“We've had Taylor do check-in visits for 2 trips now. She is always super thorough and obviously cares about the animals. She goes above and beyond to communicate what's going on and also does a great job problem solving when something comes up. We'll definitely continue booking with her in the future. Thanks again Taylor!”

About: Hi there! I’m Emilie, and I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. I currently live with my big, fluffy Maine Coon cross, Ace, and my sweet, chubby tabby, Louie. Growing up with pets and having a long history of taking care of other people’s pets has given me over 10 years of experience in dog-sitting and house-sitting. I truly enjoy every moment spent caring for animals. I’ve had the pleasure of looking after my boss’s golden retrievers while he’s away on business, and I also help out a coworker with her pets when she’s out of town. I’ve spent time volunteering and working at an animal shelter, where I learned even more about animal care and developed a deep understanding of their needs. I’m experienced with special needs animals and seniors, and I’m comfortable administering medications to both dogs and cats. Plus, I know dog first aid, so you can trust that I’ll keep your pets safe and well-cared for, no matter what. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends! I am currently working full-time, Monday through Friday, in an office setting. I am available on weekday early mornings or evenings for dog walks/drop-in visits, and I am also available on weekends. I would love to spend time getting to know your pet(s)! I currently do not have the space to board your pet(s) at my place, however I am more than willing to housesit for you!
“Holly was amazing! She was so kind and caring with my cat Checkers. It’s clear that she really cares about the animals she looks after. Instructions were followed perfectly. I highly recommend Holly!”

About: I have lived with dogs all my life, my husband and u love to spend time with them, from past 4 years I have been taking care of friends dogs when they go on vacations, we have 2 dogs the pictures are uploaded. let your furry one stay with us and have fun on his vacation. I work from home and so does my husband and we have full time jobs but we are more then happy to have pets at home. I have a fenced backyard and we have a dogs who is living and playful with all the other dogs. We play fetch with the dogs that come and stay with us everyday
About: Currently volunteering at the BC SPCA I've also owned and taken care of dogs as long as I can remember from puppies to seniors (my oldest dog living to be 15 and all the care that requires) Training my pups up to be respectable companions and making sure they get all the exercise they need. I still frequently sit for friends and families dogs and I decided this could be a good first step to a career with animals. I'm currently volunteering at the SPCA. Beyond the time I spend there I have all the free time in the world and hope to spend it taking care of your pets I have a decent size yard for your pet to run around in and would follow all instructions and guidelines any clients would have. Taking care of a friend's puppy recently has made me very aware of things to keep clear of him and to keep him clear of in my house. I'll always be sure to run and play all the energy they have out of them so they're too tired to misbehave.
“Alexis provided great care for my cat Cleo! She provided daily updates and was very communicative. I felt completely at ease knowing that she was caring for Cleo while I was away. I would definitely recommend Alexis!”

“At the 1st meet and greet, Victoria and Kurtis were very helpful in getting our 1 dog, Rosie, to warm up quicker than usual! they are both knowledgeable, and experienced with many different dog situations, They were both eager to learn their routines, schedule, and behaviours, which helped make me feel comfortable leaving our 2 dogs. I would highly recommend and will be rebooking! Thanks, Victoria and Kurtis!”

“Maelyn was great! She was so comfortable with a new puppy and was extra mindful as my pup recently broke his leg. She ensured he was carefully back in his area before heading out. Would recommend!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life as small as mice and cats and dogs and as big as cows and goats I’ve also worked for a miniature horse rescue dog kennels and pet stores. I’ve been riding horses since I was five years old, i currently have 2 cats, a puppy, 2 goats, and a bunny so I am very comfortable with most animals. My daily or weekly schedule is mostly taken care of my animals and wanting to help out other people take care of their animals while they’re on vacation or at work Unfortunately, I cannot House cats or dogs at my house as I have two cats and a very hyper puppy, but I am very reliable when it comes to taking care of your pets at your house or taking them out for walks during the day and evenings

I spend a lot of my free time with them! I have a big back yard with plenty of room to run! And live so close to lakes! So lots of dog friendly activities near by! They get taken care of in a home environment!
About: I have experience working with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities, and I’ve done training with multiple dogs, which has helped me build a strong understanding of behaviour—especially with younger pups. I also have a reactive dog, so I’m very comfortable reading body language, managing triggers, and creating a calm, safe environment. Because of this, I feel confident caring for dogs with a wide range of needs and temperaments. I’ve provided dog and cat sitting for many families, so I’m used to following different routines and making sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I always treat every animal like my own. I truly love meeting new people and their pets, and I’d be happy to care for yours! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out 😊 I am currently not working as I just finished my Bachelor's, so I have plenty of time to stop by and care for your animal(s). Since owning a reactive dog I know how important it is to have a safe & trusting environment. I also understand the importance of routine and am more than happy to help with that in anyway possible.

About: I have had pets my whole life. I have a rescue her name is Dream she is turning 7 this year. I have worked with a private training to learn new skills that helped with training techniques for my dogs unique characteristics. I am all about the pet/owner respect I believe that a strong leader develops a strong bond with the animal and a calm state of mind which helps make the experience for both the animal and myself. I am very confident around animals which makes for a stress free experience for the pet owners, your dogs will be safe with me and I guaranteed a tired pup after our walks. I am willing to work on leash manners as well I can say from experience with a 70lb puppy a calm walk is a stress free walk for everyone involved. You just need the right tools to help you alone. I also understand some animals just want a solo walk/play time. My dog is crate trained and can be separated from a pet that needs 1:1 care. I am a nurse and my schedule is different every week. I work longer hours which gives me the freedom to have more days off. I live in a three floor town house, I am surrounded by parks and trails. I do not have small toys or objects laying around my house, my space is clean and organized, I only use none toxic cleaning supplies. I will care for your pet as if they were my own.
About: I have been a dog owner most of my life but due to our travels I do not have a pet at this time. My last pet was a boxer who lived to be almost 14 years old. My neighbour had a lovely dog and she has many times referred to me as the "other Mom" and often droped her dog off if she is going out for any extended period of time even though she know the dog would be fine on her own. All my friends know I have a passion for animals and miss owing a pet very much. I am retired and did accounting for several small businesses. My husbands background is in banking and he is also retired but doing business consulting for small businesses. If I was chosen to pet sit in your home you can be assured that all would be well and your pets spoiled rotten! I consider myself a very reliable and trustworthy person and am known for my promptness. I am currently retired and spent winters in Mexico where I was voluntering at a local humane society walking, cuddling dogs and cats. I would love to look after your pets in your home or take them walking. Unfortunately no pets are allowed in my complex. I have had years of experience with cats and dogs. Very passionate with all animals. Love walking, cuddling, feeding. I would treat all as my own.

Maelyn was great with Pacho. He is a senior who can sometimes be a bit stubborn and just needs someone who can be patient, as all he likes to do is sniff and roll around in the grass lol. He seemed comfortable with her and she did great following instructions, and communicates great! Would highly recommend her!

I'd like to extend my thanks to Taylor for taking excellent care of my two kitties while I was away! She went above and beyond, spent time playing with my pets, and managed great updates with pictures - even of my super shy cat who likes to hide from strangers! My pet received his medication on time every day and all food and water was topped up when I got home. Great job!

Muskaan was fantastic during the drop-in we scheduled for Guero. She responded quickly to our inquiry, took the time to do a meet-and-greet, and arrived right on time for the drop in. She kept us well updated and took great care of our boy. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible dog walker.
Tina was amazing! She was able to get my cat fitted into her busy schedule on a short notice! She's promptly on time and very respectful of the homes she visits. She sent many pictures of my cat having a grand time playing with her and she always ensures his needs are met with food, water, a few treats, and even a clean litter box each day!

Mani has been an amazing dog walker. She’s incredibly reliable and always quick to respond, which gives us great peace of mind. After each walk, she provides a detailed update. It’s clear that our dog is in great hands with her. We truly appreciate everything Mani does and she’s our go-to whenever we need a walker. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind with their pup! 🐾

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Abbotsford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
