I've spent years working with a trainer to help build trust and work through these but it means there are some unbreakable house rules. On top of this, Marty is really smart and does what she can to punk people she thinks don't know the rules. My husband and I could tell just by our dog's behavior upon our return that Zoe handled these guidelines well with lots of care and compassion. Marty adored her and was sad to see her go. We took somewhat of a "risk" hiring Zoe as our previous dog sitter backed out a few days before an off the grid extended backpacking trip. We left detailed instructions on the house and dog and who to contact if a variety of situations arose. There was a severe water line break and Zoe was able to follow the procedures I left for her and take care of it quickly before it caused damage to our house and belonging. We were also a little anxious to know how things went when we got back to cell service and were relieved to find lots of cute dog photos to ease our anxieties that Zoe had sent throughout the week! About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and have been pretty much in charge of the playing and walking of my 4 dogs since 2020. I have dealt with puppies, middle aged dogs, and have taken care of an old dog that’s legs stopped working for days while his parents were out of town. I have trained puppies to do basic tricks like sitting, staying, laying down, and rolling over. I am a college student at UC Santa Barbara and have classes throughout the week, but they give me flexibility throughout most of my days. I am most open Thursday - Sunday, and I miss my own dogs and cats soo much so I am so excited to walk and see pets again! I am very respectful of client’s homes and I will make sure the pets don’t disturb the cleanliness of the house because of me. I have lots of experience walking dogs on the leash so there will be no risk of me letting go and the dogs running off. I am responsible with doors and I check gates and fences to make sure the pets will not get out.
