“Barbara was wonderful! She brought toys to play with the kitties, and we even discovered a new one that they will enjoy. She sent videos and updates every day, which put us at ease. Huge thanks to Barbara!!”

“Tiffany was wonderful with our two dogs and cat and gave great reports and photos. We will absolutely be using her in the future for more drop in visits when we’re out of town!”

“Nina is a literal angel on earth! Not only is she absolutely wonderful with our pets, but while we were away, a pipe burst in our house, and she took care of the entire mess. Nina is so kind, caring, and thoughtful. I recommend her to anyone a thousand times over!”

About: I have been watching dogs through Rover for the past three years or so. I truly enjoyed having a dog around and decided to adopt one of my own. I enjoy taking dogs for walks, I check in on dogs, cats and birds in my neighborhood. And I would love to care for your dog for a few days in my own home or stop by yours so you can enjoy a vacation without having to worry about your fur baby. I currently work full time so weekends are best. However, I am a teacher and I will have more availability during spring break and the summer months. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I am willing to take your dog for walks. I am home for most of the weekend and will be able to provide care and comfort for your dog. I also have three teenage children who are able to help out if I will be away for a few hours.
“Absolutely amazing sitter. She came in last minute and spent some great time with baby Rue. Love all the pictures she updates with us. She cleaned her off when she had an accident and worked well with some mix up when we forgot to leave the key outside. She’s the best!”

“First time using Rover and Liam isn’t used to strangers so we were both a bit nervous. Punctual; being right on time for the scheduled appointments, responsive with great communication and regular updates. The photos are a nice touch and helpful. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.”

“Karissa is so sweet and always treats our dog with such kindness when she visits. She’s also great with communicating about my dog and what her behaviors are that day. Makes me feel like I’m there in person! Thank you so much!”
About: I got my first dog when I was three and have always had 5+ animals in the house. I am good with any breed of dog. I have some puppy training experience and I can also work with disability animals. I just need to know if they have medication and the time to take them or other accommodations that they might need. I’m not sure if people have reptiles that need sitting but I’m good with those too. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with puppies or any other animals. I have always had a soft spot for animals so I love spending time with them. I have a dog who gets taken potty every couple of hours and is fed every morning and every night. I also have a cat and two leopard geckos. My cat and dog are usually upstairs so I can keep the other animals downstairs if they’re not pet friendly. My geckos stay in my room.

About: PET SITTING — In Your Home • Dog sitting • Cat sitting ABOUT ME Hi! I’m Jessica - a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I currently have 1 dog and 3 cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to feel confident when someone else is caring for your pets. My promise is simple: I’ll treat your animals with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I work full‑time Monday–Thursday, but I’m available for morning and evening visits on those days. Weekends are fully open, and I’m happy to customize a schedule that works best for you and your pets. SERVICE AREA Pevely Festus Herculaneum Crystal City (Additional fee applies for locations more than 25 minutes from my home.) CONTACT I work full‑time Monday–Thursday, but I’m available for morning and evening visits on those days. Weekends are fully open, and I’m happy to customize a schedule that works best for you and your pets. In my home we have back yard and lots of down time to cuddle and love on both my dog and cats. About: My wife and I are a dedicated pet-loving team who will treat your pets like family. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, and my wife is a trained veterinarian with over 10 years of experience in Mexico. She’s currently working as a vet tech as she works towards the ECFVG certification which will allow her to practice as a veterinarian here in the U.S., bringing a deep understanding of animal health and behavior to every visit. We currently share our home with 3 dogs, 1 cat, 9 chickens, and 2 turkeys—so we’re no strangers to pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication, or just someone patient and kind, you can trust that they’ll be in safe, experienced hands with us. I work from home full-time, so your pet will have plenty of companionship and care throughout the day. I’m often outside with our own dogs, so your pet will enjoy lots of fresh air, playtime, and supervision. My wife works four days a week but is home in the mornings and afternoons, so between the two of us, someone is almost always around to give your pet the attention they need. Whether your dog loves being active or just relaxing with company, they’ll feel right at home here. Your pet’s safety is our top priority. We have a fenced backyard where smaller dogs can roam safely. For larger dogs, we use a secure tie-out cable system to give them outdoor time while keeping them safely contained. Inside the home, we can easily separate pets if needed—our basement and main living area are fully divided, making it simple to create calm, stress-free environments for each animal. Our chickens and turkeys are kept in a fully enclosed outdoor coop, well away from visiting pets, so there’s no risk of unwanted interactions. You can trust that your pet will be cared for in a safe, secure, and attentive environment

Jessica was wonderful! We recieved better updates and pictures then when we used a center, our dog got to stay in her own environment, and Jessica was kind enough to help with feeders for our hummingbirds outside. Most importantly, my dog is comfortable and safe with her. 10 stars

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
