About: Animal rescue is my true passion in life. I grew up rescuing and caring for animals with my mom, and as an adult, I’ve continued to adopt pets in need from my local shelter. I enjoy building trust with animals and watching them feel safe and comfortable with me. I’m experienced in administering medication, understanding animal body language, and creating a calming environment so your pet can relax. I know how hard it can be to leave your animal with someone else, especially when they require special care. I promise to treat your animals as if they were my own. I am reliable, compassionate and a proficient communicator. My goal is to give you the peace of mind of knowing your pets are loved and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home which allows me greater flexibility to be available for your animals. For dog walking and drop in visits, I'm typically available after 3PM on weekdays, or all day on weekends. For house sitting, I can work at your home during my stay to provide full time care. I prefer to care for your pets in their own home, as my rescue cat does not get along with other animals. I'm happy to take on any and all responsibilities for your pets, whether it's in your home or during walks. Your pet's health and safety is my top priority.

About: Ever since I was a small child, neighbors and friends have entrusted me to check in on their beloved animals and ensure they are fed, played with, and cleaned up after. As an adult who normally teaches full time, I have house sit for colleagues who have children and take them on vacation while I look after their dogs and their parents' chickens across the street. I don't work summers or during school breaks and I don't have kids so I have a lot of flexibility and free time when school is not in session. I'm great with animals On breaks and weekends, I can make pet care my sole focus. No children or other pressing obligations means that I can give all my attention to your furry friends. I come prepared to enrich your pets time and can read a book while they sleep. My husband can handle my household chores so that I don't have to leave your house if that is what the job entails. The only real routine barrier is my teaching job but that is only during week days in the 10 month school year not accounting for planned holidays, Summer or weeks off. I can prepare food, take on walks, clean litter boxes, give medicine, regularly keep water bowls cleaned and filled, play with and ensure that all animals are where they are supposed to be when I turn in for the night or leave the house. I will defer to client's needs or requests as well for anything out of the ordinary.

“Rossy was amazing! She followed my cats' routine perfectly (wet food, dry food, water, cleaning litter boxes), and spent time giving them all some love. She kept in touch with me regularly, always sending updates and photos. She was also really helpful, watering my houseplants and bringing in the mail. Above and beyond! And finally, she was very flexible and accommodating, dealing with some date changes on my part and being available when a cancelled flight kept me away longer than expected. I have many years of experience working with animals, from pet-sitting in my home, neighborhood, and campus to volunteering in animal shelters. I am a third-year environmental science student at Cornell University. I have experience administering oral and topical medication to pets, have cared for senior pets, and know how to safely remove ticks. I love hiking and will make sure your energetic pup gets all the exercise they need! I have a car and am happy to bring animals along on adventures. I am a student with a flexible schedule and a car to get me and your animals to where they need to go! Overnight stays are easy for me to do and I often have time for long walks. I can and will care for your pets in any way you need me to! I can easily house sit as well and chauffeur pets to veterinary care or other appointments.
