“We travelled out to Carmel for a wedding, we brought our two dogs. We had Wanessa watch Henry and Ruby from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. They also were watching a couple of their regular customers dogs, they all got along. They had separate areas for dogs to have their alone time. Henry liked that since he was the oldest out of the dogs. After meeting Wanessa and her family and how they were with other pups, I was comfortable that my pups was in good hands. Wanessa and her husband kept us updated with pictures and videos. They were wore out when we picked them up.”

“The pups had a wonderful stay with Marion! She sent lots of photos and pupdates, and when I came to pick them up they were in no hurry to leave! They gave me a little hello wiggle and then took off in the yard to go play longer with their new friends lol I am so happy to have found a great sitter and will definitely be back!”

“Christina was great! She was very accommodating of my last minute request, and flexible with shifting drop off/pick up times. Luca seemed very comfortable staying with her and we got a lot of great photos and updates.”

“Melissa took great care of our baby while we celebrated our birthdays out of town for the weekend. She sent us pictures and videos and updated us every day. He had a fun weekend playing with her kiddos and the other doggies while we enjoyed ourselves elsewhere. If we go out of town in the future, we will definitely use her again.”

“This was the first time my dog stays in a sitter's home while I went on a 10-day vacation out of the country. I'm very pleased that Jesse and his son Christopher took good care of my dog. We were able to communicate during my trip using the Rover app and also I could see my dog on screen using Skype video call. Thanks to Jesse and his family, now I feel more comfortable leaving my dog behind when I'm out of town.”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with one since I was six, and that bond taught me how much care and attention our furry friends really need. I also spent four months volunteering at a shelter as part of a school project, where I learned even more about caring for dogs. That experience only deepened my passion for making sure every pup gets the love and walks they deserve. I’m currently a student on summer break, so I have plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. Aside from the occasional golf tournament usually twice a month that’s around 6 days total. I’ll be spending most of my time in Monterey. If you’re heading out of town for a few days, I’d love to help take care of your dog. I’m reliable, flexible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals! When caring for pets, safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure to follow any specific routines or instructions provided by the owner whether it’s feeding, medications, or walking preferences. In your home, I respect your space and keep things clean and calm to make sure your dog feels comfortable and secure. I always check for anything that could be unsafe, like open gates or small items they could chew on. I treat every pet like they’re my own giving them lots of attention, a safe environment, and a routine they can rely on.

“Shannon took great care of Odin while we were away. She kept us updated on how he was doing and even sent pictures throughout the day. We are so happy to have found her. We will definitely book again in the future!”

“Tanya took wonderful care of our little mini goldendoodle for several nights. She sent tons of photos and it was clear my girl was well-loved and had lots of opportunities to play outside, play with toys, sleep in various sunny spots, and get some snuggles. Her house has a great location with a yard where Willow could get out her zoomies. Tanya’s dog welcomed our Willow and we received cute pictures of them hanging out together.”

About: I have a deep love and commitment to caring for pets of all ages — from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. My experience extends beyond simple companionship I provide the extra level of care that pets need to feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Through TrustedHousesitters, I cared for two elderly poodles who needed very attentive, daily support. This included: Administering medication on schedule Changing diapers and ensuring proper hygiene Providing gentle walks and exercise suited to their mobility level Giving them lots of patience, affection, and reassurance More recently, I have been caring for my own 15-year-old dog, who also requires diapers, arthritis-friendly walks, and daily medication. This personal experience has taught me how important it is to notice the small details in a pet’s behavior and to adapt care routines to their changing needs. At the same time, I also love looking after younger, energetic dogs. I enjoy giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise. With my large yard, they have space to run freely and burn off energy in a safe environment. What Sets Me Apart Specialized Senior Pet Care: Comfortable and experienced with diapers, medications, and gentle senior routines. Love for Energetic Dogs: Young, active pups get the playtime, attention, and exercise they crave. Medication & Hygiene Management: Skilled at handling the practical needs of pets with health concerns. Big Yard for Play: A safe and spacious place for dogs to run, play, and feel at home. Personal Experience: As the owner of a senior dog, I understand the emotional and practical sides of pet care. Pet care is naturally part of my everyday life. I recently took care of my own senior dog, who recently died with 15 years old, which means I’m very used to structured routines such as medication schedules, diaper changes, gentle walks, and lots of affection. This has made me highly organized and attentive to the needs of pets throughout the day. Because I work from home, I’m able to dedicate plenty of attention to the pets I look after. I take time for: Morning walks or playtime to start the day with energy Midday check-ins for feeding, potty breaks, or medication Afternoon play or exercise in my large yard for younger dogs who need to run and burn energy Evening care with feeding, medication, short walks, or calm cuddle time — especially for senior pets who need a softer pace On weekends, I usually spend extra time outdoors, and I love to bring pets into this routine — whether that’s gentle strolls for older dogs or active play for younger ones. In short, pet care isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s already part of my daily rhythm. In My Home: Pets staying with me enjoy a safe, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment. My large yard gives dogs plenty of space to run and play freely, while always staying secure by my watch. Inside, pets are treated like family. They’re allowed to relax comfortably, have cozy resting spots, and receive lots of attention throughout the day. I keep a close eye on them to make sure they are always safe, whether they are playing outdoors or resting indoors. Senior pets have extra care, with easy access to water, and a calm space to rest without stress.

“Celine is excellent! Duke Johnson is a big boy, and some people would be hesitant to take care of him. Not Celine. She was patient with him (Duke can be a little needy). She took him on plenty of walks, getting him the fresh air and exercise he needed. She also sent pictures, communicating enough that I felt updated on how Duke was doing, but not so much that I felt annoyed. Duke was obviously very happy spending time with her, and I would definitely book her again without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend booking Celine if you need someone to look after your pet! 🐾”

“Elena took care for my mini-schnauzer for 4 days and everything was absolutely amazing! I received lovely daily updates and pictures, and Mikki looked calm and happy when I was picking him up. Thank you very much! Next stay is already booked!”

“Asta took such great care of Turbo! Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated the photo and text updates throughout his stay - it gave me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend Asta for anyone looking for a kind, attentive, and reliable sitter!”

“Kelly is the best dog sitter we’ve ever had!! Our pup was so spoiled with hikes, family play time, plenty of window watching, and he was even serenaded by her sons playing violin! Her fenced in backyard was perfect for outdoor time and our active Brittany spaniel absolutely loved the daily walks. Kelly was very attentive to our conversations beforehand and even set up a little window watching area for bird watching during the day. Kelly had excellent communication while we were away. It was always a delight getting a photo update from her as a little reminder that our dog was in great care. Thank you so much Kelly for doing this job so well! We appreciate you and your family! Our dog Elvin was sad to leave your house!”

“Nina was an amazing sitter for our dog. To begin, the big, grassy backyard was a great selling point for me since our dog loves to be outside laying in the sun. She enjoyed hanging out with Nina's dog and we received at least one picture every day that we were gone. The kids really missed their dog so this was a really nice touch. Nina was even able to give our dog her medication (an eye drop) which is sometimes a challenge for us. We were so happy to find Nina and would definitely call on her again when the need arises. Thank you, Nina!”

“Everything was great. We had to postpone to another day due to weather and Kristin was flexible and understanding. Great communication before and during. Kristin sent pics of our dog and he seemed happy!”

“Athena was great with my dog, Donner! She was able to watch him with only a few days notice. Took him on walks and updated us with pictures. It was so nice for Donner to get all the attention being the only dog there. I will definitely be booking Donner for another stay in the future. Thank you so much Athena and Will for giving Donner the best care while we were on vacation!”
