“Shane was a gift and a blessing to our family. We were left with a last minute situation to find care for our Australian Shepard, Lucy. With no time to prepare Lucy suffered from unexpected anxiety. Shane was so patient and knowledgeable. She helped Lucy through her anxiety and by the end of their week together I have no doubt that they bonded forever. I would, without a doubt, recommend Shane as a safe, loving home to board your pet.”

“Overall amazing service, she was able to get us in on short notice as well as accommodating to our last minute changes. We were kept in the loop and received updates. Our pup cleo was over the moon happy! Thank you again!”

“Linda was so great with our dog, Rudy. She sent us updates and Rudy had a lovely property run and roam around. He was well-cared for and came back to us a happy and tired pup.”

“Glory loves going to Danielle’s and having the chance to play with Gibuu. Danielle works on training points with Glory so she comes home even better than when she left!”

“Todd had the best time staying with Lindsey! He was well cared for while we went on a long holiday. Had so much fun playing with the families other dogs. Came back better trained than we sent him! Will happily send our pup to stay again!”

“Our 13 year old Ruby stayed with Maryanne overnight. Maryanne sent text and photo updates to let us know the dog was doing alright. Ruby enjoyed the backyard with their dog. Unfortunately, Ruby made a mistake on the area rug! So sorry about that.”

“Tiana was excellent with Finn! He had so much fun with her dogs and she has a great outdoor space for them to play and run around! She was constantly updating us with photos which made us feel great about being away as we knew he was so well taken care of! Will definitely use her again and Finn will be so excited to return 😁”

About: I have had a dog or taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Family, neighbours and friends have all relied on me to help take care of their pets for many years. I am a huge animal lover and a health care worker and will always provide the best and safest care for your pup. Recently I have fostered some dogs through a local rescue and helped them find their new home. I have learned alot about behaviours and training with these pups. We love to play in the yard or go for walks, and have lots of snuggles on the couch :) I currently work part time so have lots of time available to spend with your dog! My flexible schedule allows me to board your pet overnight any day of the week, or drop in for visits/walks. I have a fenced back yard and two small dogs to keep your fur baby company! Your dog is welcome to treat our home as their own and I will give them lots of love and be devoted to their happiness and well being while you are away.
“Andrea and family were fantastic. Our dog Stu seemed to love being there as soon as he arrived and we had no concerns about leaving him. They took him on a big adventure walk to a beach and musts have given him a bath as he came back soft and smelling cleaner then ever. Would definitely send Stu back there if we need a petsitter again!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs, big and small. My dog has environmental allergies and I'm accustomed to giving medications and following a specific routine. I work from home on Monday and Friday and I am available on weekends. My dog goes for two walks per day and we walk in a safe walking area. Our home is especially good for small dogs. It has a nicely fenced back yard and a clean, comfortable space where dogs can relax and get the attention they deserve while you are away. I'm happy to send photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and well cared for. Our dog is the center of our home and I treat every dog I care for with the same love and attention.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
