“Thank you thank you to Shalaine for her excellent care of our dog, Chester. He wasn’t eating well before the stay and Shalaine provided him with home cooked meals. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Shalaine’s entire family pampered Chester and kept him very happy during his time with them.”

“Connie was a true professional going above. Her meet and greet was truly extra! We felt safe leaving our post surgery dog with Connie. She also didn’t send our loved one to the pound when we were late picking up her up!! Much appreciated!! Highly recommend Connie to others.”

“This is the first time using Rover and we scored the best home for our dog to stay while we were away. Our dog was well taken care of and the communication with Shanelle was outstanding. Will definitely recommend to others.”

“Kali was amazing! It was my first time leaving my dog Bruce with someone for a few nights, and Kali really put me at ease. She sent me updates everyday and was very lovely to chat with. I would highly recommended her and I will definitely book with her again should I need a sitter! Also her two dogs are so cute and friendly :)”

“Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!”

“Our dog had an absolutely wonderful stay with Saisoi. She was super with him and sent us regular pictures and videos so we knew he was well cared for. It made our trip much more relaxing as we were not worrying about him so much. We will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone.”

Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime, your cat prefers a quiet cuddle on the couch, or your pet simply needs some company and reassurance, I’m happy to provide care that makes them feel comfortable and at home. I’m communicative, and respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. I’ll make sure you receive updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and energy levels, and I'm happy to follow detailed instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, or anything else that helps your pet feel secure. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own❤️ I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member and provide them with the love, attention, and care they deserve! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and potty breaks, while also providing plenty of one-on-one attention. I understand that every pet has a different routine, so I’m happy to work with your schedule and follow your pet’s usual habits as closely as possible. Whether your pet needs an active day full of walks and play or simply some company and cuddles while you’re away, I can provide reliable and consistent care. My goal is to make your pet’s time away from you as comfortable, stress-free, and enjoyable as possible. 🐾 Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can feel secure and cared for. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs, and I follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine as consistent as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and care. I’m responsible, reliable, and attentive to details, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. Communication is very important to me. I’ll keep you informed throughout your pet’s stay or visit and will regularly send photos, updates, and little check-ins so you can see how your furry family member is doing. I want you to feel completely comfortable and reassured while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care I would want for my own. 🐾❤️
About: Hi I’m Jamie! I’m 35 and I currently do not have any pets as my beloved frenchie Mylo crossed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago. I have 15 years of dog care experience with age 8 weeks old all the way to seniors. I am a huge animal lover and I have taken part in wild life rescue as well as dog rescue. I also have extensive experience with French bulldogs and short nose breeds in particular as I have now been a dog mom to 3 of them and understand their unique care needs and how to be careful with them to prevent conditions like IVDD, heat stroke, allergies, and respiratory distress. I also have a lot of experience with puppies and potty training using only positive reinforcement methods. I don’t believe in “punishing” dogs for unwanted behaviour and will always treat your fur baby like family as they deserve to be treated. I take a calm, leadership role while also creating a connection with love and trust with all the animals I care for. I love to get outside and go for walks, go to the park, pup cups at Starbucks, and spend time playing with dogs in my care whether they are my fur babies or yours! I eventually will have another dog if my own when the time is right. Each one of my past dogs have all been loved so dearly and I understand how important our fur babies are to us pet parents. I promise to always care for them like they’re my own and always make them feel safe, secure, loved, and cared for. I only ever take 2 dogs at a time if they are from the same household as I don’t want to have too many dogs mixing together or not be able to give them the attention they all need. I am always home, so your pup will never be alone when in my care. I also have a lot of experience administering oral medications, so I am happy to care for dogs on medication. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! Every morning I have a set routine of getting up early (usually when the dog I’m caring for chooses around 7:45-8:45am) and start the day with a potty break in the yard, followed by breakfast for myself and the pup in my care. After that we go for an on leash walk/outing at a park or trail, often followed by a trip to Starbucks for a hot chocolate and pup cup! After that we head home and have some quiet/cuddle time. Then it’s lunch time and another potty break time! Usually later in the afternoon we have some indoor play time. I usually feed the dog(s) in my care dinner around 5:30pm and we will go on a shorter neighborhood walk before it gets dark. I try to keep bedtime not too late so we can keep a routine. For me, pets are family and I want to make them feel very welcome and at home. At my home, I have a mostly fenced yard and thick bushes in areas without fence and live very close to a really nice park. I do have a large crate, but I typically only use them for car travel unless the pet parent requests their dog be crated at night while they sleep (which would be in my bedroom with me). I always give my absolute all to give excellent care to pets! Dogs have a very special place in my heart and it’s a privilege to have their company and their parents’ trust. I will always be with your pet while they’re in my care as I do not leave them home alone to go anywhere. So they will be out and about with me or at home with me. I also live with my mom who has been the absolute best dog nana my dogs could have ever asked for through the years. She is so gentle and so loving with dogs, and it’s great to have her join in on the walks and snuggle time at home with any dog(s) we are caring for.
“We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Alex! We left our dog, Boss, in her care while we were away on vacation, and she was absolutely wonderful. Alex is a true pet lover who went above and beyond for our boy. When Boss got a little too adventurous and rolled in a muddy puddle, she didn't just wipe him down—she gave him a full wash so he was clean, happy, and fresh! Her facility is fantastic, featuring a huge, fully fenced dedicated play area where Boss could run around safely and burn off his energy. Knowing he was in such caring hands and had a safe space to play gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be booking Alex again on Rover for our next trip. Highly recommended!”

“Deborah/Mark- were excellent with Texas and had great communication with me through the entire stay. Lots of walks and play time with taking Texas to the dog park several times. The home was very clean and homely.”

“100%recommend ! Shari & Richard are very nice couple, very patient and loving. After DD returned home under the care of Shari& Richard ,the naughty boy became a very well behaved quiet gentle and obedient . Thank you Shari & Richard !”

“Lisa is truly the best dog sitter one could ever imagine. You wouldn’t find another sitter like her anywhere in the world—she is simply unparalleled! Without a doubt, she is the best of the best. Charlie had a wonderful time with her and the dogs she cares for. I feel incredibly lucky to have met such an amazing sitter, and I’m truly grateful for this connection.”

“We were very impressed with Leslie. She is wonderful with animals of all kinds. My dogs came home healthy and happy. We will ask Leslie to care for our boys in the spring when we take our next trip.”

About: Hi I'm Katie! Also known as that British lady! I have owned dogs my entire life, usually always two at a time. I currently have one of my own after losing three elderly dogs in the last few years. I now only have Ernie a chihuahua cross i rescued from Kansas in 2017. I've had experience with various breeds and fostered ex racer greyhounds for a while in the U.K. I also have two indoor/outdoor cats I rescued as kittens from local feral cat litters. I finish work for the Summer in June and can offer drop in services up to three times a day for dogs, cats and smaller furries if you live in the local area, Maple Falls etc. These can be whilst you’re at work to give your beloved pet a potty break or they can be for longer stretches of time while you vacation so you can feel secure your dogs are in their own home safe and comfortable. I can also board dogs in my own home from all over Whatcom county if they are dog/cat/responsible kid friendly. I have a fenced in yard and a very dog friendly house! I finish work for the summer in June and have a lot of availability for both walks, drop ins and boarding! From June 12th my schedule really opens up! I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly home. I have two dog friendly cats who are indoor and outdoor and tolerated living with four dogs and two kids. Dogs are allowed on my sofa and bed but only if you allow that at home… I don’t want to create bad habits!
“Heather was absolutely wonderful and took great care of our dog, Luka, while we were away for 8 days. She consistently kept us updated with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We felt completely confident leaving Luka in her care, along with Lucy, her adorable puppy. Thanks to Heather, we were able to truly relax and enjoy our vacation without any worries. I highly recommend her!”

“Wonderful first experience for both Ella and I. Randona gives consistent and transparent updates which provides a great level of comfort. Ella had a ton of playtime, new experiences, and new feline friends! Thank you!”

“Cassandra went above and beyond to make Mocha's stay as comfortable as possible. This is Mocha's 2nd stay away from us and he still has trouble being away from us. Mocha was shy and apprehensive at first but Cassandra tried different ways to get Mocha comfortable and before we knew it, Mocha got out of his shell. I would recommend Cassandra for your dogs boarding needs. I will definitely use her services again!”

We had a great experience! Oscar stayed for two days and was very well taken care of. I really appreciated getting pictures and updates while I was away—it was so nice to see that he was happy and comfortable. Oscar seemed to really enjoy himself, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in good hands. I would definitely book again and highly recommend!

Alexandra was amazing! My work schedule changed last minute and she was very flexible and quick to reply to messages making the last minute change smooth and stress-free. She sent updates with photos regularly and my dog was super happy in her care and loved her dog Katara.

Right from the first message, Lisa was friendly and clearly knowledgeable. She knew how to handle my cat's bullying other cats and how to feed him separately. Her home is beautifully set up for cats, there are windows and perches and it is a very clean, bright and welcoming space. When I dropped him off he walked right in. During the boarding Lisa messaged me every day, sent pictures and videos and paid him special attention. He really warmed to her and her mom and developed a friendship with their cats which was encouraging to see! I would recommend anyone looking for quality cat care to message Lisa and use her services. On my end I drove from Surrey to Abbotsford and it was worth it for such great care. :)

Maya just had a great time staying a whole week with Denise. I felt so much better about leaving my girl, knowing she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Denise, Maya will definitely be back. I was emailed pictures and updates throughout the week, and truly appreciated that she took the time to do that.

Jaxon has gone to Amanda's few times now. Now anytime we go to her house, he knows where he's going and gets all excited. Once the front door is open he just bolts upstairs to play with the kids. Jaxon loves it there could care less I'm leaving will just give quick good bye and off he goes to play. When I pick him he is just as excited. When my dog has a had great stay and is excited to stay with Amanda and her family that makes me feel happy and that he safe with them. Always my first choice to drop off Jaxon with Amanda. Will always go back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
