“Tiffany was wonderful with our two dogs and cat and gave great reports and photos. We will absolutely be using her in the future for more drop in visits when we’re out of town!”

“Sara took great care of both my cats, Jasper and Ella. She even went back to check on Ella when she was hiding, and sent me photo confirmation that gave me peace of mind. Reliable and caring highly recommend.”

About: I have been around dogs and taken care of them for about 5 years and I love them! My neighbors though out the years have always trusted me to walk, feed, and play with them. As far as cats, I have always been around them my whole life and finally had some of my own starting from age 12! I have a total of 14 years experience with cats, with having my own. I work until the early afternoon, so if you’re looking to have someone watch them for date nights or even overnight, I’m your gal! My cats are pretty calm and acclimated to other animals, but if you prefer I can also watch in a space where they are most comfortable!
About: I am a traveler who wants to spend weeks home with your pet!! I have owned dogs of all ages and know how to speak the language! Woof! 20 years of pet sitting experience from family pets as a teen, having my own old boy in my 20s, to helping family and friends with their babies now! I make my own schedule so I am highly available when I am not traveling! Very flexible. Always honest about my availability and what I am able to provide. I am very good at reading what a dog needs and not lazy about it. Walk at 5 am? On it. Weird feeding times? Not a problem.
About: I’m a lifelong cat lover with 12+ years of hands-on experience caring for my own cat, who recently passed away after a wonderful life. While I’m not ready to adopt yet, I’d love to care for yours. I’ve fostered a shelter cat, cared for a friend’s cat for about a year during COVID, and have cat-sat for friends many times. I also have some experience with dogs through friends—walking them together, spending time at dog parks, and playing with them at home. I’m comfortable around dogs of different sizes and personalities. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Depending on your pet’s needs, I can easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine and ensure your cat receives consistent attention, companionship, and care. I live in a house with a calm, cat-friendly environment and understand that every cat has its own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat enjoys playtime and attention or prefers a quiet, predictable space, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay.
“This was our 2nd time booking with Barb. She adapted well and adjusted her approach with our senior kitty who is on medications, as he had some challenges during the first few visits. She was patient with him and utilized her knowledge and expertise to administer his medications. Our other two babies enjoyed the visits. All three loved all the treats and lovins.”

“Having Linda drop in on my kitties everyday for 2 1/2 weeks has taken all the stress out of leaving them. Linda has been a wonderful pet sitter and their new best friend! Communication was excellent and I will definitely book her again.”

“Our normal sitter had a family emergency right before the holidays, and we are so thankful we found Kate in time for our kitties! Two of them need daily medications, and we have had hit or miss luck with different sitters (not from Rover) in the past, but all the cats loved her (even the one that normally hides!) and they all seem to be very relaxed and not panicked when we got home this time! We will absolutely be using her in the future and recommending her to friends in the area!”

“First time using Rover and Liam isn’t used to strangers so we were both a bit nervous. Punctual; being right on time for the scheduled appointments, responsive with great communication and regular updates. The photos are a nice touch and helpful. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.”

“Brittany is awesome! She gives the best notes on her check ins. Her notes are humorous and also let me see their behavior is normal while I am away. I worry less knowing my fur babies are happy and well cared for.”

About: My wife and I are a dedicated pet-loving team who will treat your pets like family. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, and my wife is a trained veterinarian with over 10 years of experience in Mexico. She’s currently working as a vet tech as she works towards the ECFVG certification which will allow her to practice as a veterinarian here in the U.S., bringing a deep understanding of animal health and behavior to every visit. We currently share our home with 3 dogs, 1 cat, 9 chickens, and 2 turkeys—so we’re no strangers to pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication, or just someone patient and kind, you can trust that they’ll be in safe, experienced hands with us. I work from home full-time, so your pet will have plenty of companionship and care throughout the day. I’m often outside with our own dogs, so your pet will enjoy lots of fresh air, playtime, and supervision. My wife works four days a week but is home in the mornings and afternoons, so between the two of us, someone is almost always around to give your pet the attention they need. Whether your dog loves being active or just relaxing with company, they’ll feel right at home here. Your pet’s safety is our top priority. We have a fenced backyard where smaller dogs can roam safely. For larger dogs, we use a secure tie-out cable system to give them outdoor time while keeping them safely contained. Inside the home, we can easily separate pets if needed—our basement and main living area are fully divided, making it simple to create calm, stress-free environments for each animal. Our chickens and turkeys are kept in a fully enclosed outdoor coop, well away from visiting pets, so there’s no risk of unwanted interactions. You can trust that your pet will be cared for in a safe, secure, and attentive environment
“Rebecca did a amazing job caring for my cat Benny . She even came out in very bad weather to do the drop in visit that I requested . She went above and beyond caring for him . I highly recommend her to care for any fur baby .”
About: I have been taking care of and training dogs my whole life. Over 30 years. I am known for having the best dogs on the block. My military friends have depended on me to watch their babies thru deployments of six months and longer in my home. I work full time, but I have a set schedule. This makes planning much easier. There is a moderate amount of flexibility to it. It makes it easy to take care of the sweetest member of the family. I live in an apartment but my complex has a fenced dog park at the building. Also there are parks around that are great for walking. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I work 7:30a-4:30p. However, I do work 10 minutes from home and my boyfriend is usually home around 3:00p. He helps me when I need it. I follow the routines of the pets at home. I walk dogs 3 times a day in the park next to my home. I do have crates of varying sizes to use if the dog is used to that at home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
