About: Hi, my name is Luis, and I provide dependable, attentive, and high-quality pet care through rover. Caring for dogs has always been a true passion of mine, and I take pride in creating a safe, structured, and enriching experience for every dog in my care. As a fitness professional and part-time personal trainer who works primarily from home, I’m able to dedicate consistent time, supervision, and personalized attention to the pets I care for throughout the day. My active lifestyle allows me to provide dogs with the exercise, engagement, and companionship they need to feel balanced, relaxed, and happy. I focus on creating a calm and positive environment while reinforcing good habits such as loose-leash walking, recall, and attentiveness during walks and daily routines. Every dog receives patient care tailored to their personality, energy level, and comfort needs. I understand how important communication and trust are when someone else is caring for your pet. That’s why I provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident, informed, and at ease while your dog is with me. My home offers a comfortable and welcoming setting with a fully fenced yard and access to beautiful nearby walking areas, including Refugio Valley Park and surrounding trails just minutes away. Daily walks, outdoor time, play, and companionship are all part of the experience your dog will enjoy here. While staying with us, your pet will be treated like family and welcomed as part of our pack with plenty of affection, attention, structure, and care. Please feel free to share any routines, preferences, special instructions, or favorite activities your dog enjoys so I can provide the most comfortable and personalized experience possible. I look forward to meeting you and your pup and providing a level of care you can truly feel confident in. I work from home most of the time with most days full-time at home. , which allows me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. Pets staying with me enjoy multiple daily walks and outdoor exercise sessions tailored to their energy level and needs. They will also have the companionship of my two friendly dogs, Lumi and Sago, providing both social interaction and play opportunities in a safe, supervised environment. Whether your pet enjoys active play or simply relaxing with company, they will receive plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment during their stay. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a beautiful, quiet, and safe neighborhood with a fully fenced yard where your pet can enjoy supervised outdoor time, potty breaks, play sessions, and relaxing in the sunshine whenever they choose. We are also fortunate to have scenic paved hiking trails and a park just a few minutes away, which I regularly use for walks and exercise with my own dogs. Whether your pet enjoys leisurely strolls or more active outings, I can tailor their activities to their individual needs and energy level. To help your pet feel completely at home, I encourage you to share any special preferences, routines, favorite activities, or unique needs they may have. Maintaining consistency with their daily schedule helps create a comfortable, stress-free experience and allows them to settle in as if they were in their own home.

“Kira thank you SO much for taking such good care of fluffy. Kira really went above and beyond to make sure fluffy was happy and well fed. I’m so glad we’ve found her. We would welcome her back in a heart beat to cat sit for our next trip.”

“Super easy to work with and great communication, we really appreciate Huyhanna helping us out on short notice to look in on the kitty! Kitty is shy with everyone, but it was great to know she's okay and she's always reassured to have someone stop by. Look forward to working with Huyhanna again!”

“Linda was great! She was able to help out with a last-minute request to do check-ins for my kitty Scooter. She sent daily photos and updates, and when unavoidable problems came up, she was communicative and handled them. It meant a lot to know my kitty was getting attention while I was away for a week. I can tell Linda really loves critters.”

“Nancy is really awesome. She has watched my dogs twice and the second time was a more urgent matter and she was able to help me out :’) she updates if they are, poop or pee which is helpful to know! Nancy is the best!”

About: I've had pets all my life, primarily dogs. I've been the loving human for a 17-year-old Chiweenie -- my chill, fur daughter, Coco -- since she was a pup. I've also cared for pets and house sat for several friends and family over the years. With so many years of pet parenting behind me, I'll approach caring for your dog as if they were my own. I live quite an active lifestyle, so I'm happy to take your dog for long walks or jogs, depending on your dog's ability and your preferences. I can also just visit and pay them as much attention as they need. I enjoy travel with purpose, so I can house sit and/or care for your pet while I'm visiting your area. I have an in-person job now, so if your request fits within my schedule and your pet can be alone from morning until the afternoon, then we can make it work! Just let me know your unique situation and requirements. I'll do my best to cater your pet care experience to fit all your needs! I can arrange time to care for your pets during the day, evening or on weekends, depending on what I have going on. I have a regular in-person job now, so my daytime hours are limited. I may be able to do early mornings; otherwise, late afternoons and evenings will work best during the week. I typically have weekends open. If your pet can be on its own for a few hours, from morning until the afternoon on weekdays, we can make it work! I like to get the full run down of your dog's needs, temperament, eating habits, favorite activities and toys, potty schedule, physical limitations and anything else you think will help me provide the best care for your pet. I also think it would be a good idea for your dog to meet me in person for an initial intro if that fits into your time frame.
“Thank you so much for caring for our spotty boy! We really appreciate you and the time you took to come see to his needs. Excellent work, super responsive and communicative.”

About: I have worked at 2 dog facilities, The Meadows Canine Camp in Santa Rosa and I currently work at the Milo Foundation where I walk and adopt out dogs. I currently have a foster named Grayson (boxer) who is good with small dogs and I also own a small Maltese mix named Swiffer. I love animals and I am very qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. Cant wait to meet them! I work at the Milo Foundation in point Richmond. I normally work Tuesday-Saturday but we will soon be closed for renovations for the month of September. I will be very available to pet sitting and boarding as I will be working from home the entire month of September! While walking, your pets safety is my number one priority and I will make sure to walk in areas deemed appropriate by clients. Having dogs of my own, I understand the importance on keeping them safe when out. I also like to use a harnesses when walking to avoid a dogs collar slipping and possibility of getting loose.

About: Hi friend! I am an animal lover through and through and I’d love to better utilize my flexibility by being a compassionate resource to those pets who need some extra love, attention, support, exercise, or fresh air when you’re simply not as available as you wish you could be. I have been entrusted to dogsit for several friends pups (of all sizes) and many cats, and was lucky enough to share 13 years with my dog Gunther and 12 years with my gray shorthair cat Wilbur. My darling 14-year-old kitty now gets all the extra love! I look forward to lightening your load and showing your pet the same love and attention I’d show my own! Availability flexible for now, may be more restricted in the future. I look forward to meeting your pet, please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions at all. ♥️ *Currently accepting requests within a ~20 mile radius of Crockett, CA - just ask!*

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Crockett
Thea has been cat sitting for my family for 2-3 years on Rover, whenever we go out of town. When we come home, the cats are always perfectly taken care of, and just mildly annoyed and dramatic, as you’d expect cats to be :) Thea is always super responsive and we trust her completely in our home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
