“Rachel is sooooo understanding and patient with our very cautious and overly protective shepherd. She is attuned to his moods and cues, and always succeeds in getting him out for his scheduled walk, along with his sister. Yay for Rachel!”

“Darnelle was very communicative, on time, and followed our instructions to a tee! We felt at ease hiring her to walk and feed our doggy and will definitely consider booking her again in the future!”

About: I was lucky to share five wonderful years caring for my beloved cat. When I found him on the street, he was just a tiny kitten—barely a pound—who loved to curl up on my head every night, just like in my profile picture. With love, patience, and daily care, he grew into a smart, playful, and healthy 15-pound gentleman. We were truly best friends, and he brought endless joy and warmth into my life. Caring for him taught me what it means to be responsible, to respect an animal’s needs and personality, and to love unconditionally. Through him, I discovered not just the joy of pet companionship, but a deep bond that felt like both friendship and family. I bring this same love, care, and understanding to every cat I look after. 🐾 I currently work from home and have plenty of time to care for your furry friend. I’m generally available after 10:00 AM, and I’d love to help out while you’re busy. Thank you for giving me the chance to be a friend to your baby — I truly appreciate the opportunity! 🐈 🐾 Check on your cat’s mood and health, with a photo or video update 🐾 Feed and refresh water as instructed 🐾 Scoop litter and tidy the area 🐾 Offer playtime or quiet company, if your cat wants it 🐾 Handle any special requests (just let me know) 🐾 Send a final update before leaving
“Cassidy is great! I always get thorough updates and she has been flexible with our last minute requests. She is very capable and experienced and I know my (sometimes anxious) pup is in good hands!”

About: I’ve worked at a doggy daycare/grooming shop in Saratoga for a year and have worked with many ages from young puppies to senior dogs. I am a caring person and would love to gain more experience working with different types of dogs! I am currently working full-time, but I work from home, so I can usually help out on weekends any time, especially if booked in advance, and usually week days too! I will likely not be providing boarding services as I live in an apartment currently, but I know of many local parks and can take dogs to and from!
About: I have always had a deep love for dogs, growing up with one in my hometown. My experience expanded significantly during my time as an au pair in Germany, where I cared for Hannah, a beautiful Golden Retriever. Hannah was incredibly loving with her family but reactive around other dogs - she would bark and lunge toward them. I learned to read her body language, redirect her attention with treats and commands, and keep her calm during walks by choosing quieter routes and using positive reinforcement techniques. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for behavioral or health changes. Whether it's an energetic pup needing mental stimulation or a senior dog requiring gentler care, I adapt my approach to each dog's unique needs. I'll treat your furry family member with the same attention I'd want for my own future Golden Retriever (coming this September!). Currently: I'm completely free this summer until September 11th! This is the perfect time to build a great relationship with your pet before my fall classes begin. Starting fall quarter (September 22nd), I'll be a nursing student at De Anza College with a flexible weekday schedule that's perfect for pet care! My classes will only be on Monday mornings (9am-12pm) and Tuesday/Thursday evenings (3-7pm), leaving me plenty of time for your furry friends. My availability: Right now (until Sept 11): Available weekdays anytime! Fall semester: Weekday mornings, afternoons, and most evenings Weekends: Very rarely available - I prefer to keep weekends for personal time unless I have no other plans Advance notice: I prefer 1-2 days notice to ensure I can give your pet my full attention I'm available for: Dog walking (30-60 minutes) Drop-in visits (30-45 minutes) House sitting (day visits only - no overnight stays currently) My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care while pursuing my passion for helping others, both human and furry! Your pet's safety and comfort are my absolute priorities. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for any changes in behavior or health. Having cared for pets as an au pair in Germany and Austria, I know how crucial trust is when caring for someone's beloved family member. I maintain open communication throughout our time together and treat every pet as if they were my own. Safety measures I follow: •Keep dogs securely leashed unless in owner-approved off-leash areas •Stick to familiar, safe routes you recommend •Ensure your home remains secure during visits •Immediate communication if anything unusual occurs I'm fluent in English, Thai, and conversational in German, making me comfortable with San Jose's diverse community. I have reliable emergency transportation and your vet's contact information readily available.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 12 years, and honestly, I can’t imagine life without them. From tiny pups to gentle giants, healthy tails to those with special needs, I’ve loved and cared for them all. I’ve always had dogs of my own and have also been lucky enough to help care for friends’ and neighbors’ pups over the years. Even though I work a standard 9–5, my partner is always home, so your pup will never be left alone for long. Between the two of us, there’s always someone around for walks, playtime, and snuggles. We make sure pets get plenty of attention and care throughout the day — mornings, evenings, and weekends are all filled with quality time. Whether caring for pets in my home or in yours, their safety and comfort are always my top priority. I provide a calm, loving environment where pets can feel secure and happy. I pay close attention to their routines, keep a watchful eye on their needs, and give them plenty of love and attention. I’m careful with doors, gates, and leashes to make sure everyone stays safe, and I treat each pet like they’re my own.

I’m available throughout the day and can dedicate as much time as needed to care for your pet. Whether it’s extended stays, drop-ins, or walks, I’d love to make your pet’s care a part of my everyday routine. I’m currently searching for my next remote job opportunity, which means my schedule is quite flexible. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or yours, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. When boarding, I can make arrangements for my dog to stay elsewhere for your pets' comfort. When house sitting, I follow your specific instructions, tidy up, and always treat your space with respect. I will happily send photo updates so you can stay connected while you’re away. If your pet has special needs (mobility, diet, etc.), I am even more detail-oriented with my care! “Nubia and Maria have been taking care of my senior dog for a year now, and all I can say is they are heaven sent! They are practically co-parents when it comes to my dog. I can tell they love my dog like their own and truly care for his welfare. As for visits/walks, Nubia and Maria are very flexible and accommodating with my often crazy work schedule. Don't stop doing what you're doing, ladies!”
About: Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Sora. I recently graduated from University of California - Irvine and since moved to NorCal for work and to hopefully pursue veterinary school. I'm also a proud cat-mom to the sweetest kitty in the world. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I couldn't imagine a life without them — that's why I went from pre-med to pre-vet after all! I'm incredibly passionate about dog training and helping them live their best lives. I had a labrador retriever, aka my heart-dog, Gazebo, that I trained for over a year and half in the hopes he'd be able to assist me as a multi-purpose service dog. Unfortunately, he was retired early but I learned so much from working with him. I trained him under the tutelage of several professional trainers, though I won't go so far as to claim I'm a professional myself in any way. Reactivity training is also something I'm passionate about. Whether it be fear based, excitement based, or something else altogether, I want to be able to help dogs live their best lives. If you have a training program that you'd like for me to follow during a walk or visit, please let me know! I'll always do my best to accommodate and work with you. Your dog's safety and wellbeing will always come first though, and should I feel I'm unable to follow through, I will always let you know. I'm honored you're putting your trust in me and the least I can do is do my best in whatever I do for you and your pup. I currently work part-time but can easily fit in walks and drop-ins around my shifts! I travel via electric scooter so getting to your home won't be an issue for me. As I owner trained my service dog, I'm familiar with different training methods, such as LIMA and training tools. I have experience with e-collars, martingales, and prong collars, though I prefer to be R+ as much as possible. Aka, treats, praise, and so much love. I'd be more than happy to keep up any training while walking your dog, such as redirecting reactivity or carrying treats for walks! I have a kitty who screams for food twice a day, so I'm well used to the (insistent!) routine cats follow. I'm also used to pets needing space and not having attention 24/7, as well as having experience with crate training. I believe it's important for all pets to be able to settle at home without needing constant stimulation.
About: Hi Rover friends! Growing up with dogs all my life, dogs simply make the world a better place! Occasionally taking care of my brothers pup, Bailey, a german shepherd, I tagged along for puppy training and learned the basics on helping train Bailey. With that experience I learned the important steps of slowly interacting puppies with older dogs, taking her to the dog park and letting her learn on how to interact. I look forward to helping you with your dogs in any way I can and please feel free to ask me any questions along the way. I am very flexible and accommodating when it comes to travel & time. Aside from dog experience, I love the outdoors, working out, traveling and Go Sharks & Giants :)

Kelly Z.
“Kelly is an incredible pet caregiver- trustworthy, patient, loving, and very detail-oriented. Her interactions with my pets are always full of love and she takes the time to really learn their personalities & preferences so that she can provide elevated care to them. I boarded my large dog Oolong with her for a week and she did a phenomenal job making sure that he felt at home- she brought out several soft blankets for him to choose, played with him everyday and provided a large variety of toys for him, let him curl up on her bed/couch, gave him all the attention he needed, etc. I could tell he was thoroughly enjoying his time with her through all the picture and video updates she provided. I also appreciate that she is so great at handling my cats, even with their wide range of personalities. I can be away from my pets without feeling anxious because I know they’re being treated well by Kelly :)”
