About: I have been a foster dog mom for 8 years taking on everything from puppies with parvo, to dogs with all sorts of emotional issues. I have had many dogs in the past including chihuahuas, beagle, pitbulll, border collie and german shepards. Me and my husband lost our beautiful beagle to cancer at the age of 13.5. We would love to host and spoil your fur baby as we did with ours. Administering medication is no issues if needed. We moved to Victoria so our boy could retire in style and oh did he! We just loved him that much, we wanted to show him what living the best last years of his life would be like. We have a cozy space enough room for your pup to spend the night when their humans need to be elsewhere. We travel a ton and know exactly how stressful it is to trust someone with your furbaby. We will provide a peaceful and calm environment with lots of love and fun, We like to go on lots of walks, but also love to hang out at home. Outside of travel we hike, go camping, hang out at the beach. We recently relocated to Nanaimo! Me and my husband work from home, so we will be with your best friend 24/7. I have the ability to take you pup on frequenty potty breaks if that is necessary. We are very outgoing outdoorsy people and love to go for long walks, and hikes on the weekend. This includes sometimes a minimum 10km/day. We would love to bring your furry friend with us! Please ensure you pack your harness for the best experience possible! (This is a requirment) Bookings over 1 week require a day care or boarding trial first to ensure your pet is the right fit for us. Please note we do not accept doodles at this time. We provide a calm and safe space for your pup. I have obedience traning experience, puppy to senior experience. We live in a house with a fully fenced yard lots of space for fun. We also have a big field near us where we like to go play frisbee+ We have crate training experience. Dogs are allowed to snuggle on the couch or bed if they would like. Lots of pets and treats will be had to make them feel safe while in a strangers home please pack the treats and chews! No reactive dogs as we have a sweet puppy who would love a playmate.

About: We have had pets our entire life. Now retired and travel a few months a year, so currently without a pet because of our travels. Missing the love of our own pets (Scruffy lived to 17 and Cedes lived to 16). So we have decided that the love of your pets, would be lovely and would benefit all involved. We live 2 blocks from the beach, which gives the dogs a great run and or swim permitting of course :) My wife and I are both retired and walk to the beach everyday, would be nice to have a dog to walk with us. For the evenings it would be nice to cuddle up to a dog or cat. We live on the bottom floor of a pet friendly building, with access to a yard. We do have a wrap around deck with a 2 foot brick wall/planter that is gated to large partially fenced yard. Pics attached. We both have knowledge of caring for both dogs and cats.

About: Now certified in DOGSAFE First Aid and CPR training. CPS-DW Certification for Pet Sitter and Dog walking courses. I CAN ALSO PROVIDE DAY CARE IN YOUR HOME FOR $40 (UP TO 8 HOUR STAY). I have completed several training classes including reading dog body, reducing stress in dogs and cats and mental stimulation tactics. I have been surrounded by pets my entire life. Previously i have been blessed with a Persian cat, a Sheltie, Terrier, Shepherd cross with a whippet (yes beautiful mix), two Golden Retrievers and several other cats. I Also currently volunteer at Alberni SPCA. I lost my 12 year old Golden last year 😥, and cannot emotionally commit to own another dog, so the next best thing for me is to dog sit your fur kids and volunteer my time at the shelter. I devote my volunteer time to snuggling cats and dogs, as well as providing wellness to dogs through walks, positive reinforcement training and cleaning their kennels. I have also taken care of chickens!! I work remotely and have a reliable vehicle so provided you have good wifi for my remote work, my schedule can be tailored to your needs! Tell me what you need and we can work with your schedule. I can come to your home for walks on a schedule or on the fly, drop in to snuggle your dog, cat or other animals including chickens! (Well i may not snuggle your chickens)🐔 My service provides daycare or overnight stays at your residence. This provides a stress free way for you to leave your fur kids, knowing they have the comforts of home.

About: Hello! I have been an animal lover all of my life, I have a particular love for cats and dogs and have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own! I have a kind and compassionate nature and my goal in life is to pet as many dogs as possible. I have a soft spot for cats and would be happy to do drop on visits with playtime, feeding and litter box cleanings as well. If your cat likes to be walked, I can do that too! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends as well as earning your trust. Lastly I promise to treat your furry friends as if they were my own. If you have any questions feel free to ask! ( as a side note I can also feed, water and collect chicken eggs while you are away on vacation) My availability varies week by week, upon requests I can discuss availability and determine if I would be a suitable sitter for your pets. I do have a vehicle and can accommodate multiple drops ins during the day. In a clients home I would make sure I am caring for the animal as to not disrupt their normal routine. If a cat is sat at my home they will have their own kitty paradise in a spare room along with their food, water, litter. This is to ensure a low stress environment for all involved.

About: I have 10 plus years experience owning a dog and dog sitting for family and friends dogs. My dog is very active so I ensure we get out for 2 shorter walks each morning and evening to do their business and a longer afternoon walk rain or shine. We have had many great experiences having dogs stay with us. Must get along with our dog and be good with kids (we have 3 young kids). Dogs must be potty trained and adaptable to staying in our home (unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs with anxiety/ separation anxiety as we have kids and a dog of our own and do not have the capacity to attend and spend too much time comforting extra attention). Work casually. I work around my partners schedule. I sometimes work evenings and weekends. I try not to book work if we have dogs staying with us to focus on the dogs. Between both of us someone is always home with the dogs. Semi fenced yard. If your dog is larger and or tries to escape they may be able to jump over the gate. Our dog never tries to but we usually take dogs we are caring for on leashed walks for the outside business. Trail walks in afternoon (prefer off leash but can do leashed walks if required). Cannot walk a larger dog that pulls and tugs on leash as I cant keep control of those dogs. We often allow dogs on couch and have had some on our bed - no longer allowed as we've had accidents and no longer can accommodate your dogs on our beds. Please send their own dog bed.

About: Being the owner of a current senior dog (have had him since he was a puppy), I understand the needs of a dog (or cat) of all ages. I am very attentive, and have a knack of picking up on an animals needs. Also being a past cat owner (passed of old age), I am also skilled with felines. Pets are not just a family member as their needs can sometimes exceed our own. I am dedicated to animal care, and have been skilled in it for my entire life, with attentiveness, time, good energy and the willingness to do what it takes to make sure an animal is as comfortable and happy as it can be! Other than attentiveness, time and (obviously) love, I would appreciate an in-depth conversation with each owner on what their routine, care system and behaviours of their pet is.

About: I grew up on a farm with multiple house pets & got my first dog at 15. I hike with my dogs every weekend with long walks during the week. I got into pet sitting after I dog sat for friends and family for years. I have experienced with multiple different behavioural and medical needs (pets in diapers, needles for diabetes, heart medications, reactive large breeds, etc) & a wide range of experience caring for different types of animals including cats, dogs, ferrets, sugar gliders, farm animals, etc. Growing up on a farm, I have experience caring for larger animals as well. I treat each animal like my own and can cater to the needs of each individual pet. I work as a homeless outreach worker for CMHA. My husband is a car salesman at Van isle FORD. I like to let my pets out at least every 2 hours, but we also spend lots of time outside. I spend most my time outside of work with my dogs, going on hikes, walks, swims or participating in one of my favourite sports. I have a large 2 story home so there’s lots of room for animals if they are inside. If they aren’t, that’s okay too. I live on 3/4 of an acre and have a fully fenced yard with two separate spaces if there’s multiple pets. I have 2 amazing dogs at home - one who loves to have some company, and although the other one rules the house, she steers clear of other pets. My cat is basically a dog, he’s the best.

About: I am always thrilled when I get to spend time with and care for animals since I don’t have my own. I have pet and house-sat for lots of friends and family which is always a treat. When I was a nanny I cared for two families’ young puppies and a landlord’s senior cat who needed injections twice daily and IV fluids. I am attentive and will organize my day around your pet’s needs. I’m a big fan of daily walks and lots of cuddles. I have a reliable car and I don't mind driving to nearby towns around Nelson. I will always prioritize your pets and give them my undivided attention. When I am petsitting I try to make them feel as safe and cared for as possible. I spent a lot of time with them and try to replicate their routine as closely as possible.

About: We are a Young active family with plenty of yard space. Living in a rural setting which backs on to green space with abundant trails for dog walking. Quiet home with my husband, young playful black lab and kitty. We love animals and would love to help care for a well behaved pet. I am a nurse working with seniors in our community and Evan is a fishing guide during the summer season. We have both come from homes that love animals, especially dogs. We actively work with our lab to get him to be the most well behaved doggy on the block by regular exercise and training to do tricks. We love going out on nice long walks and playing out in the yard. Our pup would also love a companion to play with.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I am gentle with pets and pets usually love hanging out with me . I am working full time and available on weekends or statutory holidays. I can also be available on Friday evenings if needed . . . I will follow pet owners instructions about the schedule of their pet. I will keep in mind the safety and sanitation of pet owners home
