“Michelle is amazing, we are so lucky to have her. She has helped us out immensely last minute and takes the best care of our Isla. Having her puts our minds at ease that Isla is safe and well taken care of. Michelle is the best!!”

“Shannon took such wonderful care of Pepper during her stay. From the moment I felt at ease knowing she was in a safe, loving and attentive environment. This was Pepper’s first long time stay with Shannon and she created a comfortable, and caring environment for Pepper. She kept me updated with thoughtful messages, photos and videos. This made me at ease too seeing Pepper relaxed, content and getting plenty of attention. When I picked up Pepper, she was her happy self which tells me she received good quality care. I am so grateful for Shannon’s kindness and her love for animals. Pepper will definitely be staying with her again. Thank you Shannon for taking good care of Pepper and treating her like your own.”

“Melissa and her family and pets were wonderful and took excellent care of my dog when I had to go out of town. She is easy to communicate with and sends regular updates which is appreciated. I can highly recommend her.”

“Alexa is an angel! We have two dogs whom are used to being with my husband and I 24/7 because we both work remotely. We are very selective in who we have watch our boys while we are gone (typically family or friends would come to our home and stay with them)… but we moved from Southern to Northern California so need to figure out an alternative. After searching Rover I came across Alexa’s profile and read each review and she stood out as someone that could be a good fit for my boys. I reached out and was immediately impressed with Alexa’s responsiveness, and decided to proceed with an introduction. It couldn’t have gone better. Alexa had clearly studied my dogs profiles to get familiar with the basic needs of each and I appreciated the questions she asked to understand their normal routine. Within just a short time of drop off, Alexa sent an update with pictures which allowed us to see that they were making themselves right at home and enjoying play time and snuggles. My Boys looked relaxed, content, and exercised. I’ll definitely book with Alexa again!”

“Walee was awesome!! She sent me pictures everyday and she cared for my pet as if it were her own. She took him to the river and on long walks everyday so he was good and tired! I will forever use walee when I go out of town!”

“Amy & Justin gave our German Shepard an incredible experience. He was well taken care of, loved, and enjoyed his time with them and their dog River. Would book again in a heartbeat!”

“I rarely give top marks (5 Stars) to anyone; however, Sara went above and beyond to care for our girls: Luna and Luci Lu! We had just moved into the area, and needed to find a new sister fast. Sara came through with flying colors! Thank you so much for being there for us.”

“Ruchi and Nitin were great and accommodated us on short notice for an overnight stay. They have two sweet dogs that they introduced slowly to ensure everyone got along well. They also provided plenty of pictures and updates. Jackson came home happy and exhausted. Thank you!”
“Barbara and family was very kind and welcoming to my dog. She asked all the questions that made me feel like my girl was going to be well taken care of even to the extent of switching her sleeping habits to my dog’s. I highly recommend! Thank you so much for taking care of my girl!”

“Irina is great. We left Tara for several days with her, and Irina helped administer her medications and soak her paw for two days for some infection that was diagnosed last minute by our vet. She took Tara on many beautiful hikes and took really good care of her. We got Tara tired and paw infection was resolved as well. Irina was also flexible with Tara's commands in two different languages. We will definitely feel comfortable to use Irina's help again and we can highly recommend her.”

“I'm glad I found Michael and Patricia. Josie felt at ease with them right away so it made me feel good about leaving her with them. They are a wonderful couple who really care about dogs. I rarely go out of town, but if I ever need a sitter for Josie in the future, they'd be the ones I'd book a stay with.”

“Thank you to Michelle and David for watching Clover for the weekend. Clover got to sleep on a bed (instead of in her crate‐ yes, it was okayed!) and had a doggy friend her age to run around with. I think she enjoyed herself!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I grew up with dogs, including a Golden Retriever, and I've always had a soft spot for animals of all kinds. After settling down and starting our family, we were ready to bring a dog back into our lives, and in 2024 we adopted Izzy, our friendly 2-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer. Our family loves having Izzy around, and I would love the opportunity to give your dog the same kind of attention, affection, and care while you're away. I work from home, so your dog won't be spending the day alone. They'll get plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and love throughout their stay. We live in a clean, comfortable, family-friendly home on nearly half an acre with a fully fenced yard and a doggie door that gives dogs easy access to the yard throughout the day. Our home is welcoming to both kids and animals, and your dog will be able to enjoy the freedom to go outside, play, explore, or come back inside whenever they'd like. My husband and I were adventurous before settling down and starting our family so we decided not to jump into pet ownership until more recently. Now after having kids, we want to make sure that we are all fully ready to jump back into the long term commitment of pet ownership. In the meantime though, I have a lot of love to share and I would adore hosting your pet. My home is in town but offers nearly a half acre of fenced in yard space. I am happy to keep your pet indoors, outdoors, or a mix. Whatever you and your pet prefer, I can accommodate. I work from home and can give your pet lots of attention throughout the day. Please feel free to call me, swing by for a tour, and feel comfortable knowing that your treasured family member(s) is safe here with me. I work from home and am available every day, all day, to meet your pet's needs. I have a large fenced backyard with a doggie door for potty breaks and play time. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Because I only host one dog family at a time, I can provide individualized attention and avoid the stress that can come with a home full of unfamiliar animals. We have a clean, non-smoking, kid-friendly home and a large, fully fenced yard. Our doggie door provides supervised-by-presence access between the house and fenced yard, giving your dog the flexibility to go outside for potty breaks or play without having to wait for someone to open the door. Izzy is friendly and enjoys having other dogs around, but I will always make introductions thoughtfully and pay close attention to each dog's personality and comfort level. I'll follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, sleep preferences, and any special instructions. You'll also receive daily photo updates so you can see how your pup is doing while you're away.
“Sharon and Albert were very caring and took to our Dash right away and made him feel right at home. They had multiple areas for dogs to hang out together, and toys to play with. They provided us with pictures that showed Dash was walked and well taken care of throughout our trip. We will definitely book with them again in the future!”

“Janice was an excellent sitter. My dog had a an unforeseen medical issue and Janice volunteered to take my dog to the veterinary clinic which was above and beyond expectations. Janice sent updates throughout the days my dog was in her care via pictures and short videos. I highly recommend Janice.”

“We will definitely be asking Cassidy to watch Chelly again!!! She came back so happy (and tired!) from all the walking, playing and getting pampered. Cassidy was so great about introducing our girl to her girl and made sure ours felt comfortable (she can be very needy) before we went away for a whole week. Cassidy's professionalism and sweet nature made our family feel completely secure in knowing she was in great hands while we were away.”

“Jena had our sweet Rocky for over 2 weeks during the holidays. It warmed our hearts to see him having such a wonderful time with her and her family. It’s so hard to find people you can trust to care for your pet, I’m so glad we found Jena ❤️”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
