About: I have been pet sitting on and off for the past 15 years. I have looked after cats and dogs mostly. I have a busy household and a dog of my own and aside from my part time job, I'm looking for some side work that I know would be fun and fulfilling for me. I love playing with animals and am usually the first one to ask if I can pet someone's dog. Whatever your needs are, I can take care of them for you and your furry family members. I work part time and my hours are not super consistent. I do book my schedule in advance so it it pretty easy to figure my availability in advance. I can see if I can work with a time that suits you! I can't currently board dogs or cats in my own home at this time as my dog is reactive to other furry animals. I am available for home visits/play time and walks when it suits my schedule. I will only leave for a maximum of a few hours at a time to run errands and small gigs *unless the animals cannot be left alone. In that case, adjustments are made. Your pet(s) are always in my best interest. I live on an acreage and have 3 very friendly dogs who love new friends. We go on several walks/adventures a day and the dogs are supervised when together at all times. I also have three cats but they are well-behaved/trained and used to having new dogs in the house. Like my dogs, they are very friendly and social. If I do care in your home, my animals will stay at my home with my partner, unless your dog would like a friend or two - in that case, my dogs would love to join!

I also have my own dog that would love to make some new friends, but if your dog does not like other dogs that is okay too! Can also go for walks over 30 minutes if need be. Rain or shine as well. I have experience administering medications and injecting insulin/needles. I am also a certified Veterinary Assistant. I am Currently working as a part-time veterinary assistant, I do not have a set schedule but only work 2-3 days a week(12-18 hours total). I offer loving and reliable drop-in or overnight visits to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. We live in a quiet residential neighbourhood on a 0.25 acre property with a fully fenced backyard. I have 2yrs. experience as a volunteer shelter walker. Assisted in enrichment & care within shelter dog programs. Animal Kind oriented. Family & shelter partnership supported by Cowichan Canine Training & Behaviour Ltd. I am a part time Landscaping maintenance contractor. I have spent almost my entire employment history working outdoors in all weather conditions. Flexible schedule with intent to provide & accommodate canine/clients needs. Canine welfare & enrichment focused to give dogs & the clients the best care possible. I spend average 3-4hrs. of mixed interactive engagement with my own rescues. Combo days include attention time to each individual animal as well as mix of walking, training/games, & toy play. Have fully fenced backyard & have multiple leashes/harness/baskets/gentle leaders.

About: In my home I’ve always grown up having pets so pet care has become a passion of mine to make sure they have the best care. Over the years I’ve owned cats, dogs, fish, bearded dragons, hamsters as well as Guinea pigs! I do have the most experience with cats and dogs though. I currently own a Pomeranian, a German shepherd, a chihuahua and a boxer! I currently work full days Monday, Wednesday and Fridays in Shawnigan lake but looking to fill my mornings/evenings on Tuesday and Thursdays as I only work 4 hours those days!
