“Shawn dropped in to take care of our two cats multiple days during our long vacation. It was a huge relief knowing they were in good hands and getting photos each day. She followed our detailed feeding instructions that involved wet food with medication mixed in, and measuring out dry food on a scale. She also gave us detailed updates on their behavior and it was clear she really cared about their comfort and mood while we were gone. Thank you Shawn, would definitely book again!”

“Will is a very kind, considerate, caring, responsible, accommodating, cat lover and cat sitter. He warmed up to my hesitant, discriminating 12 yr old cat and won her over in just 1 day! (He was even able to get her to sit in his lap!) This is his 1st time taking care of my cat, “Sophie”, but I will hire him again, in a heartbeat!”

“Sabine was great. She took care of my big girl Maine Coon Suka. She was professional and you could tell she loves animals and that she new how to interact with cats. Suka came up to her and let her pet her on the meet and greet. I would hire Sabine again.”

I would call her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her services ! Thank you so much!”

About: I have experience caring for senior pets, including a 19-year-old dog and a 22-year-old cat, and know how to provide them with the extra love and attention they need. I’ve also looked after pets with unique challenges, like those who aren’t friendly with kids or other animals, as well as pets with conditions like deafness, blindness, or dementia. I always adapt to what each pet needs to make them feel comfortable, happy, and safe. I’m also used to managing multiple pets in one home and have cared for all kinds of animals—lizards, turtles, fish, and more. The only animals I don’t handle are snakes and spiders (they make me a little nervous), but other than that, I’m ready to help. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they’re well cared for. My experience with senior pets and animals with special needs sets me apart, and I’d love to help care for yours! As an 18-year-old high school senior, I’ve worked pet care into my daily routine by being available early in the mornings from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM and later in the afternoons from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays. On weekends, I’m more flexible and can visit between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. I’ve planned my schedule to make sure I can provide dependable care while balancing my schoolwork. Most visits are 15 to 30 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust for longer walks or extra playtime if your pet needs it—just let me know! When caring for pets in my clients' homes, the majority of visits include feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning litter, going for a walk, and playtime. I can also help with household tasks like bringing in mail and packages, as well as opening and closing curtains or turning lights on and off to make the home appear lived-in. Each visit is customized to meet the specific needs of your pet, whether it’s extra playtime, a longer walk, or special care for senior or special-needs pets. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at the same time if they live in the same household. At the end of each visit, I provide a summary of what happened and send multiple pictures of your pet so you can stay connected and know they’re well cared for while you’re away.

“Michael is wonderful! He’s super kind, & my cat loved him. He went above and beyond to make sure my cat was happy and comfortable while I was away! 10/10, highly recommend. :)”

About: I grew up as a horseback rider in New Jersey with cats and dogs always in my home. I have lived and dog walked/pet sat in cities such as San Diego, Chicago, Seattle, and Boston. I'm currently pursuing my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and wish to unify my love of working with older adults with my love for animals and their healing abilities! I'm currently attending school Monday to Friday, but am open to caring for your beloved pet(s) on the weekends from morning until night. Let's chat to see what works best for you and your schedule! I'm a diligent caretaker ready to follow instructions and requests within your fur baby's natural environment. I'm available to dog walk, pet sit, as well as house sit for your convenience and peace of mind.

“I feel so lucky that we found Ildi! She’s watched our little old dog Roxy the past 2x we’ve gone on long weekend trips and she’s been so great. I love getting cute photo and video updates! Our flight was canceled and we had to stay an extra day, but Ildi made herself available to take care of Roxy. With all of the stress, it was reassuring to know that Roxy was in good hands!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments for 25 years, starting when I was just a kid! Whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, administering medication, or giving baths, I treat every dog like part of my own family. Neighbors, friends, and clients have consistently trusted me to care for their pets with patience, reliability, and compassion. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with special needs, and I’m comfortable handling multiple pets at once. I strive to ensure each dog feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I work from home full-time, so pets that stay with me get attention all day long everyday. My schedule is very flexible for visits and walks, and I'll always prioritize what's best for your pups. Your pet's comfort and safety are always my top priorities. For house sitting, I respect and maintain your home as if it were my own—keeping your pet’s routine consistent and their environment familiar and stress-free. During boarding at my home, your pet will enjoy a calm, secure space with plenty of attention, outdoor time, and a clean environment that feels like a second home. For walks, I use will always use provided equipment and follow instructions as outlined. I'll tailor the pace to your dog’s energy level and needs. I always keep communication open and provide updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you're away. I live just off the minuteman path, so even dogs that require longer walks, less stimulation, or whatever other needs your pup may have will be taken care of. They'll be with my two dogs, Odis and Harper who are both very playful and will have your pup quite tired by the time you get them back.

About: Hello! My name is Mackenzie. I have always loved animals, and I'm currently enjoying life with my lovely Samoyed, Nymeria (Meri). I typically work in biotech but was just recently laid off, so I am free to return to Rover once again! This means I have a very flexible schedule to provide whatever pet care services you require. I am very detail-oriented and will always ensure I have the information I need to do the best job possible. Please let me know if you have any questions! I have just been laid off from my 9 to 5, so I am currently building a new schedule for the first time in almost four years. My typical routine that I will be working around is always a minimum of three walks a day for my dog. We live next to Fresh Pond, which is basically dog and nature paradise (miles of nature trails and many other animals if you are unfamiliar). I am very deliberate in creating a space that is clean and free of hazards. I think having my dog has been instrumental in making me more aware of every possible thing an animal could get into, and I am naturally very mindful of safety in general. I am respectful of other people's homes - always acting like you are in front of other people is honestly just good general life advice if you think about it.

About: I am currently Research Scientist in between jobs who has spent a lot of my free time volunteering and fostering for animal advocate organizations. My first job ever was dog-sitting for my neighbor's chocolate and yellow labs when I was 9-10 years old. I have also been a cat-sitter for several friends from people I worked with in research to neighbors throughout the years. I will be very diligent in your instructions and will give your pet unconditional love and attention while they are in my care. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine and because of my fur children am very comfortable with any medical and behavioral needs that your fur babies may have. This includes providing medicines orally and as injections. I look forward to babysitting your pet for you!! I will have flexibility to accommodate the care that your pet will need. I just ask that enough notice is given to I can rearrange my schedule. If you choose to have your pet stay with me, our apartment is 1300 sq ft and enough room for them to roam and make themselves comfortable. There is also a dog park associated with the building that can be used for quick potty breaks if needed. If you choose to have me come to your home, I have means of travel with car and public transport.

About: I had 3 family dogs growing up I had a huge part in taking care of. One of them required diapers in his old age that I managed as well. I used to watch after neighbors dogs and house sit in high school for dogs who required walking, medications, and feeding. They were mainly labs and golden retrievers. I got my own personal dog almost 2 years ago now when she was a puppy so I am familiar with all stages of dogs from puppy to old age! My current and previous personal dogs take/took pill medication every day as well. I currently work Monday-Thursday from 11-4. Outside of those hours I am free and very flexible with times. I also have my own car so I can drive or take your pet places if necessary. I live in an apartment building with a golden doodle of my own who is crate trained. When I am home she roams freely and we go on frequent walks along the alewife trail. I can care for pets as desired and fulfill any requests needed!

Samantha Ryann W.
“I’m happy to recommend my daughter, Sam, for pet sitting. She grew up with our family dog, Barley, and was a big help in caring for him especially in his later years when he needed more support and patience. She was never one to turn away from the hard parts of taking care of a pet. She helped with feeding, giving medication, keeping Barley company, and just being there for him when he needed a little extra comfort. She showed a quiet kind of empathy that really stood out, even when she was younger. She takes that same approach with any animal she looks after. She is gentle, responsible, and fully present. She pays close attention to what each pet needs and genuinely enjoys spending time with them. She doesn’t rush through anything, and she treats every animal with care and respect. What matters most to me is that she truly cares. You can teach someone how to feed a pet or follow instructions, but you can’t teach them to care the way she does. She’s someone you can absolutely count on to treat your pet like her own.”

May H.Star Sitter

“May took care of our cats. She sent very nice videos of them and took care of our mail and plants. We would definitely hire her again in the future.”

ILDIKO P.

Colin H.

Whether it’s going for walks, feeding, or just spending quality time, Colin puts his whole heart into it. I would trust him with any pet, any time — he’s truly a natural with animals.”

Mackenzie C.
“Mackenzie is one of my roommates, so I have seen them firsthand take care of their puppy for two months now. They are very good at training, maintaining a schedule and appropriately disciplining when necessary. In my opinion, they would be an excellent contribution to the Rover team.”

Natasha B.
“Natasha is one of the biggest dog lovers i know, and i know a LOT of dog lovers! She is great and caring with dogs and even helps rescue dogs from other countries. There is no one more trustworthy when it comes to caring for your animals.”

Cydney B.
“Cydney is an amazing sitter who took such great care of my cockapoo! She was incredibly attentive to his needs, made sure he got plenty of playtime and walks, and even kept me updated with amazing photos and messages.
