keep your pup company. Our pug is also crate trained and will be separated when my eyes can’t be on them. Our home is very calm and inviting. We don’t do loud noises or have a lot company over. We always love to have pups around! Can’t wait to meet you and your pet!
“Alyssa did a wonderful job watching my two large pitties! She was extremely punctual and left detailed notes about what was happening while we were out of town and was very communicative!”

About: I have have been taking care of dogs of different sizes for as long as I can remember. Ranging from German Shepards to chihuahuas. My heart is very big for animals and I am always rescuing animals so there is never a time that I am without a pet. I treat all pets like they are my own and will take care of them as if they were my own. I love spending time with my very young and active Maltipoo who loves playing with other dogs at the dog park. He is very social and kind. He loves licking faces and resting his head on your legs. He also loves going to the beach to dip his paws in water. We run together almost everyday. I believe a healthy dog is a happy dog. Taking my dog on either a morning stroll or night hike is my top priority and would be the same for any pet I care for. I believe in consistency. I will try to keep your pet’s schedule and routine as similar to what they’re familiar as possible. My wish is make them comfortable and happy until their owner returns.
“Very communicative and lovely with our aloof chow chow mix. He swooped in to save us with a last minute booking. We're grateful!! Will be booking again in the future :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carquinez Heights
Adam helped us out last minute when our regular petsitter ended up with a health emergency. Adam responded right away, agreed to meet at the last minute to go over the instructions (and was on timely for that meeting also), and he took awesome care of our 2 indoor kitties and helped feed our 4 feral cats outside. He completed all the tasks wonderfully and gave thorough updates after each visit. I highly recommend Adam for your petsitting needs!

Thank you Nicoletta for taking such good care of my Zoya and Zeus. Nicoletta is very responsible and caring and looked after my 2 kitties while I was away. She sent me great pictures and updates whenever needed. Will highly recommend her to all cat parents who need a reliable catsitter.

Samiah is amazing! She treated our cats with such love and they really enjoyed her company. Samiah went above and beyond to handle any complications that arose and communicated clearly and effectively. I felt so at ease with her watching the animals, I would definitely book her again!

Rachel Ann was a lifesaver for us when we needed last-minute care for our cat, Freya. Our cat needed two new prescriptions administered twice daily and her food preferences had also just changed. Rachel Ann was an absolute professional in caring for Freya and even adjusted the visit times to accommodate how our cat was responding. She was very loving and sent daily updates and photos. We will definitely request Rachel Ann again and we recommend her to anyone who needs routine or advanced care for their cat.

Another successful petcare week with Emma and our sweet but anxious cowdog! Sandia got into a happy routine and was no longer nervous about us leaving. She was confident when seeing us going out the door knowing Emma would be coming for their routine. All was right with world once Emma arrived for her walk and treats. A new milestone for our Sandia.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
