Buddy is an older dog and has some extra needs, including medications, and all his needs were well taken care of. Buddy came home happy and mellow as usual. About: Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m 23 years old and have been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I graduated high school in 2021 and spent three years attending Folsom Lake College. My journey with pet sitting started when I was just 11, and since then I’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even every kind of farm animal you can think of! Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. My aunt bred German Shepherds for 30 years, and growing up around them (and being part of their training) gave me a deep appreciation for the breed and for dogs in general. While I’ve always had a soft spot for big dogs, small dogs have completely won me over too. I’ve cared for pups of all sizes and ages, from helping deliver newborn litters to supporting senior dogs well into their golden years.I also have experience with cats and kittens. Even though I’m allergic and can’t have one of my own, I absolutely adore them and love any chance I get to care for them. At home, I have a 12-year-old Jardine parrot named Wasabi, who is my little best friend, and a 4-year-old Russian tortoise named Yuno, who definitely keeps things interesting with her spunky personality. Outside of pet care, I work full-time as a police dispatcher in Sacramento County, primarily on weekday nights. Because of that, I’m most available on weekends, but I’m happy to offer weekday morning or afternoon drop-ins when needed. Elaine is a special person that truly understands dogs. This was the first time we left our 4 year old Marley in a home with multiple dogs. We did a meet and greet with Elaine and felt very comfortable that she understood his uneasiness with new people and new dogs.
