“Annmarie did a phenomenal job with my dog Xena! Her dogs were very friendly, and got along great. I came with very short notice, and she was very attentive, flexible and and communicative, and I'd 100% go back to her in the future. Extremely happy with my experience!”

“The BEST pet sitter!! She takes the best care of my fur baby even with his tummy issues & fussy eating & makes me feel so comfortable leaving him there. He’s always so happy when we get there and when I pick him up I can tell he’s had a blast playing with her pups!! 10/10 recommend!!”

“My dog loves to stay with Tory, and she provides updates on how my dog was doing everyday as well as many cute pictures! We highly recommended Tory as as she always does a great job! Thank you!!”

“This was one of the best experiences I have had while using rover. She regularly sent updates and pictures which was great to see. Her and her family took wonderful care of my dog, taking him on many walks, playing, and just relaxing. I cannot put into words how much peace of mind it provided and how sweet it was that they cared for my senior dog in all the perfect ways. Thank you so much!”

“Joshua watched Stella for 4 nights. He took wonderful care of her. We had a great experience. He sent daily updates and gave us such peace of mind during my daughter’s wedding week. Reliable, communicative and trust worthy, I truly appreciate all his help and would highly recommend him.”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
“Judith was great and very accommodating for a last minute request. Judith sent photos and videos of Scooby enjoying himself and making himself at home. Scooby slept for 10 straight hours after returning home, he had a lot of fun with the other dogs and kids in the home! Scooby made some new friends and would definitely bring Scooby back!”

“We cannot day enough about Brittany and how wonderful she is. Our dogs had a blast running around playing all weekend. She picks up on their unique personalities and quirks which lets us know how attentive she is!”

“This is my first time using Rover and I am so glad I found Britnie! She spoiled my pup just like at home, and my pup was able to play all day. Pretty sure she didn’t want to go home! I got daily detailed updates and pics of my Bella having fun. Britnie definitely seemed to treat Bella like her own, which I appreciated greatly. She worked with Bella and her sometimes odd habits, so I knew she was in good hands. The next time I head out of town, I’ll definitely be booking with Britnie again!”

“Bailey provide me w just enough updates and pictures to keep me well informed of my Eva’s fun stay w her two new friends. When traveling I will again use Bailey as my 1st choice to watch my Eva. Tom Williams”

“Madison and Brandon were amazing dog sitters for Teddy. They were very patient and worked with him to get to know their three dogs. Very responsive and attentive to Teddy.”

“Mary & her husband were fantastic! I could tell that Missy would be well cared for and would enjoy her stay. Mary sent me pictures of their activities throughout the day. I felt very comfortable and at ease, knowing that my little girl was safe and in good hands. I definitely will pick Mary again!”

“Kate has watched Rue a few times now and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She really loves Rue and will make sure she is comfortable for her entire stay. Prior to Katie, Rue would stay at kennels and come home disheveled and typically with kennel cough or some other ailment. When she comes home from staying with Katie, she is in perfect condition, happy, and calm. Katie has been a huge help and such a positive in Rue’s life!”

“Kristen was wonderful with our girl Annie. This was our 1st time using Rover and boarding her in a private home. She was so much more rested and less stressed than the previous kennel we had used. Kristen kept us informed with pictures and updates. We will definitely book with her again.”

“She is really awesome! It is my first experience and my dog needed boarding immediately because of my business travel. but she responded very quickly even if I requested about 7am. It was very appreciated. She also has a dog and cat. They were very nice to him.( Thank you guys!) Her house condition was good enough for boarding dog. Clean and organized. I am so happy to find perfect place at once. I think I am lucky.”

“Sandra took good care of Jasmine for 2 nights. Jasmine was very happy and they had fun together. I appreciated the extra time we needed when the snow delayed our pickup time.”

“Jessica and Ben do such a good job watching our dog! She is so flexible with scheduling and always sends us pictures at least once a day to keep us updated! Cannot recommend them enough!”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
