About: I believe every animal deserves patience and love. They tell you what they need when you know what to look for and give them the opportunity to express themselves. I grew up with many pets and have experience caring for all kinds of dogs and cats. I have cared for puppies, senior animals, and everything in between. I'm currently exclusively a pet-sitter and have no pets of my own, so I can give my undivided attention to your animals. When I start part-time classes Monday-Thursday in the fall, I will still be available after class and over the weekends. I maintain a calm environment and provide exercise, play time, and cuddles for every pet. I love walking dogs around their neighborhoods and taking them to the park or the beach. I follow feeding schedules and other care instructions and have experience with crate-training and separation anxiety.
“Nicoletta was awesome! She was caring, knowledgeable, and flexible with her time! She took wonderful care of my two cats and made sure they were healthy and happy. She even was patient with my worries about being away and sent great pictures to assure me that all was well. I will definitely choose Nicoletta again to kitty sit for me again in the future… just hope she’s not all booked up due to such awesomeness!!”

“Met letter was great with our two cats! She did all the basics (food/water/litter box) and then gave them some extra love and attention. She even got our shy one to come out and say hi! Would definitely recommend her for all of your pet needs and we will Definitely be using her again ❤️”

“Amber was a great sitter. Listened to all of my instructions for Calypso and executed them without question. She even put out some extra water when she noticed the bubbies was drinking a lot of water. 10/10 will recommend”

“Super easy to work with and great communication, we really appreciate Huyhanna helping us out on short notice to look in on the kitty! Kitty is shy with everyone, but it was great to know she's okay and she's always reassured to have someone stop by. Look forward to working with Huyhanna again!”

“Adam was fantastic- I had him come take care of my three cats while I was away and I truly feel like I left them in the best care while I was away. He was super communicative, very flexible, and made sure that he understood their whole routine to make sure they were fully taken care of. 10/10 I will absolutely hire him again next time we’re away!”

“Val was amazing! She did drop in visits for my dogs for about five days. On each visit she took pictures and updated me on the status of my dogs. I could see on their faces that they were having fun with Val. She even bought them some toys to play with. She was very attentive and responsible.”

“Deborah is a wonderful pet caretaker. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has to take oral medication every day and even though we have only been doing this regime for a week she was willing to jump in and help for the holiday weekend. She clearly loves animals and communicated while about how he was doing. We definitely recommend her and will use her again when we are out of town!”

“Nancy was great with our Gus. Although he is 8 years old, this was the first time he was home by himself for an extended period so we wanted to make sure he got lots of love and visits. Nancy sent us pictures and updates while we were gone. We could tell Gus enjoyed her visits and he was well taken care of.”

“Thank you so much for caring for our spotty boy! We really appreciate you and the time you took to come see to his needs. Excellent work, super responsive and communicative.”

About: Hi friend! I am an animal lover through and through and I’d love to better utilize my flexibility by being a compassionate resource to those pets who need some extra love, attention, support, exercise, or fresh air when you’re simply not as available as you wish you could be. I have been entrusted to dogsit for several friends pups (of all sizes) and many cats, and was lucky enough to share 13 years with my dog Gunther and 12 years with my gray shorthair cat Wilbur. My darling 14-year-old kitty now gets all the extra love! I look forward to lightening your load and showing your pet the same love and attention I’d show my own! Availability flexible for now, may be more restricted in the future. I look forward to meeting your pet, please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions at all. ♥️ *Currently accepting requests within a ~20 mile radius of Crockett, CA - just ask!*

Thea has been cat sitting for my family for 2-3 years on Rover, whenever we go out of town. When we come home, the cats are always perfectly taken care of, and just mildly annoyed and dramatic, as you’d expect cats to be :) Thea is always super responsive and we trust her completely in our home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
