Plucky Dog Walker and Cat Nanny

Pet care experience

I am a full time freelance dog walker and pet caretaker with both recurring clients as well as room for new requests. I’m a good fit for clients looking to build a long term relationship with a reliable pet sitter and dog walker. I absolutely adore animals and I take the time and effort needed to learn personalities and to become bonded with the animals that I work with. Building trust and confidence while also having fun is part of what makes me an awesome pet sitter, one who can plan adventures as well as create safe boundaries. I have over 20 years of experience working with a variety of different animals both as a volunteer at rescue ranches as well as a working professional. I can administer meds of any kind including intravenous and subcutaneous. *For clients seeking overnight care? I have a wonderful hound dog named Wilma who must be welcome to join me when I’m staying overnight so please don’t contact me if that’s not workable for your situation. *Clients seeking boarding? This is a new service for me as June 2025. I’ll only accept dogs or cats that can be comfortable with my dog, Wilma. I cannot take multiple animals from multiple owners, I only offer boarding for one pet or family at a time. As a tenant on a beautiful 16 acre property, I have access to a huge unfenced yard and hours of walking in the woods and to 6 mile creek; so dogs will be leashed when outside and will go for at least one long hike a day. Dogs need to be able to be left alone for 6 hours at a time. For cats? I have a separate office for any cat that would like to be away from my dog. *For dogs with any kind of bite history? Please detail that for me when contacting me regarding walks or visits. *Clients who have cameras and in-home surveillance: I understand you use cameras for peace of mind, and I respect that. But I want to make sure we maintain mutual trust. If there’s anything specific you need from me, I’d appreciate clear communication rather than real-time surveillance or constant critiques. It helps me focus on providing the best care possible. I have experience working with: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, rabbits, ferrets, lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, chickens, peacocks, parrots and birds of all kinds, horses, donkeys, ponies, mini horses, pigs, sheep, goats and if it’s not on the list?! I’m always willing to learn!!! I have private pet insurance with Pet Sitters Associates.

Georgia took good care of my cat, Eloise, while I was away. Eloise often sends mixed messages about wanting pets and Georgia handled it well. Eloise seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned.

Georgia is amazing - highly recommend! She is very responsive, kind, and reliable. I have two small dogs, one of whom is very naughty on leash, and I trust her completely to take care of them.

This was our first experience with Georgia, and she was just amazing! I am a pretty anxious pet "mum", but I learned quickly how trustworthy she is, even with complex situations. I loved the updates after each visit, and how she found time to know our cats' personalities and preferences. Now that we are back, I have the impression our kitties are really missing her. It's a relief to know there is such a competent and dedicated person to take care of our pets when we are away. Thank you so much!

Georgia did a great job walking our dog and keeping her happy. She was very alert to possible problems and kept in wonderful touch with us. Our dog is prone to stress, which makes her stop eating, but I think she may actually have gained some weight thanks to her good times with Georgia. We hope to have Georgia help take care of our dog and other critters for many years.
