My schedule is very open. After being able to transition from a high-stress career as a web developer, I’m super grateful for that! 💻 I code websites from time to time, and I have a couple passion projects that I’m slowly chipping away at, so I’ll typically do some reading and computer work throughout the day. Fortunately that gives me plenty of time and energy to devote to your dogs — they’re always my #1 priority. 🚙 Depending on how long your dog is staying with me and your location, I can usually offer a complementary pick up/drop off to make things a little easier on you.

I live in a 1400 square foot townhouse with lots of color and beautiful views. People have told me that it feels like a zen oasis, and dogs seem to really like it! 🐾 I currently have no animals of my own, and I only board one dog/family at a time, so you don’t have to worry about how your dog might get along with other animals in the house. 🌳 Unfortunately my backyard is not fenced. It's a beautiful grassy area that's perfect for potty and walks, but not a great place for fetch or off-leash play. I love to play with dogs inside my house, and I’m also happy to take them to a local dog park if they’re friendly. But if they’re very high energy and need to run in the backyard a lot, I’m definitely not the right fit, and I wish you luck in your search! 🏠 I also want to let you know that I have a couple small sets of stairs in my house (no more than 7 at a time). So if your dog is older and has mobility issues, I might not be the best option. But I do have a ton of experience carrying up to a 75 pound dog up and down my stairs, so I’m open to that if you have a senior dog and they’re willing to be carried. 🛋️ I usually like to allow dogs on the furniture and on the bed so they feel extra comfortable and at home. But if you’d rather me keep them off, just let me know and I can absolutely accommodate!

Information Alexa T. would like to know about your pet
- Are they potty trained? (Do they have any issues with marking inside?) - What’s their energy level typically like? - What's their usual routine? (Food, potty, medications, etc.) - Do they have any anxiety triggers? - If I go somewhere for short periods of time (running an occasional errand, etc.) would you prefer that they come with me in the car or stay at my house? - Are they able to easily get up and down stairs?
A typical day
What a typical day looks like really depends on the dog. I’ll find out from you what they’re used to doing, and I also like to feel out how much energy they have throughout the day to see what kind of stimulation they need. Typical activities can include: - Playtime where I get on the ground and have fun with them - Giving them their favorite bone or treat to enjoy - Relaxing / napping / resting - Getting some sun together on my balcony - Short to long walks around the neighborhood - Walks/hikes in nature, weather permitting (only if they’re up for it and if you’re comfortable with that) - Light training sessions if they enjoy that - Occasional field trips in the car with me (only if that’s something you’re comfortable with!) Basically, I’m adaptable — I want them to feel comfortable and at home, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing that they’re having a great time. I’ll do whatever I can to make that happen.

Love & care from my heart to theirs
Pet care experience
I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of dogs for over 20 years. With me, they get the best of both worlds: Responsibility and attention to detail, plus genuine compassion, care, and good vibes. 💎 It’s important to me that they get more than just a place to stay. I go out of my way to make sure every single dog feels happy and loved by giving them specialized, individualized, one-on-one attention that you won’t find everywhere. I’ve been told that I’m kind of a “dog whisperer.” ☀️ Dogs bring love and light to my life — and I’d like to think I do the same for them. 🐕 I’m open to just about all different breeds, ages, and personalities (with the exception of very high energy dogs which my unfenced backyard isn’t able to accommodate). Here are a few of my specialties: - Special needs: Such as behavioral issues, dietary requirements, separation anxiety, or other personality quirks - Extreme attachment to you: If your dog has a hard time opening up to new people, or even if you think there's no way they wouldn't miss you the whole time — give me a try, this is my specialty! - Senior dogs: I have a huge soft spot for older dogs. My house does have some stairs, but I can safely carry dogs up to 75 pounds if their mobility is compromised. 💜 I know how difficult it can be to trust someone else with a part of your family. I’ve been there before, and I hope you feel my sincerity when I say that your dog(s) will be in very good hands. I love what I do, and I love every single dog that I get to take care of. I hope yours is next!
Reviews

Alexa was great with George. She was so kind, patient and communicative throughout his stay with her. It provided us with great peace of mind knowing that he was cared for so well. We cannot wait to use her again without hesitation

Alexa is wonderful! I will definitely reach out again

Alexa was wonderful with our shy pup Ollie. She sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us such peace of mind. Ollie takes time to warm up to new people, and Alexa was incredibly patient and she let him come around on his own terms. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our little guy. Highly recommend Alexa!

Alexa was amazing with our pup Sadie! She took wonderful care and send many updates with pictures. Super grateful and would highly recommend!
