“Kristina was awesome to work with! She took our pup on long walks and sent loads of pictures. She communicated with us very quickly and sent updates on how he was doing. We felt he was well looked after in our absence. Thanks so much, Kristina!”

“We’re very happy with Juliet! We have two dogs with very different needs. Our 5-year-old struggles with anxiety, while our 11-year-old is slowing down with age. Juliet tailors her approach to make sure they're both comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We have complete peace of mind knowing they're in such capable and compassionate hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, patient, and caring dog walker!”

“Andrew did such a wonderful job walking our dog!! It was clear from the many photos we received that he and Frankie were always having a great time :) I would strongly recommend Andrew to anyone who needs someone to take good care of their pets, and I will continue using his services as long as I live here!”

About: I grew up on a hobby farm with sheep, goats, horses, cats and Siberian Huskies. I have had cats all my life and I have a 3 year old miniature wiener dog named Dottie. My yard is fully fenced. Pets are family and I look forward to caring for yours. I’m off evenings and weekends but work during the week. I still am able to pet sit during the week by providing walks in the morning, around noon hour then again in the evenings. My yard is fully fenced and home is baby gated so that pets don’t have full roam of the home or stairs. I have no children and my dog is friendly with other dogs and is fixed and fully vaccinated.
About: Since I was born, my family has owned dogs. Growing up, I had two big dogs, a Husky, Collie mix names Fisher and German Shephard, Rottweiler mix named Sam. Our next pup was a mutt named Bolt that we had rescued from the Highway up in Northern Muskoka. She was a small dog with a Boxer, Pug and Terrier mix. It wasn't until 2016 when I saved my first cat from being hit by a car, Mango, that I was fully taking care of my onw pet. To date, we now have a Husky Australian Shephard puppy named Luna, and Mango and another little black kitty named Jolene. I also live with a Rottweiler Lab mix named Poppy, who is such a sweetie, and a crazy ginger kitten named Hippo. I am well versed in dog and cat handling, and will take extra care and time with your pets. There is no limit to the amount of love they will receive while in my care! In my house currently, we have three cats and a dog. I would say that pet care is a major priority in my day. Feeding, walking, cleaning up after and caring for our babies is absolutely part of my daily life. I will ensure your pets are handled with the highest professional care. They will have a constant eye on them so long as I am caring for them. They are my top priority and I will ensure that they are safe during walkings, feedings, play and cuddle time. I take pet enrichment very seriously and will ensure your pet is sleepy at the end of the day.
About: I have been a loving pet owner since I was a child. Recently I have enjoyed dog sitting for friends and family. Love doing it. I'm semi retired and looking to fill in some time during the day. I'm reliable and would enjoy the outside exercise. I've owned both big and small dogs. . I do have a fenced in yard with a sliding door access. I currently do not have any animals so I can give your dog complete attention.
“Alice needed a male figure since she had one growing up and no longer does. When I come home, Alice is much more calm than she has been in a long time. So glad Walter was able to give her the exercise and play time she needs :) Thank you!”

“Thanks so much for being able to walk the girls with such a short notice. It’s wonderful to have reliable people in our neighborhood. Not only do I walk their dog Cooper on Rover but now they also are providers. They sent great photos and it’s clear our dogs enjoyed their time with David and Jenna.”

“Meg was a wonderful dog walker for my dog Farley. He is usually quite shy with strangers, but he was quite comfortable with her. Meg is very reliable and punctual and I appreciated her daily updates on their walks. I would highly recommend Meg for anyone looking for a responsible, reliable, and loving dog walker.”

“Keyla was on time and so friendly to both of our dogs. Archie took right to Keyla with over excitement jumping, she immediately met Archie at his level and gave him lots of love! Love the rover card so that you know the route they take! Even though this was just a meet and greet, Keyla was comfortable and asking questions about likes and dislikes of our dogs. Definitely will be booking more walks for Archie and puppy visits for Ruby with Keyla! Thank You”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brantford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
