About: I've always had dogs in my life, from tiny dachshunds to a great dane. I started a Rover account after we said goodbye to our beloved family dog, Mya, after 11.5 years of adventures together. I missed having a dog to share my love for an active mountain lifestyle with and encourage me to get outside in all types of weather. Soon after creating the account, I deactivated it to welcome a new member named Bailey to our family. Bailey is a 2 year old German Shepherd x Lab Retriever. She will be joining us on our walks so your dog must be okay with having another dog around, with high energy. I am comfortable with dogs of any age from puppy to senior and am regularly entrusted with caring for many friends dogs. While your dog is in my care, I'm happy to implement any training techniques you may be working on, including ecollar. If looking for full day care for your dog, and have any concerns about compatibility, please book a few days out so that our pets can have a chance to meet to ensure a good match before welcoming them into our home. I am an active person and love spending time outdoors, especially with the company of a furry friend. I currently work on a very casual basis (mostly just Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons - off throughout summer) and therefore have availability and flexibility throughout the day play with your pup, offer pee breaks, take walks, visit dog parks, etc. Rovers availability options don’t quite accurately reflect my true windows of availability so get in touch and we will figure it out. I do have a 11 year old son so if requests are outside of school hours, there’s a chance he may be present - please let me know if your dog is not okay with children. I have a fenced yard and also live very close to 2 fenced dog parks within Canmore. I have a reliable vehicle and am willing to transport your dog to their favourite park or hike.

About: From age 8-14, I volunteered at the local animal shelter after school and on weekends, bathing, feeding, walking and playing with all kinds of dogs and cats. I grew up with cats as my family has had 3 throughout my lifetime. At age 19, I effectively trained my family's new Great Pyrenees puppy, Lilah. Now, I long-term dogsit for my friends pets when needed, including Laz - who is arguably the best Border Collie in the world. I've been providing top-notch pet care with Rover since 2024. Living in Canmore, I'm naturally super active and love to get outside hiking, cross-country skiing, walking, and being outside year-round. Dogs are always welcome on my adventures. I don't currently have any other pets of my own, so I can devote my full attention to yours. When I'm housesitting, rest assured that watering your plants, bringing in the mail and keeping the place clean and tidy is included.

About: I have been pet sitting for family, friends and through pet sitting websites for many years. I absolutely love pets and am looking to fill the void of missing mine whilst living in Canada. My four-year-old dog, Miel, is the perfect walking companion—well-behaved, friendly, and always ready to hit the trails. At home, she shares the space with Samba, my one-year-old cat, who has naturally claimed her role as queen bee of the house (no surprise there!). Before adopting Miel, I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, including seniors and reactive pups. I consider myself a “strict but loving” pet parent—structure is important, but I’m often found tossing a ball, handing out treats, or teaching new tricks between cuddles. I work from home here in Canmore and walk Miel three times a day—rain, snow, or shine. Our morning and evening walks are around 40 minutes on local trails, and midday we hit the dog park for some social time. If your pup enjoys canine company, they’re welcome to join us! I work from home, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I already walk my dog three times a day and visit the dog park—your pup is welcome to join us, or I can give them one-on-one time depending on their needs. Whether in my home or yours, I’ll follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet always has fresh water, food (if needed), and lots of attention. Safety and comfort come first.

About: I'm sorry, but I can only take small breeds of dogs at the moment. I have extensive experience with all breeds of dogs. I had a boarding at home business for 10 years with over 100 clients who booked a year in advance for my services. I will only take one dog at a time. This is ideal if your dog does not get along with other dogs. Also, will get a lot of one on one time. I can also provide home visit services. I am now retired so have plenty of time to care for dogs in my home. I am home most of the time so your dog will not be left alone much. I can provide home visits as well. Lots of care and attention will be provided for your dog. Long walks multiple times during the day.

About: I've worked at the SPCA and have experience with all types of cats and dogs. I've also got lots of experience with special needs animals and distributing all types of medications. Availability is wide open. I can pick up your dogs and take them for walks or to the dog parks. I can come over and feed your animals. Anything you need. I can take your dog over night at my house. About: Need someone to keep you buddy busy when you can’t be around? My partner and I are trail runners that would love to bring your pup along for the adventure. I’m available for dog boarding throughout the week and dog walk/runs in the evenings and weekends. We will also send you updates with photos of all your pups adventures. I have over ten years of experience caring for large breed dogs and have completed numerous obedience and training courses over the years. I believe mental stimulation is just as important as physical and therefore will enforce training while your pet is in my care. We lost our 8 year old dog, Rupert, to cancer in October 2023 and have since brought a new pup, Louie into our home. Louie loves every dog he meets and will be a great companion for any other dog staying in our home. My partner and I both work from home so your pup will spend very limited time alone. You can expect your dog to partake in a morning and afternoon walk along with a longer adventure in the evening. While we do have a fenced yard, your dog will not spend any time outside alone unsupervised. As my husband and I both work from home your dog will be supervised throughout the day.

About: I grew up with several family pets and my wife and I currently have 2 very active Australian Shepherds. My wife and I are outdoorsy and love walking, hiking, training and playing with our dogs. I’m currently available for walking services as well as drop-in visits. If you have a fenced area, I may also be able to provide doggy playdates with one of my Aussies to give your pet some playtime! In 2024 I’m available Saturdays & Sundays (usually anytime) and Mon-Fri (only after 6pm). My days off largely revolve around time with my wife and dogs outdoors, so some extra walks/drop-ins are easy to fit into my schedule. I’m happy to do drop-in services, and offer stimulating play sessions as well as exercise to keep your pet(s) occupied while you’re absent. One of my Aussies can join for added socialization/play sessions. A meet and greet is suggested prior to our first play session to ensure the dogs are compatible.

About: Hi! I'm Katrina. I'm an animal lover to the core. I have experienced caring for my own pets, as well as several years volunteering at animal shelters for dog walks and care. My husband and I fostered dogs through Pawsitive Match Rescue in Calgary and gave them all the love, patience, and guidance possible during their time in our home. This eventually led to us adopting Rhoda, who was our small, 15-year-old fox terrier x. She was the centre of our universe! Over the past few years, we've learned lots about senior pet care, including making our spaces and activities more accessible, as well as following a strict and varied medication schedule. As a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate person, I will do my utmost to give your furry best friend the most positive experience during our time together! I work full-time in Canmore (8:30-5) from Monday to Friday, which means I'm available after 5 p.m. most weekdays and often at various times on Saturdays and Sundays.
