We were understandably nervous about leaving Wizzy with an unfamiliar family for an extended 17-day stay, especially since it was her first time being boarded. Kushram immediately put us at ease by inviting us to a meet-and-greet before the boarding began. We had the pleasure of meeting his family, visiting their lovely home, and seeing the environment where Wizzy would be staying. This experience helped us build trust right from the start. Throughout our 17-day vacation, Kushram consistently sent videos and photos, along with thoughtful updates on Wizzy’s health and well-being. He was incredibly responsive via text and conversations, always replying within the hour. When we picked Wizzy up, all of her belongings were beautifully cleaned, organized, and packed—nothing missing, which we truly appreciated. Overall, the service was top-tier. She was very responsive and enthusiastic about taking care of Willa (our little monster.) I’m so used to picking up Willa from sitters expecting she’ll be dirty, her fur attracts anything and everything, that usually I’ll end up giving her a bath. But this time was different. About: I have worked at 2 dog facilities, The Meadows Canine Camp in Santa Rosa and I currently work at the Milo Foundation where I walk and adopt out dogs. I currently have a foster named Grayson (boxer) who is good with small dogs. I love animals and I am very qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. Cant wait to meet them! I work at the Milo Foundation in point Richmond Wednesday-Sunday. Your dog would need to be ok for 8hrs alone on those days or if they are small I can take them with me to work. Before and after work would be dedicated time spent with your pet and I am off on Mondays and Tuesdays. While walking, your pets safety is my number one priority and I will make sure to walk in areas deemed appropriate by clients. Having dogs of my own, I understand the importance on keeping them safe when out. I also like to use a harnesses when walking to avoid a dogs collar slipping and possibility of getting loose.

“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

I would prefer to crate your dog for my out periods. About: I am a dog lover like I’m sure most of us on Rover are. I have two dogs myself. Riley my three year-old Pomeranian mix, and Raven my 18 month old toy poodle. I’ve also helped to take care of my mom’s five-year-old Maltese mix Max who has megaesophagus. Normally during the school year I send my dogs to my friend’s house while I’m at work, she and her husband have three dogs of her own. Often she will watch other friend’s dogs as well while they travel. After school I’ll hang out and help her with/play with all the pups. My daytime job is a teacher. I’ve been teaching (mostly 3rd grade) in Vallejo for over 20 years now. I would like to spend my summers traveling but this summer don’t have any big plans. I’d love to spend my time taking care of, playing with, walking, and enjoying being with dogs who make me so happy! Currently I am starting out with just offering drop in visits and dog walking. If that changes in the future I have a dog friendly home, fenced in yard, lots of toys, pee pads inside if needed as well as grass outside.

About: I’ve had a dog ever since I was about 8 years old. I’m about to be 29 so that’s over 20 years of experience! I’ve had very calm dogs to my now 2 high energy, herding, reactive dogs!
