Aleena was fantastic with my senior dog khloe. This was the first time I’ve had anyone watch her, other than family members and I was very impressed. Khloe is very shy and timid but Aleena was able to get out her to do her business and feed her dinner plus medication. Aleena was on time and very professional, great sitter.

About: I have experience with a wide array of animal care and pet sitting - from elderly cats and dogs that need physical and medical assistance, to puppies and kittens that need constant attention and stimulation. I have been entrusted by friends and family for years to be the designated animal sitter due to my flexible schedule as a student, and my calming and quiet nature with animals. I am currently a full time university student with a relatively flexible schedule. I am free most weekends and some weekdays for morning or evening appointments! I have an indoor cat I sometimes takes for walks outdoors in a carrier. My family dog is walked on a harness, and spends his time in our fenced in backyard when he decides he would like to get some fresh air!

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and for the past year and a half, I've been lucky enough to turn that passion into daily dog walking and care. Whether it’s getting pups out for a fun, enriching walk or making sure they get love and attention while you’re away, I’m here to ensure your dog feels safe, happy and cared for. I take the time to get to know each dog individually. Some love adventure and long walks, while others need a slower pace or a little extra patience - and I’m happy to adjust to whatever makes your dog comfortable. I’m also experienced with some leash training and helping nervous dogs feel at ease. I have my current pet first aid certificate so I’m prepared to handle unexpected situations calmly and confidently. I keep pet parents in the loop with regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! I provide full time pet care, so I have availability throughout the week, Monday to Friday. I also have some availability on weekends for pet sitting. I am unable to provide pet care services at my home. However, I am happy to provide pet sitting services at your location where your dog can feel most comfortable.

I’m retired and home full time, so your dog will get lots of attention, regular potty breaks, and loving supervision throughout the day. What sets me apart is the calm, nurturing environment I provide. I treat every dog like part of the family! with patience, kindness, and affection. I understand that each pet has unique needs, and I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. Whether your pup needs a quiet place to relax, a slow paced walk, or just someone to sit with them on the couch, I’m here to help. My gentle nature and calm home are especially ideal for senior dogs, shy pups, or dogs who need a little extra reassurance while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. As a dog owner and lover, I’m home full time and available throughout the day to give your pup the love, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it’s morning potty breaks, midday walks, or evening cuddle time, I’m here and fully present. My son Alexander also helps out daily, especially with walks, playtime, and making sure your dog gets plenty of attention and companionship. Between the two of us, your pet will never be left alone, we work together to keep their routine consistent, stress free, and full of love. Weekdays and weekends are both flexible for us, so we’re able to accommodate early drop offs & late pickups! I live in a quiet, pet friendly strata complex with a fenced grassy backyard, perfect for safe & supervised potty breaks and some fresh air. Inside, there’s plenty of room for zoomies, toys, and relaxed downtime. I keep the home calm, clean, and free of hazards, and I always make sure your pet has a cozy space to feel safe and comfortable. About: I bring several years of hands-on experience working with animals in both professional and personal settings. I’ve worked and volunteered with the Edmonton and Ottawa Humane Societies as a Canine Enrichment Facilitator, Animal Care Attendant, Adoption Coordinator, and foster parent. I’m confident working with puppies, adults, and senior dogs of all breeds and temperaments, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I’ve also worked as a professional dog walker, daycare attendant, and groomer’s assistant, giving me a strong understanding of canine behaviour, body language, and daily care routines. I have personal experience with reactive and dog-selective dogs, so I understand the importance of structure, boundaries, and reading subtle cues. I use a calm, patient, and positive approach to help dogs feel safe and supported in any situation. At home, I care for my two senior dogs and am very used to managing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog needs exercise, routine care, medication, or just some extra attention while you're away, I aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for—just like they would at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for multiple animals every day. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. I’m often available on short notice and can accommodate mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. Since I’m already outside frequently with the farm dogs and my own two pups, adding your dog’s walk or visit into my day is easy and enjoyable. I don’t offer in-home boarding because I live communally on a farm with my two dogs, two farm dogs, two cats, and three chickens. However, this means I’m extremely experienced in safely managing different animals, personalities, routines, and environments. When I provide drop-in visits or walks at your home, I make sure your pet feels secure, respected, and comfortable. I follow your routines closely—feeding, meds, enrichment, cleaning, or anything else you need. I always use positive reinforcement, move at the pet’s pace, and keep safety as the top priority on every visit.

About: Hi! My name is Trinity, and caring for animals has been such a huge part of my life for many years now. I have just under 5 years of hands-on experience working in a professional dog boarding and daycare environment, where I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. Through this experience, I’ve become very confident handling everything from playful puppies and high-energy dogs to senior dogs and those who may need a little extra patience, structure, or reassurance. I am certified in kennel environment dog first aid, so your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can fully trust, and I always strive to provide care that makes both pets and owners feel comfortable, safe, and supported. Alongside my daycare and boarding experience, I have also been house sitting professionally for the past 4 years. During that time, I’ve cared for pets in their own homes, helping maintain their normal routines and providing them with comfort, companionship, exercise, and lots of love while their families are away. I know how important consistency is for animals, and I do my best to make their time away from you as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with police dogs and service dogs, which has given me valuable experience working with highly trained dogs that require confidence, structure, and attentive handling. In addition to dogs, I’ve worked at a facility that also cared for cats, so I’m comfortable caring for feline friends as well and understand that every cat has their own unique personality and comfort level. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm and caring companion around, I always take the time to get to know their individual needs and personality. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, because I truly treat every animal as if they were my own. I currently work and attend school part-time, but I always do my best to be flexible and accommodate your pet’s needs. I’m available to stop by before work or school to let your pup out, provide care, or spend some time with them. If you’re looking for care at other times throughout the day, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to work around my schedule whenever possible! I have exclusively house sat in my clients’ homes, which allows pets to stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. Before any booking, I make sure I have your pet’s routine clearly written out and fully understand their needs, habits, and expectations. I also ensure I have all necessary tools, supplies, and information prepared before handling or caring for your dog, so we are both set up for a safe, smooth, and successful experience. I believe preparation, consistency, and patience are key to building trust and providing the best possible care for your pets.

Amanda was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of Rusty, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in her hands. She was kind, attentive, and always responded to our messages very quickly, which we really appreciated. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Rusty and made sure he was happy and well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with Amanda again. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Baker Trails on Rover is $29.97 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 625 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Baker Trails. About 88% of Baker Trails sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Baker Trails stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Baker Trails choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
