“Finn was wonderful with our senior dog during a recent evening we spent away. She dropped in on him to give him a walk, food, and some cuddles. She took her time to get to know him during a meet and greet and made us feel very comfortable she could drop in on him while we were away and he would be totally taken care of. Great communication and loads of pics/videos of our boy. Would definitely book again!”

About: I have loved pets from a young age. I’ve taken care of my dog since we have had him and I am now the mother of two cats! I’ve always loved animals and love caring for them! I work at the school board as an DECE so I am off for the summer and looking for something part time that I can do to help people out! I am available pretty much everyday! I am looking to take care of dogs out of clients homes and I will make sure that the animals are always in a safe environment and following guidelines set out by owners!

About: Growing up, my family was like a mini zoo! We had a wide array of pets, including dogs, cats, parrots, hamsters, and even chinchillas. This rich and diverse environment nurtured my deep love and understanding of animals from a young age. I have fond memories of our parrot, Polly, mimicking our cat's meow (I think mostly for fun), and our chinchilla, Chichi, running around like a little fluffy whirlwind. As a child, I was the go-to pet sitter for my friends and neighbors. Whenever someone needed help with their furry or feathered friends, I was always ready to lend a hand. I remember one time, I ended up pet-sitting three cats, two dogs, and a parrot all at once! It was a circus, but I loved every moment of it. This experience taught me lessons about the different needs and behaviors of various animals, shaping me into the compassionate and knowledgeable pet sitter I am today. I talk with almost every pet I see, and sometimes I think I can understand them (psst... they’re great conversationalists!) As a student with most of my lessons online, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time to your pets. My day is filled with virtual classes and study sessions, so I can easily integrate playtime, walks, and cuddle sessions with your furry friends into my routine so I can provide consistent, attentive care and ensure your pets get the love and attention they deserve throughout the day. In Your Home: • I stick to your pet’s regular schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime to keep their routine consistent • I keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos, so you know how your pet is doing • I maintain a cozy environment for your pet, providing them with plenty of love and attention and cleaning space after them in case of "emergencies" In My Home: •Your pet will enjoy a homey atmosphere, with lots of playtime and interaction in a safe and welcoming space • I tailor my care to match your pet’s needs and preferences, ensuring they feel at ease and happy • With my flexible schedule, I can accommodate your pet’s routine, including feeding, exercise, and downtime • I maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure your pet’s health needs are met, including any medications or special care

About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats, snakes and bunnies for many years. I have taken care of newborn puppies and helped train 2 service dogs. Right now, I own 2 dogs, so your pet will have a friend! Currently, I am still in high school, so I am not home from 9 to 3 on weekdays, but free all week over the summer. I do have a very flexible schedule. I have my G2 and a car. My grandmother lives next door and will hang out with my dogs, let them out and give them treats. To me, the most important part of taking care of someone's pet is to follow the rules and preferences of the owner. I always try my best to accommodate any needs or quirks. I have a very big fenced-in backyard that connects to my grandmother's place next door, who loves to give treats and pets!

“Behnaz has been walking my dog, Milo, since the end of May 2024. I am happy with her work. I can tell that she really cares about Milo and he looks forward to the daily walks. She lets me know when she is unable to walk Milo at the scheduled appointment time. I appreciate her professionalism. I highly recommend Behnaz.”

About: I've been around animals my whole life-my family regularly rescues and adopts stray cats and dogs, so I grew up helping care for them. Since I was 12, I've also been watching over pets for friends and neighbours. I've helped raise litters of kittens and understand the patience and attention animals need. I'm a student at the University of Waterloo with classes Monday to Thursday, so I'm free Fridays to Sundays. That's when I've got the time and energy to focus on giving your pets the attention they deserve! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'll follow your instructions, stick to their routine, and make sure they're secure and comfortable in their own space. I'll also make time for playtime and interaction to keep them engaged and happy while you're away.

About: Growing up with cats and dogs I realise what is needed to establish and maintain a trusting relationship with your pet. I know how important it is to respect their space while also engaging them with play, affection and care. With a flexible work from home schedule me and my partner are able to assist most weekdays mostly evenings and weekends for drop in visits. For pet day care and house boarding there is more flexibility. Just ask me about our availability and we'd love to work something out! Will follow your lead on the care that you require for your pet. Either in your home or ours I'll make sure your pets gets reliable care based on its needs.

At this point in my life i've had three dogs (african boerboel (childhood), belgian malinoise (current), french bulldog (current)), two rabbits (one currently), and a cat! I have dog sat on multiple occasions for friends and family and done fostering for the humane society (adopted the belgian after fostering) and am looking to expand my group of animal friends :D Currently I am working fully remote 9-5, and have the freedom (apart from meetings) to take time to spend with your furry friend throughout my day. The pets in my home are uncaged and free to roam around together as they are fully trained. I have two cats myself, Ozzy and Jasper, so I know how important it is to have a pet-sitter you can trust. I am calm, quiet, and patient, and I find it so rewarding earning the trust of a shy animal. I would be happy to spend time with your pet in your home, including brushing and playing with them, feeding, cleaning their dishes, and going for walks. “I had a wonderful experience with Adam walking my husky mix while I was away recently. My dog is very large, and can be a bit reactive, but Adam was amazing with him. It is clear that he takes so much joy out of the time he spends with the animals and providing them with the best care. I got a message each day, letting me know how the walk went and how my boy was doing, which I really appreciated. It was my first time hiring a walker and it couldn't have gone better. I will absolutely be using Adam next time I have to be away.”

Michelle S.
“Michelle Sipes is an extraordinary friend to animals, evidenced by their immediate trust in her. She has experience with varying dog behaviours and temperaments, demonstrating unconditional love, care, and attention for them. Many people like animals, but Michelle is exceptional: upon observing her treatment of animals over the years, I conclude that she views them as individuals, enjoys having fun with them, and ensures their physiological, emotional, and psychological needs are met. She has also cared for my cats while I've been away, and I would trust her to do this again any time. Further, she demonstrates general reliability, punctuality, and problem-solving. I hope you will consider her as an official Rover pet caregiver. Thank you for your time.”

“Heather is truly a natural with dogs! Her extensive knowledge and deep love for animals, especially dog, shine through in everything she does. Not only does she cuddle and care for my pups, but she also takes the time to walk, play, and even work on training with them. Heather is well versed in understanding allergies, sensitivities, anxiety and has years of experience with rescue dogs. What I appreciate most is her thoughtful updates and photo check-ins, which always ease my anxiety when I’m away. It’s clear that she treats my dogs like her own, and that kind of trust is rare. Heather is one of the very few people I fully trust with my little ones. I can’t recommend her enough!”

Elizabeth S.
“Elizabeth is exceptional at carrying for pets. She was the primary care giving for my rescue Mia last year for a month. Also throughout this year has taken Mia in several walks for me. Mia adores her and is always excited to hang out with her. My Mia as you know is a rescue and she is not easy to walk with other dogs around as she gets very protective of her person. Elizabeth is able to distract Mia and speak to her in a way that calms her down. So if you were to ask my opinion on Elizabeth’s ability to care for animal I’d say 100% she is amazing.”

Rebecca M.
“Rebecca is amazing!! She is really in tune with dogs and cats. I had a diabetic cat that needed insulin injected at specific times twice a day and she does an awesome job and shows so much love to them. Even with my rescue kitty who is afraid of everyone as a result of being in an abusive home. Rebecca was able to coax her out of her hiding place for a quick minute. She really loves all animals and it shows in how loving she is with them. I highly recommend her for pet care.”

Salma S.
“Salma is one of the best caregivers we've ever had for our dog. He isn't like most dogs and tends to be anxious and shy, but that didn't stop Salma from giving him the utmost love. Salma was incredibly patient towards Thor, our pup, and took the time to earn his trust at his own pace. Salma's calm energy, reliability, and attentiveness really stood out to us. Salma truly cares for any pet, and we always felt at ease when leaving Thor in such loving and capable hands.”

After a month of dog walking services by Andres, I couldn’t be more satisfied. My dog absolutely loves his walks. I highly recommend Andres to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. Truly a fantastic experience all around!

Jen is reliable and great with my dog, who can be reactive with other dogs. I receive regular updates and photos, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and attentive to walk your dog, go with Jen. I highly recommend her!

I always have Ankit take care of Marshall when needed. Ankit has been doing a great job everytime and I couldn’t be more happier. Marshall too loves Ankit’s company. He is very prompt with updates and responses. I will continue to work with Ankit especially with Marshall’s reactivity, I don’t think anyone else other than Ankit could do such a great job

We were so grateful to have Dave step in for a one-time walk with our dog, Rosie! They were incredibly responsive and accommodating to our last-minute request. We received a lovely update and a photo of Rosie enjoying their walk. HIghly recommend Dave for any dog walking needs.

Kayla was an absolute lifesaver! My original sitter cancelled last minute before my week-long trip, and I was so fortunate to find her on short notice. From our initial contact, she was incredibly responsive, asked thoughtful and thorough questions about Lily and Daisy's care for when I was away, and showed genuine curiosity about them. She was also wonderfully understanding and respectful of my concerns about them interacting with other dogs due to past negative experiences. Throughout my week away, Kayla was fantastic with communication, providing daily updates and plenty of photos. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Lily and Daisy were in the best hands. Kayla has definitely earned her place as my go-to sitter and walker – I can't recommend her highly enough.

Thank you Stephanie for taking such good care of Rio. He loves when you come take him on walks! Stephanie is punctual, checks in with updates and photos and is very reliable. Her flexible schedule works well for us and we appreciate that she is close by! She will take such great care of your pets!
